Short Foreword

    Jenny has had a crush on DooJoon ever since the two started high school. DooJoon doesn't really notice her, since they don't hang out with the same group of friends. Kevin starts to go out with Jenny's best friend, Cyndi, and so that's how Jenny and DooJoon became friends. As time passes by, DooJoon starts to develop feelings for Jenny. On the other hand is Tiffany, Jenny's rival. They have been rivals ever since middle school. The two always compete with each other. Take all of this as an example: If Jenny got a 95% on her final, then Tiffany has to have a 98%. If Jenny threw her birthday party at her house, then Tiffany would throw her birthday at a five star hotel. If Jenny was elected as vice president, then Tiffany, by any means, will manage to be president of the school's student council.

"Jenny, where are you?" Cyndi asked over the phone, "Class is about to start. Hurry up, before Ms. Park gives you a detention" she said.

"I know, I know. Hanging up right now" Jenny said as she hung up on her friend.

She was so close to getting to her class.

Oof. She accidentally bumped into someone who was also heading towards that class.

"Mian!" she apologized. She looked up. It was her.

"Are you blind? Watch where you're going!" Tiffany yelled.

"Yah, if I knew it was you, I wouldn't have apologized" Jenny rolled her eyes.

She managed to enter the class before Tiffany.

Cyndi and Kevin were already seated in the back with DooJoon.

He noticed Tiffany walking in. He took his backpack off of the seat next to him.

"Jenny, over here" he pointed to the seat next to him.

"Okay, class, I would like you guys to partner up and work on the assignment that I will be assigning you. It will be due on Monday" Ms. Park announced.

DooJoon looked at Jenny. "Partners?" he asked her.

"Sure" she nodded.

Class ended. School ended.

"Let's meet up at the library so we can work on our assignment" he told her.

"Yeah, let's do that then" she said.

The four were heading towards the school gates to leave.

"Give me your phone" he told her.

"Weh?" she looked at him, confused.

"Just give it to me" he said to her.

She pulled her phone out from her jeans pocket.

"Here" she said as she handed it to him.

He punched in some numbers. His phone started to vibrate. He handed the phone back to Jenny.

"Meet you at the library at 6" he told her.

"Arasso"

Cyndi and Kevin were still being all lovey dovey with each other.

"I love you Kevin" Cyndi said sweetly.

"I love you too, jagiya. Don't miss me too much, arasso?"

"You guys are killing me with your lovey doveyness" Jenny said as she shivered.

Kevin and Cyndi still wouldn't let go of eachother.

"Remember to call me when you get off from work" Cyndi reminded him.

"Uh. Anyong jagiya" he hugged her for the last time, and left wih DooJoon.

She turned to her friend, "Where are you heading off to?" she asked Jenny.

"Restaurant" she said.

"Let's go together" Cyndi said.

5:37 p.m.

"Oppa, I have to go now. I'm meeting up with a friend to work on a major assignment" she explained.

"Uh, remember to call me when you're on your way home" Jaejoong said to her.

"Okay, I'm leaving now" she said as she grabbed her backpack and left the restaurant.

Library

"I'll go get more books" DooJoon said as he got up and headed towards one of the shelves way across from where they were sitting.

Jenny hadn't gotten any proper sleep for these past couple of days because she had to help out at her family's restuarant, along with her brother and his friends, since their parents went to Japan for their 25th anniversary for a week. She had to help her brother out whenever she gets off from school, and don't get back home until 10:30 p.m. But before she could go to sleep, she had to work on her homework assignments, which usually takes her three-four hours, depending on how much homework's assigned that day. And then she has to wake up at 6:30 to get ready for school. 

She yawned. She set the book that she was reading, down.

15 minutes later.

"Jenny-yah, I found a whole bunch of books that can help us with our proje-" DooJoon said, but stopped.

Jenny was already asleep by the time he returned.

He gently set the books down on the table.

He was going to wake her up, but she seemed to be sleeping so soundly, he didn't want to wake her up.

Jenny finally woke up. She saw DooJoon looking at her. She quickly sat up.

"The project" she said as she started to randomly flip the pages of the book that was in front of her.

DooJoon smiled, "Finished it" he told her.

