Saturday – Almost Lunch Time

Minho’s Place

Minho, with his specs, upon learning from his father that Key and company will be arriving at lunch time persistently waits for the moment to come.
Standing by the porch outside their living room that is overlooking the Kim’s Estate two huge gates, he would check his watch to catch Key’s arrival.

Meanwhile Donghae who’s noticed his son’s actions catapulted after he had told him about Key’s arrival before lunch, exhales loudly as he too nonstop observes his son’s desperate longing behavior.

Without him noticing, he now realizes that he is just few feet away facing Minho’s back and leaving no choice but to…

“Minho… You may want to sit down…”

Minho turns to look at him with a face mixed of worry and excitement…

“Dad…I am fine…Right…lunch time…?”

“Yeah… according to Tiffany.
Probably by now, they are on their way here…”

Minho nods and without faltering continues with his probe of waiting.
Donghae though wishing for a different kind of life for his son; he could have wanted that MInho's love regardless even on same condition be reciprocated.

He could have been a lot happier if he has fallen in love with another guy rather than be continuously uncertain whether his son’s love is logically attainable – and thus, is also a yearning endless ambiguous state for him as well.

“Minho…?”

“Yes Dad…”

“Why Key…?”

At this moment, he spots two cars approaching the first gate that he elatedly looks at his father and asks…

“Dad… they are here...!”

Donghae smiling while sighing could only offer his support beneath the doubt of whether Minho will be successful in this mission called love, thinking…

“Seemingly, history repeats itself…”

“Dad…
I can see Aunt Tiffany coming out of the main door…
Come look…!”

Donghae smiles hearing his son mentioning Tiffany says to himself…

“Just like you, I was also hopelessly in love
with someone and reciprocated but not
realizing it…
I don’t know what future lies ahead of you…”

“Dad…? Dad…! Hey…! Are you listening…?”

“(awakened by Minho’s calling)
Hhmmm… aahh…oh yeah… what is it…?”

“I said Aunt Tiffany…look over there…
She’s waiting…
Don’t you have plans to visit her…
I mean, you are not doing anything to fulfill your destiny…”

Donghae laughs at his son’s hypothesis but ironically what the latter just stated is true…
So he replies…

“I would be happy if I am not the one moving
ahead right now.
Tiffany and I are taking it slow as we see no
hindrances along the way.
So I believe, I would be more happy to help
you achieve you love until you tell me so to stop…”

Minho smiles sweetly listening to what his father just stated.
He breathes deeply and continues to his mission.
 And then, his spirit lifts up seeing Key going out of the car being welcomed by Tiffany that unknowingly he speaks softly…

“Dad… I love Key so much…
I will love him no matter what...
(looks at his Dad) I do not know what the result
might be but I do not mind experiencing them.
This is life.
It would be great to experience happiness and pain.
I will be happy to live that life’s experience…”

Donghae smiles at his son’s determination so different from how he had acted before and it amazes him.

“Minho…I think they are all inside the house.
Let’s take lunch now…”

“Yes…
(smiling widely) Dad…let’s eat…”

“Son…
With the kind of perseverance you have…
I believe no matter the circumstances are you
will be able to overcome them…
(puts his arms around Minho’s shoulder)
To fail…”

“Dad… At least I have fought for love…”

“Oh…”

“But…Dad… Key will see my love…”
