Crush

Ahee chewed on her lower lip as she stood by her department’s booth, she was helping the other sophomores man their store. She glanced to her left as she noticed some students crowd over something. She saw how some male students were excited as they rushed the crowd.

“Did you hear?” One of her friends, Younghee approached her.

“What?”

“That legendary beauty of our school, she’s here.”

“Legendary beauty? Who?” She said as she helped the other girl clean tables.

“Lucas’s sister, how could you not know?” Younghee chuckled, Ahee balked.

“S—She’s here?”

“Yeah, that’s why people are going crazy over there.” She jutted her lips towards the growing crowd.

“Th—Then, I’ll~” She looked up and saw Lucas walking towards someone, Ahee followed his gaze and she puffed cheeks.

There she was. The Alessandra Wong. She really did stand out, dressed in a pair of well fitted slacks and a high-collared white blouse, her hair was in a neat ponytail that showcased her pointed nose and the perfect shape of her lips.

Ahee swallowed as Lucas started to lead his sister towards their booth, Younghee gave her a thumbs up before stepping away.

“It’s still a surprise you’re here, jie.” Lucas was chuckling as they reached her.

“I had some time after the meeting, are you eating here?” She asked him, then her eyes went to Ahee.

The young lady tensed on her spot, her stomach tightened.

“I believe you’ve already met her, jie. Ahee this is my sister, Alessa noona. Jie, this is Ahee.” Lucas introduced them, Alessa’s brows rose up briefly.

“I—It’s nice to finally me—meet you, u—unnie.” Ahee heard herself stutter, Alessa nodded and took her offered hand.

“Same here. Are you going to take our orders?” She asked as she sat down.

“Yes, w—what would you l—like to eat?”

Lucas grinned at her and gave her hand a small squeeze.

“As long as it doesn’t have fruit. I’m good, nothing too spicy and I’d like it if~”

“What jie means is, a mildly spiced serving of rice cakes and no fruit juice. A diet cola will do.” Lucas explained quickly, Ahee looked at the girl.

Alessa just leaned back on her chair and crossed her arms.

Sure. Thanks, bro.

Chanyeol’s brows rose in amusement and he chuckled softly.

“How cute.” He mused to himself before putting his phone back in his coat pocket. He stepped out of the elevator as soon as the doors slid open.

“Vice chairman, miss Gong left a message earlier.”

He paused and faced the male.

“Reall? Why?”

“She asked when were you free? President Gong and his wife would like you to join them for dinner some time.”

Chanyeol paused, he chewed on his lower lip before replying.

“Am I busy this week?”

“Well, not really, sir.”

“But, if you want to decline, I can just make up something and~”

“Don’t.” He shook his head at him.

“I’ll call her later.” He said with finality before walking away from the male, the secretary was about to head back when Chanyeol paused.

“I have another thing I need you to check.”

“What is it, vice chairman?”

“About…Alessandra, I don’t~ Nevermind.”

“Are you talking about the sweets you wanted to send her? They’ve already been~”

“I know. It’s nothing. Go ahead.” Chanyeol dismissed him before walking towards the revolving doors, his secretary blinked in confusion.

“So, does he want to talk about her or not?” He murmured before getting inside the elevator, he heard the loud engine of his boss’s motorbike before the doors closed before him.

Alessa popped another rice cake into .

How could I do that?

Sure. Thanks, Bro?

She exhaled and pushed the plate of food away from her, Lucas looked at her questioningly.

“Is it not to your liking?” Lucas asked her, Ahee bit her lip as she approached the siblings. Lucas smiled as he pulled a seat for her.

“No, it’s fine. It was just a little hectic today.”

“Isn’t everyday hectic for you?” He asked as he started to eat, Ahee chewed on the insides of her cheeks as she joined the siblings.

“Anyway, I only came here because of this.” She said as she took out an item from her purse.

“I thought we have plans for dinner.” Lucas said, Alessa shook her head.

“I still have a follow up meeting for the contract signing with Lotte tomorrow.” She replied, Lucas grinned at her.

