_Chapter 25_

_Aiden’s POV_

It was Friday night and I had finished my studies, all the assignments, and so on; I was bored and lonely home alone. No teasing 2seop couple, parent like Soohoon couple, and no cute and cuddly Elvin couple; and mainly no roommate to talk to….

It was almost midnight when I got my PC out; I put my headset on and turn it on

“Hello Black Star”

“Hello X5; how are you this evening?”

“I am doing just fine; how may I help you this fine day?” I thought about it then said

“Open browser, and search ‘U-Kiss tour’ dated ‘June, 09, 2012’ please”

“One moment please” I walked down and got myself a small snack and came back to my search results.

“Seems like they are making a new song called ‘Te Amo’ which seems pretty cool…” I muttered to myself

“X5 call JJ please”

“Most certainly” and it dialed.

“Adrian!!!” I rolled my eyes

“You will be the reason why I lose my hearing bro…”

“Sorry! It’s been awhile since you last called”

“I know, I’ve been busy; which I didn’t think would happen”

“How?”

“I’m taking summer classes so that way I graduate with Dongho and everyone else I know”

“Speaking of this ‘Dongho’ guy; gotten better since the last call?”

“Much better, he and CC broke up that day after I guess…oh and get this; I played as Belle from beauty and the beast”

“You…played Belle….the princess?” I nodded and he busts up laughing “OH MY GOD!!”

I let him laugh for a while longer then he stopped, “Oh god I hope you got that on camera”

“I think my brother’s boyfriend did…”

“Wait what?” I nodded “Wow, that’s huge”

“Yeah” I lean back in my chair then the doorbell rings, “One moment please, someone is at the door”

I walk down and place my headset around my neck and answered the door to find Hae, Hyuk, Min, Kyu, Wookie, Yesung, and another guy; what was his name again….Kang?.....bangin? Kangin!

“Hey guys what’s up?”

“We came over to stay for the weekend since you’re home alone; that cool with you?”

“Yeah, sure; come on in” I let them in and put my set back on “Hey JJ, I have guests over, can we chat again maybe Sunday?”

“Sure, have fun then!” and the call disconnected,

“Guys give me a minute, need to put this away”

“Okay we’ll be here”

“I’ll make snacks!” Wookie shouted from the kitchen and I hurried up the stairs, turn my PC off after saying goodnight to X5 then quickly change and hurry back down.

“Aiden!” I was tackled into a hug by Sungmin and Hyuk

“Hey you two, long time no see!”

“Oh my god we have missed you!” Min yelled and I chuckled

“I’ve missed you guys too”

We all talked about random things until Donghae suggested ‘Truth or Dare’

Great!

See how excited I am?! Yeah no…

“Okay since you came up with it you go first!” Kyu yelled, I was sitting on the couch so I turned and laid down and listened

“Okay! Aiden truth or dare??”

“Wae me?!” I sighed “Truth!”

“Okay, is it true you hate Hyungsik?”

“Yes, don’t bring him up to me again” I turned and faced the cushions, Hyuk sat at my feet and pulled on my right,

“Aid what’s wrong?”

Can I tell him? Oh god….

“I miss them…”

“Who is ‘them’?”

“My dad, brother, his friends….and Dongho….”

“I see”

“Aiden your turn again!” This time it was Kangin yelling

“Truth!”

“Alright” I hear snickering, “If you are in love with, or like, someone; who is it, why, and for how long?”

 “I don’t have one”

“Lie!” Kyuhyun yelled and I sighed

“Okay! It’s Dongho!”

“Why?”

“I dunno….he’s different….”

“And for how long?” I was thinking about it, how long have I had this crush on him? Wait crush?!

I didn’t notice Eunhyuk and Donghae turning and sitting me up; I thought for a whole then answered “A few days before he got together with Minwoo…”

I heard ‘Ooh~’ and ‘That long?’ when I looked at them they all had the same smirk

“What?”

“Nothing~!” I just pouted,

“Okay I have a truth for you all” they all looked at me and waited “If I wasn’t really who you thought I was would you all just leave me…seeing me in a different way”

“That one is tricky” Kyu says and his imaginary beard,

“Kyu’s right, it is tricky; but I think no matter what we all love you for who you are…” Minnie said and sat beside me after making Hyuk move over

“Yeah, I agree with my Minne” Kyu said and moved over by the couch and laid his head on his lover’s thighs

“You agree with Sungmin hyung on ANYTHING” Donghae said and hugged me around my shoulders, I looked at Hyuk and he seemed okay with it

“No matter what you’ll always be my friend!” Wookie smiled and Yesung nodded

“You will be mine too”

“I hardly know you kid” I jumped when Kangin’s voice came from behind me and he chuckled “But I think you’re good; these guys wouldn’t leave you no matter what” and with that he ruffled my hair

“Plus we’re” Hae pointed to Hyuk and himself “Your parents; we would never leave you, no matter what!” and he gave me a tight hug

“Hey! What does that made me!?” Minnie butted in along with Kyu

“Second parents, Chullie hyung and Hangeul are the aunt and uncle” I began to laugh, a tear or two falling.

I’m glad I have their trust; they are like a second family to me.

We watched movies until everyone began to get sleepy; Min, Kangin, and I decided to put them all to bed.

