Chapter 53 - Crafty

Star Illusion | ATEEZ Pirate AU

♡ Make sure to warm up your eyeballs cause long chapter ahead. (⊙_⊙)

The fact that Aurora lost her pendant threw me into turmoil. Without it, there’s no way we can reach Wonderland. The island is a mythical place that scarcely any humans ever steps on it. Obviously, it’s not the place that any sailors can stumble on by luck. Since we lost the pendant, I doubt luck ever on our side.

We have been sailing aimlessly for the past few days after the storm. The pirates were stressing out. The devil’s triangle is a burial ground. The longer we stay here, the higher chance we might join the sunken ship at the bottom of the sea. They had no choice but to rely on me, the great seer who made up lie after lie to survive in this cruel world.

“I need time to meditate on the prophecy.”

That was an excuse for me to buy time to recall the plot. Hongjoong was nice enough to let me go. But when it took a long time he started to get impatient. And I knew that my doomsday is coming close.

Hence Yunho is my only life savior. I prayed every night for him to finally pinpoint our current location. However, since that stormy day, thick clouds filled the night sky and mist blind our sight during day time.

The weather was getting worse like I stated in the meeting; storms every single day, either scorching hot or bone chilling temperatures. The crew started to get sick from the unpredictable weather, including me.

“I-I’m freezing.” My teeth shatter together while hugging myself with the red fur coat that Hongjoong lent to me.

Today is unfortunately a freaking cold day. Too bad, the pirates prohibit lighting the fire cause we may end up burning the ship instead. What we do is to huddle together and avoid going to the upper deck to escape the chilly wind.

The kitchen seems to be a good place to hide from the cold because it’s the only area that allows fire. The boys, Aurora, and I are cramped in one table for a breakfast.

“Me too.” Mingi shivers from beside me. He wraps himself in a large brown blanket even though he’s already wearing several black coats inside. The others are also in no different shape, the thick layer of clothes make them look fluffy that I want to suggest a group hug.

My shaky hand lifts up the spoon but it’s too shaky that I spill the liquid on my coat, Hongjoong’s to be exact.

Ah shoot! His favorite coat now has a yellow stain and vegetables on it. But he won’t be angry at me right since I’m his little treasure.

A pale hand gets into my view. I look up to see Aurora passing me a white handkerchief.

“Thanks.” I mumble to her, picking up the cloth and wiping the stain.

She nods and resumes eating. Her lips slightly quiver while she’s sipping her soup. She wears a black coat that I forced Hongjoong to give it to her. She appears like a winter fairy among...fluffy pirates.

“I’ll prepare you a cup of tea.” Yeosang says from the opposite seat, clad in white blanket.

“You’re the best.” I beam at him. He always takes care of my health since the volatile weather started.

“How long this crazy weather will stop.” Sitting beside Yeosang, the boatswain grumbles. This is the first time that I hear Jongho complain about something.

“That giant crushed me in my sleep.” He continues, glaring that the puffy master gunner.

So this is the real reason that bothers the rational boatswain.

“I saw you were shaking up in your sleep so I helped warm you up.” Mingi answers innocently.

“You were freezing, not me.” Jongho corrects the sentence with a clench jaw.

“But isn’t it better than hot days?” Yunho from beside Aurora, chimes in. “Our crew get dehydrated and sweat like crazy.”

Some of us nodded in agreement.

“Nah, I like hot days better cause I could take off my shirt.” This cocky remark only belongs to the first mate. He shamelessly eyes Aurora and me. “The ladies love to see my sculpture body, right?”

Aurora’s lips twist into disgust meanwhile I’m shaken up by the image that is embedded in my head. I swear I didn’t mean to stare at his upper body two days ago.

“Oh, Shooting Star you’re shaking. Let me hug you to warm you up.” Mingi scoops me into a bear hug in front of the whole table.

“Err…” I lose words by his sudden action.

“Ouch!” Mingi yelps when all types of cutlery are thrown his way. But he doesn’t loosen his grip on me.

