Graveyard
Heartless MachineGRAVEYARD.
I was getting ugly skin.
You know about this skin.
Goosebumps.
Seriously, it was very cold.
Not only because of the bad weather, I think.
Maybe it's also because of this place.
Graveyards.
They look different in the night.
The far street light shadowed the gravestones.
They were long, long holes.
If you step on them, you might fall into nowhere.
Just like Alice.
Alice fell into a hole too.
But she landed in this nice place.
For me, obviously nicer than this.
"Miss? What are you doing here?"
An old man came closer to my bench.
"Just ... sitting."
The old man stopped right in front of me.
"Aren't you scared? Usually people avoid this place."
"No. Not at all. There's somebody I just wanted to visit."
Liar. Again. Sahee, why are you lying so much?
"Oh." He sat down next to me. "Who are you visiting?"
"A close friend of mine. She was my best friend."
What should I have said? I'm visiting myself.
"Oh. I'm visiting my wife. She passed away long ago."
"I'm sorry."
"Me too."
We didn't say anything.
People can actually meet like this.
Two creepy people meet at a graveyard.
"How did your friend pass away?"
"Car accident. A year ago."
"I think I heard about that."
"Lee Chaeri?"
"Yes, I think that's her name."
I don't know how much time passed.
On graveyards time flies.
Suddenly my phone rang. It was Minah.
"Minah?" I was surprised.
"Sahee. I need to talk to you."
"Why? It's late."
"Where are you?"
I looked to the old man.
Sahee. Don't be a liar.
"I'm at the graveyard."
Short silence. "Stop joking."
"You wanted to know where I am."
"Good. Wait there."
The old man watched me walking around.
On the little paths between the graves.
"Who called?"
"A frie-" I stopped. "Classmate."
Minah really came to the graveyard.
"Why the hell are you here?" she asked.
"Why did you want to tell me something in the middle of the night?"
She realized the old man. "Just ... I think you are planning something."
"What do you mean?"
"Lu Han. He. Is. Mine. Just leave him alone."
"I think he can decide this on his own."
"I just wanted to remind you."
Minah looked around her. "Why are you even here?"
"Just visiting ... a close friend of mine."
"Who?"
I didn't want to tell her.
"Answer me."
"No. Why should I?"
Minah turned around and left.
I spent my night on the graveyard.
The man left soon. He had a home.
I didn't.
