First Friend
My Teenage Life in Korea
Your POV
“Hey, Kathleen, wanna go eat lunch together?” Sungmin approached me with a cute smile.
Suddenly, I sense a weird aura surrounding me. I looked around me and saw the girls in my class staring at me with hatred.
Great, it’s just the first day of school and I am already getting hated in class?
“Maybe not. I may want to walk around the school.” I smile awkwardly at Sungmin.
“Okay, next time then! Byebye!” Sungmin bid goodbye to me and went out of the class. The girls in the class followed and started to surround Sungmin.
Phew, lucky me.
I went out of the class and started walking around the school.
After strolling for around 15 minutes, I found myself at an isolated area whereby there were almost no students around.
Just I was about to leave, I saw a familiar back sitting on the bench.
The curiosity that kills my cat (Author’s note: heheee, I think it is not used this way. But, just bear with me and my weird thinking) made me walk towards the bench.
To my surprise, I saw Donghae sitting there, reading his book.
He seems engrossed with his books. Perhaps I shouldn’t disturb him. BUT… he sits beside me in the class. Maybe I should try communicating with him to make my life easier in the future?
“Annyeong Donghae!” I broke the silence atmosphere and greeted loudly at him. He jumped up a little and looked at me with shock.
“Oh... Annyeong...” He stuttered.
I sat down beside him and began chatting with him. At first, it was very difficult to keep the conversation going as Donghae is very shy and does not even dare to have eye contact with me. However, after some time, he was able to talk to me comfortably.
Donghae POV
This girl is not as bad as I thought.
At first, when I saw her and Sungmin appearing in class together, I thought she was another typical ‘fan’ of Sungmin who follows Sungmin around the school.
But after chatting with her, I feel that she was different from other girls in the school. Would she be my first friend in school?
