Yunho's POV

“Whoa!” Sunhee emitted in disbelief when she walked into my office this morning. She gazed around the room in amazement, “What gift store threw up in your office?”

“Shut up.” I mumbled. “It's from all the stupid girl workers here.” She shoved a few bags off from the leather couch onto the floor and made herself comfortable. “Even if you're a jerk, you still get gifts? That's true talent.” She voiced. “What's the occasion?”

“It's my birthday today.” I answered.

I'm not sure how the workers snuck into my office today and placed all these gifts in here but I suspect that they hunted down a janitor to open it up for them. I walked into my office today and found the place littered with gifts of all sizes and colors.

“No way! It's mine too! ” Sunhee exclaimed and gleefully clapped her hands. “It's weird sharing a birthday with an grumpy ahjussi like you though.”

“Are you doing anything today?” I casually asked without even glancing at her. So I share my birthday with this strange girl? How...lovely.

She shook her head, “Not today. Since my birthday landed on a week day this year and everyone has their own matters to attend to, I won't have a celebration until the weekend.” She got off the couch and skipped forward, now taking a seat in the chair in front of me, “What are you doing, ahjussi?”

“Dinner with my family.” I curtly answered. “Then going out with a few friends.”

“You have friends?” She curiously asked. I shot her a glare, eliciting a laugh from the playful girl. Sunhee set her elbows on the table and let her eyes wander around the room. “What are you going to do with all these gifts?”

“Throw them away.” I replied unconcerned.

“Why?” She asked. “People spent good money and time on them.” I scoffed at her comment, “I didn't ask for them to get it for me.”

“So insensitive.” She muttered. “Can I have one?” I looked away from my work at stared at her, “What?”

“Chocolates.” Sunhee clarified, pointing to a box of fancy chocolate that I know was imported from Europe. “Can I have some chocolate?”

“Go crazy.” I told. She could have everything in this room if she wanted to. Most of these gifts are just to get my approval, it's not like they actually care anyhow.

“Did you get anything from anyone?” I couldn't help but ask.

“A few people.” She answered, popping a chocolate into . “Tell you what ahjussi.” Sunhee started, searching for something to wipe her fingers of melted chocolate. I grabbed my handkerchief and handed it to her, used to her making some sort of mess. “Since it's your birthday today and mine. As your birthday gift, I won't bother you too much today.”

I raised an eyebrow and eyed her through my glasses, not really believing her words, “Really?”

“Too much being the key words here.” She said with a playful smile. “But I'll lay off on the questions today.” She clapped her hands and pointed at me. “Ah! You’re only three years away from being 30 now.” She laughed loudly, “You're so old!”
