At the Veranda

Key quietly sipping his tea after the meal while Onew, Jonghyun and Taemin have finally found to have a good relationship and Tiffany joining them suddenly looks at all of them with inquisitive eyes and tone…

“So tell me…”

Caught unaware Onew and Jonghyun make sudden shocked expressions on their faces.
Onew looks at Jonghyun slowly blinks eyes connoting support by which the latter discreetly understands looks at Tiffany and Taemin that are agreeing with what Key’s just mentioned promptly replies…

“Key-ssi, Onew and I thought that you join the
most coveted international biennial competition
happening this year…”

And Key looks Onew and Jonghyun with perceptive eyes then looks at the horizon on uncertain gaze stating…

“Is it a must…?”

At this moment, Jonghyun nudges Onew to perform his part of Key’s Participation agenda states...

“Yes… you only have to appear one time
But during the contest, you may choose not to show yourself,
Jonghyun and I thought that people from all ages
with the passing of times should see your work of arts.
If it suffice to say this, to keep attune with times…”

Key looks at all of them; gets his cup of tea, walks away from them at few meters distance and spotting a cemented bench sits on it contemplating.

As a result, Onew and Jonghyun seek understanding of Key’s whole bearing still unsure of gauging the man’s personality – speaking first is Onew…

Onew:             (on confused face looks at Tiffany)
                       Auntie… what could he be thinking…?

Tiffany:            (gently smiles) I guess living here has changed some of
                        his past behaviors that you know of him quite so well.
                        I do not know what is going in his mind right now and
                        given that observation, we just have to wait to what he
                        will have to say…

Taemin:          (puzzled) What do you mean Auntie…?

Tiffany:            Have you not seen some changes in Key’s ways?
                        Well, we still see the usual Key’s ways and manners
                        but so far right now, he is taking in what I had been
                        hoping and happy to see the result
                        – the art of being calm and collected.

Taemin:          (nods) Yes, Auntie I finally realized how different he is
                       right now but still many of the traits of Key that I know
                       are still present but I so agree in some point that the
                       way he acts and shows it - both less forceful and obdurate…  
                       I was honestly surprised by him in the past few days…

Jonghyun:       (sounds edgy) Do you think he will say yes…?

Tiffany:            (points with her lips) hush… He is coming…

Key walks back quietly pull the chair and sits showing no emotions that clearly do not help the growing intense of everyone’s anticipation.
Then Key replies…

“I will…”

Onew and Jonghyun stunned with Key’s response gape looking at each other speechless for few seconds and both stand up extremely in high energy stating at the same time …

“YES…!!”

Tiffany and Taemin move backward jolt due to the loud scream of Onew and Jonghyun.
Tiffany however feels the opposite way so that after the celebratory actions of Onew and Jonghyun, she calls Key’s attention and points her worries and concerns…

“Hon… will you be fine in the process…?”

With Tiffany’s statement, it seems the awhile ago happy mood changes to a more serious atmosphere waiting for Key’s response.

“Mom, Onew and Jonghyun …
(looks at Taemin) by the way Taemin, since you
are here; I am apologizing in advance for what
may happen in the process.
(then back to intently looking alternately at Onew
and Jonghyun eyes then staring at seriously
at Tiffany saying)
Mom… No need to be afraid… this is my calling…
We will have to be prepared for the pros and cons…
enough with this useless hiding drama…
let’s see what happens when the prowler appears…”

“(sighs) Alright Hon... I respect your decision…”

Key grins with his eyebrows up and lips tightly closed nodding while chuckling with a light sound…

“uh..uh..hu…ffpphheww…
(then says) So Hyungs…
Is there a theme to follow or freestyle…?”

“Freestyle…Key-ssi…”