"Jinja?" she asked him.

"Uh" he nodded.

"Mianhae for falling asleep" she apologized.

"It's nothing, we were almost done with it anyway. I just finished a little bit of what we were missing" DooJoon told her.

"Ohh" she didn't know what to say. She still felt bad for falling asleep while working on their project.

He looked at his phone, it was already 9 something.

"Let's go get something to eat" he suggested.

"Ani, it's okay, I'm not hungry anyway" she said.

Her stomach started to growl. She cleared .

"Not hungry you said?" he asked as he started to pack up his books.

"Well, a little?" she looked at him.

The two went to a nearby ddukbokki restaurant.

10:34 p.m.

Jenny's home was nearby, and so DooJoon told her that he would walk her home.

"No, it's okay, I can go by myself" she assured him.

"What kind of guy would I be to let you go by yourself?" he asked her. Rhetorical question.

10:56 p.m.

There was only another block left until they reached her home.

Jaejoong and his friends, Junsu and Yoochun were walking in the opposite direction of the two. He noticed his little sister with DooJoon.

"It's Jenny!" Junsu exclaimed. He was all excited to see her, but soon frowned, "Who's that guy that she's with?" he asked.

Junsu has had a crush on Jenny for a while.

No one answered him. The three headed towards Jenny.

She noticed her brother and his friends.

"Oppa!" she smiled.

"Oppa? Is he her . . ." DooJoon's thoughts trailed off.

"Oh, anyong Yoochun oppa. Anyong Junsu oppa" she greeted them.

"Jenny-yah, done with your assignment?" Jaejoong asked her.

"Uh" she nodded.

"Who's-" her brother tried to ask.

"Ah, this is DooJoon, a friend from school" she told him.

She turned to DooJoon, "This is my brother, Jaejoong, and his friends, Yoochun and Junsu" she introduced them to each other.

"Ne, anyonghasaeyo, it's nice to meet you guys" DooJoon said.

Jaejoong looked at him. "Komawo, for taking my sister home" he said.

"Ne"

Jenny turned to DooJoon. "I'll see you next time in class, bye" she smiled.

"Bye" he said to her.

Jenny linked arms with her brother and headed upstairs to their apartment.

"Jenny-yah, wait for me!" Junsu said as he tried to link arms with her.

"Wtf, Junsu oppa" she said as she ignored him.

DooJoon slowly turned around to leave. He forgot to tell her about the soccer game.

Saturday afternoon

"Cyndi, what time is the soccer game tonight?" Jenny asked her friend.

"It's at 6. Weh?" she was curious.

"I'm going to the game" she said casually.

"Jinja? You've never bothered to go whenever I ask you to go with me. It's because of DooJoon, isn't it"

"I don't know what you're talking about. Anyway, let's go together?" she suggested.

It was only 2 p.m., the two friends decided to go shopping and out to eat.

DooJoon was looking towards the crowd. There wasn't any sign of her. He guessed that she decided to not show up.

Only a few minutes until their game starts.

"Okay, guys, we can do this, we have to beat those snobby, rich kids. 1, 2, 3. Hwaiting!" DooJoon and his friends yelled.

The game finally started.

Jenny and Cyndi headed towards the lower bleachers. The two cheered for their school's team.

5 minute break during the game. . .

DooJoon noticed Jenny standing in the crowd. He smiled.

"She's here" he thought to himself.

"Kevin!" Cyndi tried to get her boyfriend's attention.

"Jagiya, you've just arrived?" he asked her.

"Ani, I got here right when the game started"

The game soon ended, with DooJoon's team winning with a score of 7-4.

"You were great out there, jagiya!" Cyndi said as she hugged Kevin.

"Good game you guys!" DooJoon exclaimed as he high-fived all of his friends.

Jenny was standing near where Cyndi was at. DooJoon walked up to her.

"Hey" he smiled at her.

"Umm, yeah, you were great out there" she told him.

"Let's all go celebrate for our team's victory" DooJoon suggested.

They all decided to go to the restaurant that Kevin worked at.

After dinner-

"Well, I'll take Cyndi home" Kevin said. "Anyong you guys!" the two left, hand in hand.

The other guys have already left. And then there were two.

