“Y—You wanted…to eat ramen? Instant ramen?” Alessa was stunned when they reached the minimart, Chanyeol beamed at her as he killed the car’s engine.

“You know; we could have just ordered that at the~”

“Come on, Wong. Don’t be such a spoilsport.” He rolled his eyes at her before sliding down the car.

“W—Wong?” She balked before sliding down the car, Chanyeol was so excited that he literally hopped towards the sliding doors. Alessa sighed and followed him. Chanyeol kept the door open for her as his eyes scanned the display.

“Do you feel like having anything?”

“Why? Are you treating?” She asked dryly, Chanyeol chuckled and pulled her towards the snack section. Alessa shook her head and just let the male pull her along, her eyes went to his fingers clasped around her wrist.

Her forehead creased briefly but she looked at Chanyeol as he faced her.

“Get anything you want, I’m a big spender.” He said jokingly before going towards the instant noodles section.

“Sure, let’s go all out.” She muttered to herself as she picked up a bag of dried mangoes, she glanced around her furtively.

I am so ed if we get photographed again.

Since when did I become this approachable to him?

I’m Alessandra Wong, for god’s sake. Why do I keep on being dragged around~

“Alessa!” Chanyeol was calling for her, she groaned and picked up another bag of chips before going to him.

“Seolah said other things, huh?” She said as the cashier started to ring up their items, she saw how he paused briefly.

“Kind of,” He nodded, Alessa took out her wallet to pay for her share.

“Don’t.” He said as he gently pushed her hands down, Alessa watched as he handed his card to the lady.

“It won’t be easy, Yeol. I mean, people are already talking about it. Plus, I’m also kind of in the picture, which kind of bothers me,” She said as they approached the empty table.

“I was actually surprised your parents didn’t talk to me about it, I was worried they’d be..you know, wary of me.”

“Wary? Why would they be? Wow, you said kind of two times.” He actually had the guts to joke around a serious Alessa.

“Chanyeol, we’re in a scandal together. I helped create bad press for you.” She explained, the male shrugged at her.

“Chan~”

“I’m not gonna deny it, Alessa. You did create friction, and I thank you for that.”

“What?” She balked at him, Chanyeol opened her bag of dried mangoes and pushed it towards her.

“You’re going to hate me for this,” He said as he waited for his ramen to be cooked.

“The scandal helped me get out of the engagement.”

Alessa’s eyes narrowed at him briefly, Chanyeol actually shrunk back on his seat.

“Wow. Glad I could be of service.” She muttered before chewing, Chanyeol grinned at her.

“Don’t worry, I’ll fix it.” He said as he reached out to playfully muss her hair.

“You already did, thanks for that.” She rolled her eyes before swatting his hand away. Chanyeol looked up from his food and took a glance at her, Alessa was studying the ads stuck on the glass windows, she would occasionally pick up another dried mango and chewed slowly.

His lips curled, his dimple appearing before going back to eating.

I really am in trouble then.

Lucas and Dylan were grinning as they saw the G Class pull over in front of the entrance, Chanyeol slid down from the vehicle and opened the front door, Alessa appeared.

They were chatting as they headed for the doors, Alessa was nodding along as Chanyeol spoke. And then she laughed and shook her head at him.

“Daebak.” Another voice chimed in, Lucas turned behind him. Kai had his eyes on the two, and like them, he was also grinning.

“I know, hyung.” Lucas nodded, Kai looked at the two and his brows rose.

“Wait, what are you two doing here?” Kai grew suspicious.

“Were you also waiting to see that?” He jutted his lips towards Chanyeol and Alessa, the two were already approaching the party.

“Hyung~”

Dylan looked at the male, his eyes went to Alessa, she was speaking with the Parks, while Seolah was watching them a few tables away. He chewed on his lower lip, he had a bad feeling about the girl.

“So, you wanna pair them up?” Kai asked, Lucas gave him a thumbs up.

“Good, I’m in.” Kai high-fived the younger Wong.

“I think we should keep an eye on her.” Dylan murmured before stepping away from them, Lucas and Kai looked up.

“So, what’s the game plan?” The Samsung executive asked Lucas, the latter pointed towards Dylan.

“Watch, hyung.”

Kai’s eyes followed Dylan as he approached the two, he noticed how Chanyeol’s forehead creased as soon as he reached them.

“Oooh.” Kai chuckled as Dylan leaned over to take Alessa’s hand in his, Chanyeol’s jaw twitched for a brief moment, his brows knitting together.

And then the WangXi heir pulled the girl with him, Chanyeol shook his head before walking towards his parents.

