Day 51
"I wanna go home..." Seol Ae frowned, sitting on the floor of their temporary studio. Due to the fact their actual studio is currently decked out in blue curtains and carpet they were temporarily moved to a different studio.... three floors higher... and the elevators recently broke so they had to take the stairs. es.
"We can't we have filming later," Holly groaned from her own spot on the floor.
"I say we skip," Seol Ae giggled.
"Can we?" Holly jumped up.
Haneul rolled her eyes from her spot at the side, "No we are not skipping filming."
"But today is the variety show I don't wanna!" Holly whined.
"You're just saying that because you weren't good at variety practice when we were trainees," Hye Rin shrugged, gingerly sipping from a cold water bottle.
"Yeah cause she talks too much," Seol Ae snickered.
"Not my fault my tounge is dangerous for an idol," Holly shrugged.
"It kind of is," Hye Rin said.
"I swear if you two start fighting because of this..." Haneul let her words end as if it was a threat, which gave the desired effect of the members to stop fighting.
"Now we are going to do this and do it right, this is very important."
"I'm with unnie on this one," Hye Rin said. "Variety is very important for an idol, it can make it easier to pick who we like and who we don't."
"But variety isn't everything-" Holly was cut off by Seol Ae.
"It also shows how well they react in front of a staged camera, it's different than right now since they don't have to put on such a giggly ready-to-laugh-at-any-second front. I mean just because you at it doesn't mean you're uncomfortable with it, so whoever is the most uncomfortable gets the boot."
"Girls get dressed we have to go!" Minseok spoke up from behind the table he was previously working at, shuffling away his papers.
The girls nodded and went to the designated changing room with the clothes the stylists picked out earlier.
They all gave eachother odd looks when they saw each other, Holly turned to Seol Ae, "Why are we all comfy then there's you?"
Seol Ae shrugged, "I kinda like it, it's a bit too simple for my taste but I look hot either way."
The manager led the girls out of the studio and into their van, where they spent the next hour due to heavy traffic. The ride was only supposed to be twenty minutes tops and the girls were already annoyed as it is.
When they, finally, arrived at the first SM building they eagerly made their way to one of the designated studios that was purposely set up to slightly resemble an actual variety shows stage. Obviously it had the large mirror but against the other wall (which blocked the windows) were three tier bleachers and a podium to the left of the base. All of this was slightly rised up to show how small a stage really is.
Once again the director approached the girls like they were buddy-buddy, to their disgust, and attempted to envelope them in a hug but Minseok quickly stepped in the way with the guise of asking him a question.
The girls stepped back in relief and greeted the trainees who just walked in, starting up small chatter.
"Alright it's time to film! Girls I want you to pick two members to stand behind the podium and take the position as MC while trainees I want you to sit on the bleachers, don't worry we brought blankets for you to place on your laps," the director clapped his hands, wanting things to be done virtually in seconds.
The four members turned to each other and to do a quick game of kai-bai-bo. The two MC's resulted in Hye Rin and Haneul, to Haneuls fear.*
Seol Ae and Holly quickly dashed out of the room, desperatly wanting some type of freedom from the horrible thing known as staged variety training.
All the girls took their places and soon the cameras started rolling.
CAMERA ON
"Hello and welcome to fourth episode of Becoming A Legend," Hye Rin greeted, tightly holding the thick paper cue card in her small hands. Her nervouseness was at an all time high since she knew the leader would like to say the least amount as possible. "Today we will be testing all the trainees in their variety and interview abilities, welcome everyone."
The trainees all greeted and waved to the camera.
"Now today all of our questions are actually asked by viewers! Ever since the recording of the show had been announced a few days ago the response has been crazy so the first question, how did all of you become trainees? And also introduce yourself," Hye Rin turned to the girls, relieved she won't have to talk for atleast five minutes.
The trainees decided to go in order of how they were sitting so Minhwa began first, the microphone clutched in her hand, "Hello I am Minhwa, I actually became a trainee because singing actually has helped me a lot in the past and present. If I could singing would be the only thing I would do with my life, that's how much it means to me. After awhile I finally decided to audition for SM and was accepted a few months later and the rest is history."
Yerim, who was sitting next to her, gave the younger a reassuring pat on the shoulder before answering, "Hi my name is Yerim and I actually decided I wanted to become a dancer after I watched BoA-ssi's debut back in 2000. I trained for awhile before going to audition and was accepted on my first try. Obviously I had a lot of hardships on the way but this is what I want to do, this is what I want for myself."
Baekhui gave a small smile before she began to talk, "Hello I'm Baekhui and I've act