“Mingi, know your manner. You’re being rude.” Yeosang frowns. Mingi ignores his scold and squeezes me tighter.

“Mingi, I’m fine. I’m not cold anymore.” I told him. My face begins to flare because of sheepishness.

He shakes his head and says in a serious tone. “You might get sick. I’ll share my warmth with you.”

My face twists at the way he speaks.

“You can sacrifice your blanket for her, you know.” Yunho suggests.

“Nope!” Mingi persists, resting his chin on top of my head.

“Woah!” Suddenly Wooyoung yaps loudly, he grips San’s hand that aims a dagger toward Mingi. He forces it out of San’s grasp and then shot a glare at Mingi. “Yahh!! You unruly man, get your hand off little Star if you don’t wanna lose your limbs!”

Mingi scoffs. “You lot are just jealous that I can hug her.” He’s being stubborn while the others radiate murderous intent at him.

“Ackk!” This time the groan belongs to Mingi as he was kicked in the leg by Jongho.

“Enough is enough. Don’t let us repeat for many times.” Jongho calmly speaks although black clouds begin to gather above his head.

Mingi pouts and reluctantly lets me go.

“Why can’t I hug my friend?” Mingi doesn’t stop his antics, causing the others to preach him to act gentlemanly.

I chuckle at their interaction. On the other hand, Aurora watches the scene unfold with unease on her face. Apparently, she’s not comfortable with them yet.  I hope that she'll get along with them soon so she'll realize how lovable they are.

I scan the table and my gaze unintentionally locks with San. He wears a thin layer of cloth as if coldness doesn’t affect him at all. A dagger that was snatched by Wooyoung earlier has returned into his grasp. He plugs it in the wooden table without breaking eye contact with me. Shiver shot through my spine. I slightly shudder in my seat in which Mingi notices it. He plans to hug me again but I shove him away because that dagger might aim at me this time. He pouts while the others snicker at him.

Poor Mingi I’m sorry, but your devil mate has a deadly weapon. Plus, I don’t intend to hurt his feelings further.

Since the day San witnessed me coming out of Hongjoong’s room, he exuded an intense dark aura direct at me. Still, he didn’t approach me but I could feel his presence around me. Sadly, I, a fragile person, couldn’t find the courage to talk to him.

The boys keep on bickering until the other crew start to leave the kitchen because they couldn’t withstand their noise. A moment later, the commotion dies down when a cabin boy calls for our attention.

“Miss Star, Captain requests for you in the quarter room.” Jim asks me politely. The guys all have weird expressions on their faces. At a corner of my eyes, I see San pull the dagger out of the table. And my ears pick on Mingi’s mutter something like captain stole his friend again.

“Okay.” I nod, a little nervous by their reaction. Some are okay with my complicated relationship with Hongjoong, and some clearly aren’t. However, they didn’t mention anything about it as if they are prohibited to speak. It can be either the order from Hongjoong or Seonghwa. Anyhow, it’s good that I don’t have to feel awkward when they mention it.

As I’m preparing to leave, I feel a tug on my sleeve and see Aurora with pleading eyes.

Oh right, I can’t leave her with these wolves.

“Jim, can you please Aurora back to her cabin?”

“Aye, ma’am.”

Aurora gives me a small smile and leaves the room with Jim.

“You really acted like her mom.” Wooyoung crosses his arms, unsatisfied when his eye candy is gone.

“I don’t trust her with you guys.” My answer earns a scoff from him.

“Oh, including me?” Yunho points at himself.

“That depends, puppy.” I quickly skip out of the room before the puppy gets angry.

“Don't call me puppy, Starfish!!” After Yunho shouts, a series of laughter soon follows.

I grimace at my new name. I regret having an embarrassing sleep position. But I guess it was better that he discovered me instead of Hongjoong because who knew what that guy would do.

“Wait Star, I have to talk with captain. I’ll walk with you.” Yeosang runs out of the room. His nose is red like a Rudolph that I want to boop.