“Hey, don’t worry about us leaving you; that won’t happen” Sungmin said and kissed the top on my head

“Thank you Hyung” I hugged him before turning around and almost colliding into Kangin,

“The raccoon wants a hug” Min laughed before sleeping next to his boyfriend; I hugged Kangin and he ruffled my hair

“Good night Aiden-ah” I smiled

“Just call me Aiden or Aid; sounds weird with the ‘-ah’ part” he nodded and walked off and turned out the lights before going to his spot.

Right before I walked up the stairs I looked at all their sleeping faces and smiled.

As soon as I stepped in my room I heard my phone ringing, picking it up from the bed I read the flashing letters ‘Appa-Dad’

I answer and ask “Dad?”

“Aiden…so glad you picked up” I heard him say, his voice was quiet; and I could hear clearly in the background. People talking in the background, panicked voices

“Dad what happened?!”

It was now August, the first week of the month; and the last for my summer semester; I bowed to the headmaster and headed out.

I smiled; I passed the semester and will be graduating with everyone else next year, but remembering that my smile faded “Appa…” I whispered, I sat at the nearby park and sighed, holding my head.

­_Flash Back_

“Dad what happened?!” I yelled

“Nothing…”

“Dad I know you’re lying, please tell me” I heard him sigh softly, but spoke again

“I was driving your mother home from a bar since she got drunk and told the man to call me since you weren’t around…” I nodded to no one and began to bite my nails, nervous of what is about to be unfolded, “While driving she was talking about nonsense; I kept driving until your mother took hold of my arms and jerked the wheel…causing us to crash into two other drivers…”

Tears were already forming in my eyes, I continued to listen; I couldn’t believe it

“Hey, don’t cry bud…”

“I-I-I’m not…” I stuttered

“They treated me, so I’m alright for now” I heard no voices, just the continuous beeping from the heart monitor.

“’For now’?” I questioned, it was silent for a while; I could tell he was debating on what to say

“They found a brain tumor…” it was my turn for me to be silent; I bit my lip hard; “They say I’m going into the second stage, but as of right now they cannot treat it…”

“Appa…”

“I refuse to do the surgery….unless you and your brother is here to give me support…”

“Appa that’s selfish of you” I tried to laugh but only one chuckle escaped

“I know; can you promise me to come here? Along with your brother” I smiled, tears running down my cheeks

“I can try…when is the surgery…?”

“In the middle of August…the seconded week”

“I can try…”

“I hope you two can come and see me before you start school again…”

“Okay…please…please stay healthy until I arrive, ne?”

“Of course….I have to go; I’ll call again, soon”

“Okay…please stay safe”

“I will, I love you Aid; little scamp” I laughed softly

“I love you too, papa bear” and the call silently ended.

I had already decided to leave tomorrow morning, Donghae and Eunhyuk are going to accompany me to and from there. I lifted me head and came face to face with Siwon, I wasn’t surprised since this has happened many times “You okay?” he asks and places his hand on my forehead

“Ne…just thinking” he nodded and stood up and helped me up

“Let’s get some ice cream to celebrate” I chuckled and brushed my bangs to the side

“Alright” he carried me on his back and told me to close my eyes, I did so and sighed; every five minutes I’d ask ‘Are we there yet??’

And the same reply ‘No’, ‘No’, ‘Not yet’, ‘No stop asking~’ I laughed at the last line.

All the guys were there, the Eunhae couple sat on either side of me, “Ready for tonight?”

“A little…I hate flying…” I said and the two nodded

“Don’t worry, appa and umma are here for you” Hae smiled, and I chuckled.

After I got home I called Eli but he didn’t answer yet, maybe on a plane…

“Yo what’s up~?! You’ve reached Kim Eli! Sorry I didn’t answer your call, leave a message and I’ll call you back soon! Later!” I chuckled at the voice mail,

“Hey Eli hyung; I’m leaving in a few hours. The Eunhae couple is coming with me so you don’t have to worry about getting to America as soon as possible. Make sure you get some rest; Appa will certainly wait for you. I guess that’s it for now; I’ll call again before or after my flight, love you; bye” I hung up and sighed softly and looked at my suitcase

“Guess I’m all packed…” I whispered to no one and zipped up the case and packed my backpack, when I was done I dialed JJ’s number and he answered on the second ring

“Adrian!” I rolled my eyes

“Hey JJ; listen I’m coming tonight. Did you convince your parents?”

“Yeah! Their cool with it; they are going to go to visit my auntie and uncle so the rooms are open”

“Awesome, so there will be enough room for two couples and the three of us?”

“Yea, is that Dongho guy coming?”

“Not sure, if he does, he does…why?”

“Wondering, okay so I’ll pick you guys up at the airport tomorrow morning!”

“Alright, see you in a few hours”

“Later Aid’s” and we hung up.

I took my stuff down the stairs after hiding all my expensive things and waited for the Eunhae couple, when eleven rolled over the couple came and picked me up and we headed to the airport.

“Attention passengers, flight 11876 Seoul to Washington will be taking off soon, please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for take-off, thank you” My hands tightened on the armrests, I was sitting between the couple; they must have noticed my nervousness. Because they each took one of my hands and gave a light squeeze, “It’s alright Aiden”

“Yeah, this flight will be done and over with soon; why don’t you go ahead and sleep?” I looked at them and nodded; before I did I shut off my IPod and closed my eyes.

I was half awake when I felt the plane take off, my head rolled onto Donghae’s and I heard him chuckle softly and felt his head on mine along with Hyuk leaning his head on my shoulder, I felt myself smile; I feel safe, protected, and loved.

I soon drifted to sleep, thinking of what my father looks like now, what JJ looks; I couldn’t wait to see them both.