“Oh, with Chanyeol hyung?” He spoke in a teasing tone, Alessa glared at him.

“Obviously, here, you spoiled brat.” She placed the car key fob on the table, Ahee blinked at her.

“Pa said that I shouldn’t let you drive your sports cars around. And I’m sick of having to pick you up frpm school, so, that.” She pointed towards the fob.

“I thought he wouldn’t let me drive…” Lucas was confused.

“He said sports cars. That’s a Rover.” She shrugged, Ahee scratched the back of her head.

“This kind of logic has kept WongShen very successful~”

“Now’s not the time to judge my logic, try not cause any more trouble, Wong Yukhei.“ She pointed out, Lucas beamed at his sibling before opening his arms to her.

“No. No hugs.” Alessa raised one finger at him before standing up.

“Thank you, jie. You’re the best.” Lucas said as he stood up, Ahee followed suit.

“I have to head back to the office, I parked it nearby this building. Look for it later, and,” Her eyes went to Ahee.

The girl swallowed and chewed on her lower lip.

“You should come over for dinner some time, I’d like to chat more, but I’m a little short on time, so, please keep him out of trouble.” She said lightly before leaving the booth, Lucas chuckled and looked at her.

“See? It wasn’t that bad.”

“She’s…intimidating, you know that, right?” Ahee slumped down on the chair, Lucas chuckled and shook his head.

Chanyeol flexed his neck as he made his way towards the restaurant, he had called Seolah earlier. They agreed to meet over for dinner, just the two of them.

He didn’t even know why he asked her to come out, but he wanted to talk to her before meeting the girl’s parents again.

He could sense it; the elders were asking them to decided on a date. And if wanted to speak honestly, he didn’t like being pressured. He also had no intention of setting the date any time soon. He thought he would be okay with an arranged marriage, but after what Seolah did, now he wasn’t so sure about anything at all.

He was about to approach the restaurant’s door when he heard a familiar voice.

“I know, it’s tomorrow. I already put in my schedule.”

Chanyeol glanced behind him, it was Alessa speaking on the phone. She was carrying a bag of what looked like take out with her as she walked.

“Yeah, I have Lotte tomorrow and, I have to call the president for an update. Also, can you please arrange~” She paused when she noticed him.

Chanyeol blinked and looked away, it took him a while to realize that he was staring. He walked towards the girl with a friendly smile.

Alessandra put her phone away to greet him.

“Thank you, I enjoyed the fruit tarts.” She said softly, Chanyeol nodded.

“Are you out for dinner? Or are you eating at home?” He gestured towards the bag she was holding onto.

“I’m actually on my way home, y—you?”

Chanyeol paused, he glanced at the restaurant behind him. Alessandra looked around them, before she could speak the male turned to her.

“Then, do you have room for one more?” He asked her, Alessandra blinked at him, confused.

“One more?”

“That. Can you feed one more person?” He was smiling at her. Alessandra’s forehead creased as she looked at him.

“I know a place, come with me.” Chanyeol chuckled before taking the bag from her.

What place?

Why would I go with you, stranger?

“Don’t worry, I’ll buy my own food when we get there.” He chuckled before taking hold of her wrist and started to pull the girl with him.

“I’m not exactly worried about that, but are you trying to hide from someone?”

Chanyeol stopped and looked at her, his forehead creased briefly.

“Do you want to know who?” He replied, Alessa shook her head at him.

“Then, is dinner with me okay?” He blurted out, instantly regretting it right after. But Alessa seemed amused, she chuckled slightly.

He blinked at her, it was probably the first time he heard her laugh.

“Treat it as if I’m returning a favor for helping me out the other day.” She said coolly before gently shaking his hold of her.

“But we’re taking my car, you probably took your motorbike.” She said to him as she pointed towards her Rolls Royce across the street.

Chanyeol stretched his palm towards her, Alessa took a step back.

“I’m not going to take your hand again.” She blinked at him, he laughed.

“Car key. At least let me drive.

Alessandra Wong says.

You idiot.

“Ah.” She handed her key to him, and then they crossed the street together.