“Sure, let’s go.”

---

Yeosang and I walk quietly next to each other. For some reason, the air is awkward between us which never happened before. His expression tells me that something is nagging him.

“Er...do you have something to talk to me about?” I ask Yeosang once we stop in front of the quarter room.

“Nothing.” He says without making eye contact with me. His hand reaches for a door knob but he doesn’t turn it open.

“But actually I have.” He lets go of the doorknob and turns to face me.

“Do you really like Hongjoong?”

His directness caught me off guard. He never brought up my affair with Hongjoong at all. So I have no idea if he’ll be fine or go against it.

“Um, yes, I guess.” I scratch my cheek and subtly peer for his reaction. It’s not easy to admit my feeling in front of Yeosang because right now I can’t even name my relationship with Hongjoong. We have good feelings for each other and that’s it. This is how far our affection can go.

His gaze loops downward upon hearing my answer.

“Well, I don’t know if I should congratulate you guys or what...” Yeosang lifts his head up, smiling. “It’s the first time to see Hongjoong pay attention to something else. It’s good to finally see him find real happiness.”

“Oh,” I have nothing to say because I’ll be the one that destroys his happiness as soon as we reach Wonderland.

“But a pirate king isn’t someone you should associate yourself with. The world we live in is dangerous. We can die any moment. If he really loves you, he should let you go.”

His remark render me speechless.

“Ah, sorry. Who am I to break you guys apart.” He chuckles bitterly.

“Yeosang...” I bite my lower lip. He’s always nice to me and showers me with his kindness. So I have no idea that he is this concerned about my relationship. “I’m grateful that you always taking care of me. But you don’t have to worry about me. I know Hongjoong and I have no future together. I know it but I let myself fall for him. So stupid right?”

Yeosang silently stares at me, then he extends his hands to hold mine.

“No, you’re not. Love isn’t something that you can control. And sometimes you fall for the person that you shouldn’t love.”

“Um, thanks.” Although his hands are icy cold, I can feel his warmth and tenderness comforting me.

However, when he holds my hands for too long an awkwardness returns. I glimpse at his face, he seems lost in thought.

“Yeosang?”

Yeosang blinks when he snaps out of his trance. He inhales deeply and opens his mouth. “I have to tell you something before you go, I-”

“How long are you two gonna confess your love?”

We whip our head toward the source of the sound that cut off Yeosang’s sentence.

The quartermaster in a long black coat stands a few steps away, oozing an intimidating aura. I quickly detach my hands from Yeosang’s grasp.

“Seonghwa, watch what you are saying.” Yeosang narrows his eyes at Seonghwa. This is the first time that I see Yeosang look really scary. The two men glare at each other. It’s hard to say which side will win.

In the end Seonghwa scoffs and walks in between us to open the door.

“The cold definitely makes him grumpier.” I mutter. The devil looks on Yeosang wears off, he sighs and gives me a small smile at my silliness.

“What did you want to say earlier?” I ask.

“Nevermind. I don’t think it matters to you. I was being stupid.” He says and steps inside the room, leaving me outside. I scratch my head in confusion but follow after Yeosang.

I enter the room and spot Hongjoong in a matching red coat sitting on the red velvet couch. As soon as he sees the two intruders, a scowl imprints on his face.

“If I remember correctly, I didn’t invite you two here.” Hongjoong places a wine glass on the table and glances between the quartermaster and the surgeon.

“I need to talk to you about the crew's health.” Yeosang says, situates himself on a couch across from Hongjoong.

On the other hand, Seonghwa doesn’t answer, but goes to a bookshelf. Hongjoong eyes his quartermaster but get no answer so he pays him no mind.

“Fine, make it quick.”

Before Yeosang starts, Hongjoong beckons me to sit with him but I refuse. It’d be uncomfortable to engage in a serious matter. More importantly they may ask me about the prophecy that I can’t provide.

“I can sit there.” I point my chin at the long table.

Once I find myself a seat, the two men indulge in a conversation. After a while a chair across from me slides against the floor and a figure settles down.

