First Day
My Teenage Life in KoreaYour POV The plane had just landed in Korea. I walked out of the airport while looking for my aunt. I felt lost after seeing the amount of people in the airport as I had never seen her before. When looking around, a friendly looking woman who was holding a huge board with a few wordings on it caught my eye. “Kathleen Lee” Isn’t that my name? “Annyong haseyo!” (Hello in Korean) I greeted with a slight bow to the woman while walking towards her. “Oh! Are you Kathleen?” The woman asked, opening her eyes wide. “Ne.” (Yes in Korean) I replied her, showing my eye-smile. “Are you Aunt Mary?” “Yes. Wow, you had grown so much. The last time I saw you, you were still a toddler!” Aunt Mary exclaimed. “Come on, lets go home now.” Aunt Mary held my hand and led me to the car. When Aunt Mary was driving home, she started introducing about herself and telling me about the things about Korea. The whole journey actually took more than 2 hour, but it feels like minutes as we were chatting happily during the ride. Outside the house “Alright, this is your home now.” Aunt Mary said to me, pointing towards a bungalow. I was amazed by the house as it was so BEAUTIFUL! Aunt Mary then led me to my room which was at the second floor of the house. “If you need anything, just feel free to call me” Aunt Mary said as she walk out, leaving me alone in the room. I gave her a nod before starting to unpack. Memories started flowing in as I unpack the family photos from my luagage. Time seems to pass so fast. Just a month ao, I was in Singapore, enjoying dinner with my parents. Now, I am living my new life in Korea, without them. Tears started flowing again as memories flood in my head. *Knock Knock* "Come in." I quickly wiped the tears on my face and stood up. Aunt Mary stuck her head in, “Kathleen-ar, I had forgotten to tell you, I had enrolled you in a nearby school called Sapphire Academy. You will be starting school next week. ” “Alright, Aunt Mary.” I replied, trying very hard to prevent my voice from shaking due to the crying. "Rest early, good night." Aunt Mary said with a smile before closing the door. "Good night..." I replied. I lay on the bed, embracing the family photos. I miss you so much... I look at the photos again before drifting into dreamland. ============================================================================= A short update. :P Hope you enjoy! Give me some advice on how to improve my writing! Thank you very much :)
