My Older Sister
Believe It
Yunho's POV
As I sat at my desk and tried to do my work but I couldn't help but keep stealing glances at Sunhee for the past few hours. She isn't talking. It's been hours and she hasn't said a single word to me. I tapped my fingers against my desk impatiently and observed her. Her back was slumped over dejectedly and her head was hung low, her hair covering up most of her face. She barely even moved since she sat down on the couch hours ago, is she even okay over there?
The clock that I had hanging on the wall suddenly dinged loudly, signaling that it was now lunch time. My eyes stayed locked on my intern, waiting for her to do something. When it was lunch time, she usually pops right out of her seat as if she were a pop tart and comes running to me, ready to go to lunch but now, her movements seemed restricted and heavy. I heard her sighing before slowly rising from the leather couch.
She walked towards the door without even sparing me a glance and with a toneless voice said, “I'm going off early today.”
“Wait!” I called out and hurriedly got up after her. “Don't you want to go eat together?”
She looked up at me, her eyes were questioning and almost glowering. “No.” Sunhee curtly answered before setting her hand on the door knob, ready to leave but I quickly grabbed onto her elbow and stopped her.
“Are you mad about what I said to you earlier?” I asked. I wanted to know. If she is mad, I want to know why. I've said some pretty nasty things to her before but she always shrugged them off or snapped back at me with a snarky little comment but this time she was different.
Sunhee stayed silent before sending me a small smile, “I'm not mad. You were right about what you said earlier, completely right. Why would someone like you fall for a girl like me? We're polar opposites.” I shook my head, just now realizing the intensity of my words and my mistake, “I didn't me-”
She quickly stopped me, “I'm meeting up with my brother today and spending the rest of the day with him so you finally have lunch to yourself. You get the alone time that you love so much.”
“I-”
“Later.” She sent a wave before walking off without waiting for any other explanation from me. I watched her walk away with a heavy heart, not having the guts to go after her.
Did I really hurt her feelings? Like I've said before, I've made some mean comments about her but she's never been as affected as she seems now. Should I apologize or just ignore it?

Sunhee's POV
I hopped off the bus and released a big sigh. I thought back to what Yunho had said to me and sighed once more. Throughout the whole bus ride, his words ran through my head like it was on repeat. Yunho's harsh words made me feel like I was being stabbed by a hundred needles. I had some ideas that Yunho didn't like me in a romantic way but I still had some hopes that he would, that he could look past our differences but I guess I was wrong. Things like that only happen in movies and stories.
I decided to try and push my worries aside, forcing a smile on my face so Sehun wouldn't be concern. We were going out to have fun today and I wasn't going to let Yunho get in the way. It was brother and sister fun time and nothing will get in the way.