“See?” Lucas said proudly, Kai grinned and crossed his arms.

“Congratulations, this groundbreaking is a success.” Kai said as his friend sat down beside him, Chanyeol nodded and gave him a shrug.

“You guys disappeared, where did you drag Alessa to?” Kai asked with a grin, he set his champagne down to face the older male.

Seolah turned her head, she didn’t realize that Kai and Chanyeol were sitting behind her, she let out a heavy sigh. The Parks did contact her parents last night, they wanted to discuss their engagement.

“We just ate and..we needed to talk.” Chanyeol replied, his tone careful. But Kai could sense his friend’s discomfort.

“Is something bothering you, hyung?” He asked him, his eyes went to the party, it had gone dark and the other guests were having fun, well mostly, the younger crowd stayed behind to hang out with familiar faces in society. It was actually rare to see all these young heirs in one place. But most of the males probably stayed because they wanted to be introduced to one particular person, Alessa.

“I just…Her.” Chanyeol said with a defeated sigh, Kai followed his gaze, he had to hide his huge grin before speaking again.

“What about Alessa, hyung?” He said playfully, Seolah’s brows furrowed as she continued to listen in.

“I just don’t understand how one girl can get me so confused.” Chanyeol finished.

Kai looked at the girl again, she was chatting with Baekhyun, with Dylan on her other side. Well, the reason why the other males in the party had a hard time approaching her was because of Dylan, he had managed to scare them all off. Well, it wasn’t like Alessa was going to entertain anybody she didn’t know.

“What are you saying? Do you like her, hyung?” Kai tried to play it cool, Seolah exhaled, she quietly stood up and walked away from her table, then she paused when she saw Mrs. Park approach Alessa. The elder was all smiles as Alessa bid her goodbye, she walked her towards the waiting helicopter. Mr. Park was already waiting inside; he gave Alessa a wave before climbing in. Seolah shook her head before walking back towards the pavilion.

Chanyeol looked at his palms before leaning on the table, his eyes went to Alessa again, this time she was staring back.

Kai blew her a kiss and she flinched, but she smiled at them.

“Kai, she…she’s trouble isn’t she?” Chanyeol said softly, Kai glanced at his friend and shrugged.

“Wow, you’re whipped.”

Chanyeol shook his head, there was a small smile on his face before speaking.

“I don’t know how to act around her anymore, Jongin. She’s…terrifying.”

“Now you finally realize she is?” Kai laughed, Chanyeol sent him a look.

“Hyung, it’s Alessa. She was never cold to you, just act how you normally do.”

Alessa left her seat, she was making her way towards her brother, Lucas grinned and hooked one arm around his sibling as she reached him.

“I want her, Kai. And I don’t want that to get in the way of working with her.” Chanyeol said vocally, Kai wanted to jump on the table and celebrate.

“Then, go tell her that. Tell your Alessa you like her.”

“A picnic?” Alessa repeated, Lucas nodded excitedly. The two Wongs were having a late breakfast on a lazy Saturday morning.

“I mean, the weather is perfect for it. And, you know, you could get to know Ahee better.” He said, Alessa smiled and nodded.

And in that moment, she realized how serious he was with Ahee. And Alessa liked that, Ahee was good for him. Too good actually, the girl managed to change her troublemaker sibling.

“Okay, how about we go in one car. You guys should wait in my office. I have an appointment this morning.”

“That sounds perfect, jie. I’ll order sandwiches.”

Alessa chuckled, she stood up and picked up the paper, she stepped out of the house and got inside the car.

“I don’t understand; he wants to talk over…badminton?” Alessa said as the car moved forward, her driver could already sense her mood. She wanted the meeting to be done quickly.

“Yes, vice president, the chairman of SN Group is a bit~”

“A bit of a headache. Let’s get there on time, Lucas made plans.” She nodded before leaning back on her seat and closing her eyes.

It took them a few minutes to arrive at their destination. Alessa greeted the SN executive coolly, her tone measured and business-like. The said company has been reaching out to WongShen for a couple of months and her father asked her to be nice and give them a chance.

She was led to covered court, the middle-aged chairman chatted her up before eventually starting the game.

And all Alessa could think of was ending the game and eat her sandwiches, and then she saw her secretary step in the court. She paused before excusing herself and walking towards the male.

“Vice president,” Her secretary said urgently, Alessa blinked.

“Why? Did something happen?”

“You asked me to keep an eye on your mother,” He started, Alessandra nodded and took a small sip of water before speaking.

“I did, why?”

“She just landed in Seoul, and she’s currently on her way to the company.”
