Chapter 3

"An Unforgettable First Date"

After 20 minutes of driving on the motorcycle he stopped near a park. The grass were green and there was a small pond there. There were also a few grown ups with their kids and dogs. I took of my helmet and gave it to Hongki. He placed both of them on his motorcycle and grabbed my hand.

We walked towards one of the available benches and both of us sat down on it. I sat on the opposite side of Hongki and he was looking at me and smiling. Once again i felt myself blushing. I put my head down and began playing with my fingers.

"Do you always do that with everyone or is it just me?" He suddenly asked. I looked up at him confused.
"Huh? Do what?"
"Look down and play with your fingers. Is that a habit of yours or is it because of me?"
"Oh, no. It's a habit..."

Yeah, starting now it is a habit. I never did anything like this before, but everytime i saw Hongki i couldnt find myself to look into his eyes. If i did i would turn red in an instant so i always put my head down.

"Ah, i see" A couple of minutes of silence went by, until Hongki spoke again. "Do you want ice cream?" He pointed to the man who was selling ice cream. 
I nodded. "Sure".
"I'll be right back"

I smiled at him and watched him as he went over to buy the ice cream. Why was i like this? If Sumin hadnt mentioned that Hongki might like me i would have been fine now. I looked down at the table and sighed. Dont get your hopes up, Mi-cha. "This is not a date, this is just two friends hanging out".
"Do you really think that?" I looked up and Hongki was standing next to me, with two ice creams in his hand.

I panicked. What was i supposed to say? He handed me one of the ice creams and sat on the opposite side of me. He was being really quiet while eating his ice cream. I took a piece of mine too. This was awkward. I felt like i should say something.

"Sorry that i'm not much fun" He looked up at me and this time i didnt look down at the table. Instead i looked at him and i was probably turning red, but hopefully he wouldnt notice.
"Is this your first time out on a date?"
"D-date?"
He laughed nervously. "I guess i should have been more clearer yesterday. I was asking you out on a date".
"So Sumin was right..." I muttered.
"What?"
"Nothing. So this is a d-date?"
"Isnt it?" He smiled. 
"I dont know, to answer your question, i've never been on a date before, so i dont really know how a date is supposed to be like".
"I see. Then i'll make sure it's gonna be a precious memory to you and an unforgettable first date".

I smiled at him and things were a little easier now. This was a date. My first date ever and it happened to be with Hongki. Maybe i was starting to fall for him after all. Or maybe i was just crazy? 

"So, on your first date, what do you want to do?"
"Surprise me" I smiled at him.
"Alright then. Lets finish this ice cream and leave".
"Leave where?"
"I thought you wanted me to surprise you".

He smirked and i nodded. We finished our ice cream. We went over to his motorcycle and he sat on and gave me one helmet. I looked at the motorcycle and a thought crossed my mind.

"I have never tried driving a motorcycle before. Can i try?"
He smirked and looked at me. "Do you really want to try?"
I nodded in excitement. "Yes!"
"Forget it".
"Why?" I pouted.
"I dont want you to get hurt" He leaned his hand over and caressed my cheek. "Now, put your helmet on and get on" He said as he put his helmet on. I sighed in defeat and put my helmet on and got on the back. I was about to wrap my arms around him, but instead he did it for me. 

I smiled as we drove through the streets. I enjoyed it alot. After what felt like forever he finally stopped the motorcycle. We both got off and he took both of our helmets off. It was pretty empty, except for a guy who was sitting on some stairs, reading a book. I looked up at a small building.

"Where are we?" I asked.
"This is where me and Jonghun lives". I looked at him and he noticed my expression and he smiled. "Dont worry, Jonghun is working".
"Oh... do you work as well?"
"I do, but today is my day off".
"Where do you work?"
"See that place there?" He pointed to a bar. It didnt look like much, the sign was about to fall off and the building looked like it would collapse any time soon. 
"Do you really work there?" I looked up at him. 
He laughed. "No, i was just kidding. I work at the cafe we went to yesterday. Jonghun