"I'll take you home"

"Uh" she nodded.

During their walk home, they happened to bump into a drunk guy. (random much?)

He took her hand.

"Ahjussi, watch where you're going!" DooJoon exclaimed.

"Jashik, who do you think you're talking to?" he said. He threw his beer bottle towards where the two were standing.

"Joesonghamnida ahjussi" Jenny bowed.

"Hurry, let's go. I don't want to cause any trouble" she told him.

He was still holding onto her hand.

Jenny finally realized that they DooJoon was still holding onto her hand. She tried to pull her hand away from his grasp.

"Let's stay like this, Jenny-yah" he said as he continued to hold her hand.

She nodded.

And so, that's how they started.


Time has passed by and the two have been going out for about two months now.

After School-

DooJoon was on his way to practice. He happened to see Tiffany walking in the opposite direction. He tried to pass by her.

She grabbed his hand.

"DooJoon-ah" she said.

"What?" he looked at her.

"Yoon DooJoon, if you're trying to get me jealous by going out with Jenny, then you've won"

Jenny and Cyndi were going to surprise their boyfriends by visiting them while they were at soccer practice.

Jenny overheard the two's conversation.

"You know how much I don't like her. You know that she's pretty much my rival. Why would you even use her to make me jealous? Are you trying to kill me?"

"Tiffany, I" he tried to say.

Tiffany hugged him, "I love you DooJoon-ah. Let's get back together"

"Tiffany" he tried to say again.

"Why are you standing here?" Cyndi asked. She was carrying two bags that were filled with snacks. They were going to share it with DooJoon and Kevin, and the team.

She looked at where her friend was looking. She saw Tiffany. She had her arms wrapped around DooJoon.

"You freakin' jerk!" Cyndi exclaimed.

DooJoon turned around, he saw Jenny and Cyndi standing there.

Jenny quickly walked away.

DooJoon ran after her.

"Jenny-yah" he called after her.

He soon caught up to her. He grabbed her hand.

She didn't look back.

"Is it fun to play with someone's feelings?" she asked him.

"It's not what it looks like" he said to her.

"If you still have feelings for Tiffany, you shouldn't have gone out with me" she pulled her hand away from his grasp and left.

Before Cyndi chased after her friend, she looked at DooJoon, "Yoon DooJoon, I can't believe that you would do something like that to Jenny" she said and threw the two grocery bags towards the ground.

"I-" he tried to say, but no one listened to him. They all left, except for Tiffany.

"DooJoon. . " Tiffany said quietly.

"Aish!" he said as he kicked the bag laying nearby.

He tried texting and calling her, but she won't pick up nor reply.-

The next day at school. . .

DooJoon specifically stayed around the school gates, waiting for Jenny.

Jaejoong takes his sister to school.

"What's wrong? You don't look too good" he pointed out.

"It's nothing" she said quietly.

"Did DooJoon do something to make my dongsaeng upset? If so, I will teach him a lesson" Jaejoong said as he made a right turn.

She half smiled, "Komawo oppa"

They finally reached her school.

She saw DooJoon standing near the school gates.

She headed towards where he was at.

"Jenny, please hear me out" he said to her.

She was quiet at first as she stood there.

"Okay, tell me, why were you with her?" she asked him.

He explained every little detail to her, about what happened that day.

"Should I trust you, Yoon DooJoon?" she thought to herself.

"Jenny, I love you. I would never do anything to hurt you"

"DooJoon, it's kind of hard to believe what you're saying. I-" she tried to say, but he interrupted her.

"Believe me, I really love you" he said as he leaned in to kiss her. Their kiss seemed to have lasted for what seems to be forever. He let go of her.

"DooJoon, I-" she tried to say again.

"Jenny, didn't you hear me? Why do you still want to break up?" he

"Yah, if you could stop interrupting me" she gently pushed him.

"Ah, mian" he said.

"I guess, I don't know, if what you're telling me is the truth or not. So, even though, you could be lying to me. .I will be stupid enough, naive enough to believe you..Because I love you, Yoon DooJoon" she said as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Yah! What are you guys doing, standing there? You're going to be late to class!" Kevin yelled.

The two hand in hand, ran towards the school's entrance to catch up with their friends.