Seonghwa leans against the chair, a dark gaze fixates on me. I raise my eyebrows at him and avert my gaze elsewhere when he bores me with that creepy look.

“You’re a fool.”

“Excuse me.” I whip my head to see him. A snarky smirk displays on his face. This guy doesn’t let an opportunity to diss me slip pass.

“Yes, I was a fool for trusting you.” Seeing how he acts, he doesn’t look a tad bit sorry for revealing my plan.

“Your brother never told you not to trust pirates? Ah, I forgot you lost your memory.” He chuckles evilly which I think he’d be a better villain than Chris.

I chew on my lip to calm my nerves.

“Aren’t you supposed to have a meeting with them?” I try to shoo him away.

“No.” He answered shortly.

The conversation ends but awkwardness fills the air. I shift uncomfortably under his heated gaze. I pay my attention to the two people from the other side of the room, hoping that they’ll finish discussing soon and rescue me from the grim reaper.

“When you’re gone, what will happen to the people who are bewitched by you.” With a hint of venom in his tone, he coldly peers at Hongjoong and Yeosang. Then he cranes his neck to give me a nerve wrecking smirk.

“For fork’s sake, stop accusing me, will you? If I could bewitch someone, you were the first person on my list.” I swear if he brought that up again I’ll spread fake rumors about him being my puppet as revenge.

His smirk is quickly replaced by a scowl. “You were fooling them by your false love prediction. And look at them, they act like a lovesick fool.”

Oops, he remembered. That was so embarrassing. How did I gain such courage at that time? Anyway, I don’t see any of them act like a fool. He is overexaggerated.

Oh wait, did he think that they like me because of my prophecy?

“That wasn’t my intention. I just wanted to guide them, including you to happiness. But I guess it didn’t go well...” I lower my voice once Seonghwa literally glowers at me.

“Do they look happy to you? If you don’t stop playing with their hearts, I’ll personally tie you to a cannonball and throw you overboard. Those guys won't be able to find your body again. Mark my words.”

“You evil.” I sink in my own seat in fear. I believe he’d do what he said.

“Do you want to have a real taste of my evilness?” Seonghwa smirks and rises to his feet, heading toward me.

Startle by his action, I instantly dash toward Hongjoong direction and plop next to him on the couch. Hongjoong and Yeosang give me curious glances.

“Did he hurt you?” Yeosang frowns at the dark expression Seonghwa standing far away.

“No, but I don’t want his evilness to tarnish me.” I say loud enough for him to hear.

Both of them chuckled. Seonghwa scoffs and stomps outside the room. Hongjoong and Yeosang look at me for an explanation but I can only shrug.

Then both men resume their discussion. I can’t help but stare at Yeosang. He wouldn't like me that way right? He’s too good, too otherworldly to like me. Seonghwa just messed with my head.

After Yeosang finished talking with Hongjoong, he bid me goodbye with a soft smile.

Hongjoong stares at Yeosang’s back until he leaves the room and averts his gaze to me.

“What?” I ask him when he’s being strangely silent. “If you summon me to ask about the prophecy then sorry I don’t have the answer yet.”

Hongjoong’s mouth curves upward and shakes his head.

“Then why are you asking for me?” I ask him. After we made up days ago, he and I are no longer on a bad term. He had been requesting to see me whenever he had free time, and we became closer. I saw a new light on him. He has another side apart from being cocky and dominating.

“Do I need a reason to see you?” He asks me back.

“You should give me a valid reason, cause I’m a busy woman. My time is valuable.”

“Hmm,” Hongjoong touch his chin, thinking. “Because I’m cold.”

“How am I going to help you with that?” I snort. However, I realize that he has other intentions as his hands sneakily circle around my waist.

“You’re unbelievable.”

“Aye, many people told me that.” He says.

When I said that there’s another side of him, I meant this cocky side of him still plays a significant role.

He leans closer but I use my hand to cover my mouth.

