He took a few looks at the picture of your brain, and turned toward you. The look on his face wasn’t amusing. You just looked into his eyes and waited for his answer with all your hope.

Ilwoo held your hand tightly as he stared at the doctor with the same expression you had.

The doctor took his spectacles off as he sat on his chair. “Well… the results aren’t amusing.” He stated. “What do you mean?!?! You mean I-I’m gonna d-d-die?!?!” your eyes started to swell up with tears.

“I didn’t say that! I mean that your tumor has developed over the time. It wasn’t supposed to go like this! But the cycle had sped up. The tumor has developed through other sections of your brain.” He stated. You just buried your face in your palms

“What do you mean? Can you please give us a straight answer?!” Ilwoo shouted as he stood up.

“Yes. She has to go through the surgery sooner. We can’t wait a whole year for this operation. So I’ll set the date of the surgery for 5 months from now.” The doctor replied.

“What about her conditions after the surgery? Will she be alright?” Ilwoo asked with an ocean of hope flowing in his eyes.

“Well that depends on the development of the tumor, but I can say it’s 50/50 either she survives or…” he replied again.

By that you stood up and stormed out of the room. Ilwoo immediately ran after you.

 You ran toward the hospital’s rooftop. You opened the door and went in. you stepped on the edge of the rooftop.
