It seemed the time stood nearly still...
Every sound seemed to be more noticed and hollow.
Colors were gone and light shone more brightly...
So brightly they hurt my eyes.
I closed my eyes and felt how the world was starting to slip away beneath my feet.
Different voices yelling... two close to me...

Time passed, I felt it, but I wasn’t there...

You fell so suddenly!

NiMa’s POV:

DaMae, don’t leave me!
You still have to come to my birthday sleepover!
I can’t celebrate it without you, it won’t feel the same!
Wait! Am I really this selfish?
Dramatic, dramatic, please stop this NiMa!
Well, ChangMin seems really broken...
He even fights back his tears!
Maybe he isn’t that bad after all...
He seems to be caring about DaMae a lot.
Although that could be an act of selfishness too!
Hm, is it?
Maybe, maybe not...
ChangMin did carry DaMae in his arms to the First Aid post nearby...
She means something to him... but WHAT does she mean to him?

The sounds started to get less blurry, I was not dead...
I was coming to life again.
I was reaching surface slowly...
Something cold was resting on my forehead.
When noticing it was wet also, I gained my conscious back...
I opened my eyes to see where I was.
I lay on a stretcher-like bed, in a First Aid post.
Nice place to wake up!
It seemed I was one of the victims of summer...
When it’s summer there are always people passing out from having drunk too less.
I remembered...
My last drink today was a glass of pineapple juice at lunch.
Before that, I had only drunk one mug of tea, at breakfast.
Of course that was way too less to survive a warm summer day!

At my sides were the two people I loved the most, other than my parents.
ChangMin and NiMa.
Their faces were looking at me with such worried expressions that I couldn’t hold back a chuckle...
As I chuckled their faces relaxed and they smiled, relieved.
‘I’m okay! Nothing to worry about!’ I said, hoping I could get up without passing out again...
‘Are you sure?’ ChangMin asked, still a bit worried...
‘I’ll help you up!’ NiMa said, trying to get my attention.
‘Thanks, I’m really thirsty!’ I said.
‘I still have some pineapple juice for you!’ ChangMin said, ducking in his bag to get me some.
‘Or you can have my bottle of water!’ NiMa said, showing me the bottle in her hand.
Were they going to fight over me... HERE?
‘I’ll drink both!’ I said to avoid anyone feeling pushed aside...
I could smack their heads at the reaction they showed.
They looked at each other with rivalry shown on their faces...
They would never lose me!
Both of them!
If I didn’t need to drink this urgent, I wasn’t going to drink any of their drinks!

I drank half of the water of NiMa’s bottle first.
Knowing ChangMin was pouting and NiMa felt victorious.
Then I drank all the pineapple juice there was straight from the carton.
ChangMin had a stunned face and NiMa looked defeated...
If it wasn’t because of me I would have laughed about their reactions.
Since it WAS because of me, I found it irritating to notice their jealousy towards each other...

ChangMin’s POV:

Aah!
What’s wrong with that girl?
Is she jealous of me or something?!
I will show her DaMae is mine!
I’ll just kiss her in front of that girl!

ChangMin moved towards me cupping my head into his hands.
Did he expect to just kiss me and win this stupid "competition" with NiMa?
I didn’t want to lose NiMa’s friendship over him...
I bowed my head in his hands, so he could not kiss my mouth.
But this guy didn’t give up...
He hugged me instead.
I could do nothing but hug him back...
See, I was in love, I could not refuse him for very long...
I looked apologetic to NiMa, who turned and took off without another word...
I just knew she was really pissed with me and even more with ChangMin...

I had to make up with her!
Although I couldn’t do that right now...
I was going to talk with ChangMin first, besides, NiMa wasn’t ready to talk to me again...
She had been mad at me for the second time today and she would take more than an hour to give it a rest...
‘Where is your friend?’ ChangMin asked, when he released me from his hug.
Typically!
He didn’t even see her leave!
He looked really confused...
‘Was she jealous of me or something?’ ChangMin asked hesitant.
ChangMin must never know that all of my friends were against our relationship...
He would suffer unnecessarily from them.
How could I ever tell him they doubted his love and they thought I was going to get dumped soon?!
It would hurt him, yet he could do nothing about it...
So, he wasn’t supposed to know.
‘Eh... NiMa doesn’t like it when she can’t take care of her dongsaeng...’ I answered...
Especially not when a guy she doesn’t like does that for her... I added in my mind...
It was the truth, but a small part of the truth...
‘Oh...’ ChangMin answered, clearly not knowing what to think of that...
‘So, she does not have a crush on you, or something?’ He asked a bit unsure.
‘No! Of course not! We have known each other from elementary school! She practically feels like a sister to me!’ I said, hoping he would then drop the subject.
‘...but do you feel like a sister to her too?’ ChangMin asked, now seriously...
‘Don’t ask such silly questions! She told me about a guy she liked!’ I answered, laughing his concern off.
‘Do you know who that guy is?’ ChangMin asked in a last attempt to be taken seriously...
‘Yes and I won’t tell you!’ I said, teasingly while I ran off.
‘Ya! Come back!’ ChangMin yelled and ran after me.
I had to laugh so much I was almost unable to run.
ChangMin could run way faster and grabbed my waist within a minute...
‘Where did you think you were going?’ ChangMin asked laughing and then kissing me.
‘Hmm... I think I’m going nowhere!’ I said, enjoying it to be in his arms.