He pouts, “I'm still not good enough to earn your kiss?”

“In your dream.” I look the other way to avoid his gleaming orbs and hide my smile. He always acts like this but never forces me to kiss him.

“I dream about you every night.” He says suggestively. I have to shove him away but his arms tightly hug me.

“Let me stay like this. I told you I’m cold.” He snuggles his face to the crook of my neck.

My body turns rigid when his hot breath tickles my neck.

“Star.” After a short moment, Hongjoong calls me.

“What?”

“Why do you smell like soup?”

“Uh,” Do I have to confess now that I stained his favorite coat.

“You plan to leave and gift me a smelly coat. How evil of you.”

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Luckily, he doesn’t scold me. Instead he cups my cheeks to face him.

“What have you done to me?” He whispers while staring right into my eyes.

“Maybe because I really bewitched you.”

“I start to doubt that you did that.” Hongjoong chuckles slightly.

After that we spend a long time talking or in other word bickering at each other. And all those times, he kept hugging me. I didn’t admit that I liked it but he probably knew because I blush the whole time.

“I think you should leave. I shouldn’t take away precious time from the great seeress.” A sad glint flashes across his eyes. He has another meeting with his crew.

My face falters when I see his expression. He’s a cruel pirate king but he’s not afraid to show me his emotion.

“Don’t give me that look, or else I’ll change my mind.” Although he intends to say in a playful tone, his gloominess can’t be hidden.

He made me feel guilty again. I notice how he tried to avoid mentioning about my departure which I’m thankful for. Anyhow, I wonder why a persistent person like him gives up so fast.

“Close your eyes.” I tell him. He raises his brow but does as I said.

Once I make sure that he has his eyes shut, I lean forward and peck him on a cheek. I quickly bolt outside a room and hear him shout after me.

“Next time it should be on the lips!”

I shut the door, placing my hand on my erratic heartbeat. I begin to be so shameless the longer I stay here.

A grin falters from my lips when I spot a figure leaning against the wall in the corridor. He cranes his neck to meet my eyes.

How long has he been here? And why is he always there whenever I leave Hongjoong’s quarter?

The chilliness from the weather and his icy gaze make me shudder again. I carefully step toward him.

“San. Can we talk?” This is the best time to clear things up with him. He shouldn't witness my alone time with Hongjoong and makes me feel guiltier.

As if he expected me to say that, he led me along the corridor and stopped in front of an empty room. As soon as I step inside the room, he corners me until my back presses against the wall.

“What did he say to you?” Surprisingly San is the one to start the conversation.

“Nothing important.” Yeah, I don’t think he wants to know that Hongjoong smelled soup from me.

He remains silent. I guess that wasn’t the answer he was looking for.

A second pass into minutes, San bore his eyes into mine. The atmosphere is so nerve wrecking that I give up.

“He didn’t say anything about my departure. He didn’t force me to stay either. He even looked sad…” My sentence trailed off once I recall his gloomy expression.

“Look, I’m terribly sorry. I didn’t mean to lead you in a wrong way.” I look at him deep in the eyes. Those black orbs don’t waver and his expression remains emotionless.

I take a deep breath to say what is on my mind. “When I said I like you, I meant I like you as a f-” My sentence cut short when he places a finger on my lips.

“I know, you never like me.” A hoarse whisper left his lips. It was so quiet that I couldn’t fathom his emotion.

His revelation makes me blink multiple times. So he also knew about that and acted like I cheated on him. This man is so crafty, that’s why he can be friends with Wooyoung.

He doesn't utter anything next, only lifts his hand to gently caress my cheek.

“I...”I press my lips into a thin line. “I don’t want you to get hurt. You’re so important to me even though I can’t reciprocate my feeling to you.”

He retreats his hand and steps backward. He stands so still that I start to worry.

“It doesn't matter that I like him. In the end I have to leave. I can’t be with Hongjoong nor you.” My response causes him to look downward. The black and a streak of red fringe hide half of his face.

“San?”

