The Meet and Greet
By Donghae’s Entrance Door

Key inattentively walks beside his Mom leisurely inspecting the surroundings and quite amused to see the
5ft. brick wall partition.
Key stops his Mom stepping on the decorated brick floor and asks while moving his face from side to side…
 

“Mom…
I have a feeling that your neighbor’s place
used to form part of this entire estate
because the way it was partitioned was kind of
like irrational in land structure.
Look, ours is like more than hectares wide
while this one looks like a 20% size less than a hectare...”

“(whines) Honey… be nice...okay…
Donghae and his son, Minho-ssi are very nice people.
Your late Dad took care of them very well…”

“(shrugs off shoulder) hhhmm… whatever…
Key…
(points at his self) just shut your mouth…
next time…watch and observe…”

“(kisses Key’s cheek) Thank you sweetie…
I don’t mind you asking…
It is better than acting uninterested at all…
You are a diva…and stay like that…
It keeps me awake and aware all the time…
ooopppsss… Here we are…
(presses the door bell)”
 

Tiffany and Key wait and the latter gets puzzled when no one comes to the door to greet them…

“Mom, I guess they are not in…”

“(covers her lips) hhhmmm…
(releases) But…
Mr. Kris told me that they are around
and waiting for us… hold on…
let me press it again...
they are just probably at the back
and on their way to welcome us…
if nobody comes then let’s go back…alright…?”

“Okay… fine with me…so we can eat…
(asks what his Mom bring along)
What is that you are bringing…?”

“A gift…Donghae likes chocolates and probably
I assume Minho too…
and some toiletries for them…”

“(asks from her Mom) Let me bring it…
(gets it from Tiffany) so you can talk freely…”

“Thank you hon…
(gasps) Oh… I can hear footstep…”

Minho and his Friends
Inside the Observatory Room

Minho and his friends stop all their cackling noises that filled the entire living area just awhile ago so far suspending it for the sake of the visitors coming.
They all look at each other in anticipation especially Minho’s friends intrigued and curious as to how Key looks like.
Nickhun who could not just maintain his silence asks…

Nickhun:         I hope he is nice…

Mir:                  (smirks) Hyung…
                        he came from a western side of the world;
                        of course, his personality is more like westernized…
                        unlike us…

Eli:                   I agree…
                        I bet; he is frank, stone-faced and not easy to please…

Dongwoon:       I think so too…

Hoya:              (waves his hand to signal silence)
                       Ssshhh…
                       Uncle is now opening the door… be quiet guys…

                       (and looks at Minho) Minho…Minho…
 

Minho’s friends frown when he does not budge when called by Hoya.
And what more astound for them to observe, is when Minho automatically separates from them moving closer to the one-way mirror glass wall deeply awaits for Key to arrive.

Then everyone stops breathing when…

“Hi Donghae…Nice to see you again…
(Tiffany looks around) where are your children…?”
 

Donghae:       (bows) Welcome back Tiffany…
                      (sees Key and gasps) Oh… this must be Key…

Key:                (bows politely) Good afternoon…
                       Mr. Donghae… Am Kim Kibum Key…
                       You may call me Key…
                       (shakes hand) Nice to meet you…
 

Donghae:       (astounded and looks Tiffany so surprised)
                      Tiffany… He is pre…I mean handsome and
                       (trying to find another word for beautiful) …

Key:                (smiles) It is fine Uncle…
                       if it is alright to call you Uncle…
                       I get that all the time… Pretty…Lovely…
                       Beautiful and next is the description
                       you have just stated…

Donghae:       (embarrassed) I apologize…but it is true…
                       you are very good looking…

Tiffany:            (laughs and hands the gifts)
                        Here…as a welcoming present…
                        kindly accept these…
                        your usual favorite like always…

Donghae:        (elated) Chocolates…

Tiffany:            (nods) yeah… and by the way,
                        where are your children.
                        Your eldest, Jessica and next Minho-ssi…

Donghae:       Oh… Jessica is coming after her semester break.
                       She chose to stay in the dormitory
                       to save time and effort…and …
                      (turns his head and speaks louder intentionally)
                      MINHO… He is out with his friends…

Key:                (bows) According to Mr. Kris,
                       Your son and his friends cleaned
                       and beautified our home.
                       Kindly extend our thanks to them.
                       My Mom and I really like it especially
                       what they did at the back…

Tiffany:            (claps) Oh yeah…
                        Perhaps, we can invite you and your kids
                        as well as Minho’s friends to a gathering sometime…
                        if that is alright…
