People were scrambling around the lobby in preparation for their boss’s arrival. It was just an hour ago when an announcement was made, WongShen’s big boss, slash, also one of the most powerful women in Asia was dropping by to visit their Korean branch.

And they weren’t used to having the top guns visit them.

The staff arranged themselves as a Rolls Royce Phantom appeared on the curb, a young male slid down from the front seat to open the door.

And then she appeared, WongShen’s eldest child and the current VP of the whole empire, Alessandra Wong.

“Unbelievable, she’s not human.”

“She’s so…beautiful.”

Alessa slid down from the car, her usual stoic face frightened even the higher ups of WongShen Korea but they greeted her anyway.

“Vice president, we didn’t know you were coming. I hope your flight went well.”

She nodded back and shook their hands properly.

“Would you like some tea before heading up~”

“No, I’ll be going up.” Her perfect unaccented Korean stunned the men, but they all bowed in response.

“The top floor.” She said to her secretary as they got in the elevator.

“Yes, vice president.” He replied as he pressed the button on the wall, the male paused and looked up. Alessandra followed his gaze, the three higher ups were standing outside the machine, not moving.

“Aren’t you getting in?” She spoke again, the three blinked at each other.

“Please, get inside. Quickly.” The secretary urged them, Alessandra exhaled and shook her head to herself.

Chanyeol was swiveling his chair back and forth as the meeting went on. Lotte had a lot of things planned for the second quarter and it half delighted the young executive. Well, it meant that business was doing well because they were busy, but they were busy, that’s why he’s a little sour about it.

“Do you have anything to add, vice chairman?”

All eyes were on him, even his father was expecting for his reply.

“I have doubts regarding the Shinsegae event, however,” He pointed towards the screen.

“I will give it a green light if your marketing team can hand in a back up plan by tomorrow.” He said, there was an approving murmur from the room.

“And, regarding the cultural center, vice chairman,”

Chanyeol looked up from his desk.

“The meeting has been pushed forward, it’s in two weeks.”

“Good, I have yet to finish reading the file on that, then, is the meeting over, chairman?” He looked at his father, the elder nodded and stood up.

Chanyeol exhaled as he exited the room, he stretched his arms slightly.

“Are you meeting your friends today?”

“No, Jaehyun asked me if I could join him today. Basketball.” Chanyeol said as his father walked with him.

“Right, he’s graduating soon, your cousin will be joining you here then.”

“Finally, I can take a break by then.” Chanyeol chuckled to himself, his father’s eyes narrowed at him.

“I’ll see you later, abeoji.” Chanyeol mused before going to his office.

Jaehyun was panting as he leaned his back on the bleacher, his older cousin and friend were chatting as they walked towards him.

“Here,” Lucas said as he tossed the bottle of Pocari Sweat to him.

“It was a good game, I’m glad you had time today, hyung.” Jaehyun said as Chanyeol plopped down beside him.

“Yeah, but we still need to get fitted for our suits. Suho hyung’s wedding is in two weeks. Your mother was complaining that you haven’t been dropping by.” Chanyeol said to him.

“Jaehyun hyung loves his dorm too much, hyung. He’s weird.” Lucas commented before taking a long sip from his lemon flavored drink.

“Right? You? Is that okay now?” Chanyeol gestured towards the purple mark on his cheek.

“That bruise was all over the news.” Jaehyun chortled, Lucas rolled his eyes.

“It’s healing, hyung.”

“Well, it has to heal fast. Your sister’s in town.” Jaehyun joked, Chanyeol paused.

“You have a sister?” He asked Lucas.

“She’s really pretty too.” Jaehyun chimed in, Lucas shuddered.

“Yes, my noona’s back in town and I’m on a short~”

A familiar Rolls Royce rolled just beside the basketball court and it honked twice.

“I’m on a short leash.” Lucas finished, Chanyeol and Jaehyun looked at the car, impressed.

“I have to go, she put a curfew on me.” Lucas said apologetically as he stood up.

“Sure, see you tomorrow.” Jaehyun nodded at him, Chanyeol grinned and bumped fists with the younger male.

“Good game, Lucas.” Chanyeol said as the male jogged towards the girl, not noticing the girls who were trying to gain his attention as he passed by.

“What does Lucas’s family do again?” Chanyeol asked his younger again.

“They own a company in Shanghai, that’s all I know.”

“Oh, well~”

“And his sister is a literal goddess, hyung.”

“Stop it.” Chanyeol shook his head at the younger male, Jaehyun chuckled.

“She might actually be your type.”

“Does this make any sense?”

Lucas flinched as soon as he got in the car, his sister’s secretary gave him an unsure smile before jutting his lip towards Alessa.

“I was just there, how is it that the one assigned to oversee that main operations is on indefinite leave? He didn’t have a replacement during his absence!” She said in an annoyed tone.

Lucas grinned and leaned back on his seat, he nudged his sister’s foot, which earned him a glare.

“I know, he’s about to retire. But, how could he do this? He left the company to a bunch of buffoons who don’t even know how to communicate properly!” She barked.

There was a soft murmur from other end, Lucas knew she was speaking to someone from their Shanghai branch or the one in Beijing.

“What did I do? I fired him. Why are we still keeping someone like that man? Incompetency is never a trait I value.”

Alessa exhaled as the person from the other line explained.

“I don’t care if he signed the contract, pay him then. I’ll be taking over his role for now.” She said before putting her phone down, her eyes went to her sibling.

“Why are you so sweaty?” She switched to Korean, Lucas chuckled.

“I was playing an actual contact sport. How was your day, jie?”

“I was at the office; it was a mess. Should we grab dinner?” She replied before gesturing for Lucas to wipe the sweat off his forehead.

“That’s cool.”

“And, about this,” She took out a folder from her Hermes purse, Lucas sighed at the sight of the WongShen logo on the file.

“It seems like we’ll be working on a cultural center here, WongShen has a partnership project with a Korean company.”

“Whoa, now you discuss new projects right after firing our Korean branch’s managing director?” Lucas closed the folder, not wanting to read anything relating to work.

“Someone has to get things done, Yukhei.” She said as she set aside the folder, she knew how her brother didn’t really want to get involved with WongShen yet. And she respected that.

“What do you feel like having, di?” She asked him, Lucas grinned.

“Meat. Let’s grill some meat.” He beamed at her, one of his sister’s rare smiles appeared.

“Well, meat it is then. And while you’re grilling the meat,” She started, the chauffeur and driver looked up from their seats briefly.

“Explain to me why you got in a fight because of a girl.”

Lucas halted, his eyes grew wide and he stared at his sibling.

“What? You think I would never know?” She shrugged at him before crossing her legs.

“Jie, that was~”

“I know you too well, Wong Yukhei. And honestly, I have no words.”

“Well, jie, I was~”

“Bring her home. I want to meet her.”