Then I watch as his body starts to shake. I panic. Is he cold? Oh no, is he crying? No way! the devil is crying because of me.

I instantly step forward and engulf him into a hug. I pat his back softly, but his body doesn’t stop shaking. I hug him tighter, whispering how sorry I am.

After a short while, I begin to feel weird because instead of a sobbing sound, I hear low chuckles. His arms wrap around me, pressing my body harder against him.

“What’s wrong?” I ask when his chuckles turn into an evil laughter.

“Did he do this?” He whispers into my ear. I can’t help but feel goosebumps rising from head to toe.

“Did what?” I ask warily. He’s acting strange. Does he lose his mind?

“He saw through you. Your strength, your weakness, your hesitation, everything is under his control.”

“Stop, you’re confusing me.” I wriggle in his embrace to let me go. I was so stupid thinking that he’d cry, a character like him never once reveal his weakness to anyone.

“Do you know what the pirate king is famous for?” He pulls away to stare at me. Smirk stretches across his face.

“Scheming.”

My mouth turns dry. I shake my head in refusal. Hongjoong wouldn’t do that. He appeared sincere to me though.

“He never intended to let you go from the start.” He shortens the distance of our lips.

“And so do I.”

---

“Arghhhhh!!!” I scream while hitting the rail furiously. Those men are the death of me.

“Remind me again. Why are you invading my station?” The purple haired first mate quirks his brow. He leans against the mainmast, crossing his arm while giving me judging eyes.

“I need to think about serious matters.”

“Does that have to be on the crow’s nest?”

I offer him a sheepish smile. The other places don't allow me to scream to vent out my frustration.

This afternoon the weather surprisingly went back to normal. I was stressed out by the encounter with San so my adrenaline pushed me to climb onto the crow's nest.

“What with the long face? Shouldn’t you be happy that my mates like you?” Wooyoung asks, attempting to poke my cheek but I brush his hand away.

I don’t answer him but grimace at the questions. Because I just lost my third kiss to his close mate. San, being a devil he is, tricked me into thinking that he cried. I even hugged him and apologized multiple times. But what he gave me in return was a fierce kiss and a doubt toward Hongjoong. He increased my suspicion of why Hongjoong let me go so easily. If what San said was true then I must look like a fool in their eyes. These men are so crafty, I don't follow their games at all.

“Can I believe any of them?” I groan, rubbing my temples. My love life is so messy. It was fun to read multiples guys go after y/n but once I got into her shoes, I couldn't deal with it.

“You can’t trust any of them. But you can trust that they love you.” Wooyoung answer my rhetoric question

I eye Wooyoung for saying such smart words that don't sound like him.

“What?” He quirks his brow.

“What if they only attract to me cause I have special power and maybe a little pretty. What if they’ll get bored of me one day.”

“Girls and their overthinking.” Wooyoung sighs.

“Hey, I’m serious.” I nudge him in the arm.

“So what the point of their real feelings, you’ll leave anyway.”

He's right. But it nags me. I want to leave this realm without any regret.

“It’s complicated. How about you? If you find someone you love and that person has to leave because of a matter of life and death, what will you do?”

He stares at me for a long time before responding, “I won’t let her go either.”

“Nooo, why are you all the same?” I tug my hair and bang my head against the mast.

“Because you don’t love any of them so you decide to leave.” His voice hardens. I stop my ridiculous action to stare at him

“If you claim to love someone then you wouldn't let them go. Do you really love captain? Ask yourself that question. You’re hell bent to leave then you don’t deserve any of my crewmates’ love.” Wooyoung breathes heavily as if he's angry. He looks at the sea below instead of me.

“You’re mad.” It’s rare to see Wooyoung being worked up. Does my issue trigger him this bad?

“Hell no.” He scoffs, yet refuses to look at me.

“Maybe you’re right. I don’t deserve their love.” I sulk and heave a long sigh.

Wooyoung turns to me and shakes his head. "You're making things complicated. I don't know the real reason for you to leave. But if I were you I wouldn't get attached and get into nasty situation."

I open my mouth to retort but he clamps my mouth with his warm hand.

"Stop. I don’t wanna hear about your stupid love life and your stupid decision."

My eyes wide open as he disses me. Why many people call me stupid today?

“You should get down, the storm is coming.”

My eyes follow Wooyoung’s sight.

Massive black clouds floating in our direction although a minute ago the sky was still spotless. Harsh wind blows from the horizon, making my hair fly all over my face. Raging waves clash against the hull, causing the ship to rock according to its motion.

Wooyoung helps me balance on my feet as I cling to the rail and carefully step on the rope. The shroud is fluttered violently by the wind so I have a hard time climbing down.

Wooyoung shouts to warn his crew and begins to climb down after me.

To my bad luck, the rain immediately poured down while I stuck in the middle of the shroud.

“Star, be careful!!” Wooyoung shouts through the heavy rain.

The rainwater get into my eyes. With a blurred vision, I slowly take a step and curse myself. I should know better that the weather in the devil’s triangle is volatile. I shouldn’t have gone up there in the first place.

At that moment, my foot accidentally misses the rope. My slippy hands can’t hold onto the rope. Panic rise through me but it’s too late. My body helplessly plunges into the raging water below. Within a flash, the sea swallows me whole.

Freezing cold water enters my nose and mouth, making my lungs and throat burn. My body turns numb from the panic and the fury wave that keeps crashing against me. My weak limbs struggle to swim upward as the water keeps pushing me down. My heart thumps painfully hard in my chest. All I can hear is my own heartbeat sounds echoing loudly.

But eventually all my senses begin to fade away.

I guess this is the end. I feel myself sink into a dark abyss.

My hazy conscience can’t help but wonder if I die, will I transmigrate back to my real world? Even in this moment, I don’t know whether I should be happy or not.

Before I lose consciousness, in the darkness I see a shadow. Its glowing green eyes stare right at me.

I seriously didn't expect this hahahhahaha but it's a good alternative! We always love a tsundere!

But when she was under his bed? It was at that time when she was hiding from Hongjoong right? I think I need to reread that part I kinda forget half of it's context now.

Chapter 87: Okayyy I like that you have an alternate ending for each candidates but honestly speaking I accepted her with Hongjoong hahahahahha because it's kinda weird to read she ended with someone else when the whole story has hinted she fell hard for Hongjoong XD but oh well it's for good cause! We're just missing San's ending but it doesn't matter I guess heheh

Anyways as a reader (you should know I'm an avid reader and been here since 10 years ago like wtf that was so long!) I love your story so much! Instead of being a female lead in pirateau of some idol groups your OC is a reader of that story and was transmigrated into it as a side character to watch Y/N and the idol LMAO I found that so creative! I mean that totally scream Extraordinary You but a mix of Scarlet Heart, W:Two Worlds and Romance of Tiger and Rose which! All is my favorite drama so I had a good time reminiscing some scenes XD also your writing style is good! I loveeeeee the humor! I had a good laugh! Though grammar is bit unstable but it's still good! I love Star's character! Keep writing! Thanks for your story!

P.S. I'm sorry for spamming your notifications! T.T

Chapter 85: Well I'm not really a HongjoongxStar shipper but I'm happy for them! At least a happy ending for all! It's beautiful! And I love the fact that she can escape her ty reality and go to some magical realm with good looking idols as pirates instead of face it head on meh I'm jealous! Should I drop some water on my laptop to get the same effect?? I should right but maybe not on Ateez story I should find some NCT au or Enhypen au yeah I should be happier :')

Chapter 84: I think she chose Hongjoong! They are clearly a thing back then and she tries her hardest best to keep San as a friend and Yeosang as a companion of some sort HAH but never really resist Hongjoong even though she said they better be friends only! HAH! Hongjoong is your bias right Seakeeper-nim!! Nooo you're not Seakeeper LOL cough SerenitySky-nim!

I might be wrong but a reader can overreact right XD
