“Since when does being nice gets you judged?”

Alessa rolled her eyes as she maneuvered around the streets of downtown Seoul, it was already six in the evening and the traffic was getting a little bad.

“You’re not getting it, he doesn’t need to be that nice.” She explained again, the male from the other line snorted.

“Lucas said that you’re being all cold and standoffish towards towards the guy.”

“Di, you don’t understand, I don’t do well with this type of thing. I don’t like having a crush!” She argued back as she stepped on the gas, the Ferrari’s engine purred loudly.

“It’s not a disease, Alessandra. You wont die from it.” He said in a bored tone, she sighed and shook her head.

“Well, hearing from all your complaints about him, he seems like a nice guy.”

“That’s the problem! He’s too friendly that I want to keep away from him.” She hissed as she reached the subdivision where Kai lives.

“Okay, we are never going to find a solution to that, so why don’t you enjoy the night while I get some work done.”

“You’ll drop by and visit, right?” She asked, her tone hopeful. It was one of the many sides that the young miss Wong had and people rarely get to see it.

“I’ll try.” He said mockingly before ending the call.

Alessa reached the property and pulled right beside a black Bentley, she grabbed her purse and slid down from the vehicle. She had dressed down, knowing it was just a casual night with some friends, a pair of dark denim shorts and an oversized Balenciaga shirt with her Alexander McQueen sneakers.

“It’s been years.” He mused as he looked at Kai’s villa, she was about to walk towards the house when a motorbike suddenly pulled over beside her, she halted and her eyes narrowed.

Why do people still prefer this dangerous mode of transport?

The rider kicked of the stand and removed his helmet, Alessa balked in fear.

I might as well pick up a rock for myself for choosing to park here.

“You’re early.” Chanyeol smiled at her as he ped his leather jacket.

“I had to drop Lucas off at his friend’s.” She murmured, then she glanced at him, the male was clad in a mustard yellow muscle top with a pair of nicely-fitted distressed jeans.

I hate summer, it’s like guys just want to show off all throughout the season.

She mentally sighed, disappointed with herself.

“How’s the ankle?” Chanyeol asked as she walked towards her, Alessa took a few steps back, her eyes wide.

“I..I had your coat dry-cleaned, I’ll have my secretary send it over this Monday.” She said quickly, Chanyeol shook his head.

“It’s fine, does it still hurt?” He asked as he gestured for the girl to walk with him. She shook her head at him, Chanyeol’s brows rose and he glanced at her again. Alessa had her eyes forward, her lips curling over slightly as she spotted Kai by the front door, waiting for them.

That was when he realized, she was flinching with every step she took, Chanyeol chewed on the insides of his cheeks before speaking.

“Here, at least let me help you.” He said as he offered his arm to her, Alessa stopped and looked at him. Chanyeol gently nudged her, her eyes went to his offered arm.

She gave him a small nod before taking his arm and letting him support some of her weight as they crossed the lawn.

“Wow, who hurt you?” Kai asked as they reached him, Chanyeol helped her up the steps.

“I’m hungry.” She muttered before sidestepping both males and walking into the house, Kai blinked and looked at Chanyeol questioningly.

“Wait, this is funny. She’s actually talking to you.” Kai chuckled as they followed her into the house.

“Like I said, she’s nice.” Chanyeol nodded back.

“Ah, so she’s out with some friends?” Ahee asked as she and Lucas strolled around the busy streets of Hongdae.

“Yeah, she wanted me to come with her, but I figured that noona might need the alone time.” He mused to himself, Ahee paused.

“What are you saying?” She asked as he took her hand.

“Jie has been so busy with work in Shanghai, plus, she always has to check on me so, I like that she’s in Seoul now, catching up with old friends.”

“Was her life in Shanghai really that hectic?” She spoke, Lucas sighed and nodded.

“Jie…Jie was raised to be an heir, that’s why I feel bad. Our parents gave me so much freedom while growing up.”

Ahee chewed on her lip and just gave the male a slight nudge.

“I’d really like it if she stays longer.”

“Do you miss her that much?”

Lucas chuckled and pulled the girl closer to him, he kissed the top of her head.

“Yeah, and I have a feeling this time it’s different.”

“Different, how? I already have a feeling she wont like me.” She frowned, Lucas shook his head.

“That’s what people don’t get about her, my sister is not an ice princess. I mean, she can be when it comes to work. It’s just never easy for her to let other people in because her mindset is that, she always has to be the strong one. No weaknesses.”

“She’s very cool. Pretty too.” Ahee said, her forehead furrowed.

“And, I know she’ll like you. Dinner’s tomorrow by the way.”

“Lucas!”

“Congratulations, unnie. I’m sorry I didn’t get to stay long at the reception.” Alessa said to older girl, Suho grinned at her.

“How’s Seoul treating you so far? Are you really staying now?” Suho’s wife, Jinah asked her.

“I might have to stay longer than I planned, unnie. We’re working with Lotte on this cultural center that’s also~”

“Hyung, can I speak to you?” Kai approached them, Suho excused himself before following his brother.

“What is it?”

“So, I did a thing. Earlier….well, remember Chanyeol hyung’s..erm..that.” Kai said, Suho grew confused.

“What?”

“Chanyeol hyung’s…fiancé..ish.”

“What about her?” Suho asked, Kai jutted his lips by the mini bar. The older male paused, surprised to see that young lady chatting with some of their society friends.

“Does Chanyeol know?”

“Not yet, but Alessa’s also here.”

“You idiot.” Suho muttered under his breath, Kai glanced around and noticed Alessandra talking with one of their classmates from SNU.

“Did you forget? You don’t get to invite both. You choose one. Only one.” Suho murmured.

Chanyeol had just stepped out of the washroom when he noticed the brothers speaking to each other, Kai looked like he was explaining something to his older brother. He followed their gazes and the Lotte executive’s eyes widened in shock.

“Oh, there he is, Al.”

Alessa glanced up and saw the tall male standing by the glass windows, she excused herself from her friend and made her way towards him.

I’m just going to tell him that I may not be able to attend the contract signing because of another appointment.

That and I’m going to make a run for it.

I can’t stand another~

“Hey, I’ve been looking for you.” Chanyeol spoke, she halted, stunned. The male jogged up after her, he had a small smile on his face.

“I was just…What is it?” Alessandra bit on her lower lip as she stared at him, contemplating if she really should make a run for it.

Talking to Chanyeol had gotten easier over the past few days, but having him in close proximity was a little too much.

“Would you like to drink something?” Chanyeol asked her as he mindlessly reached out to brush her hair off her shoulder. He paused as he noticed the ring on her finger, he realized that maybe he shouldn’t have done that. But it was an emergency, he needed to leave the party.

“D—Drink?” Alessandra spoke, Chanyeol nodded at her.

“Why don’t we~”

“Oppa?”

Alessa paused, Chanyeol was looking at someone behind her, she turned her head. Alessandra’s eyes widened.

“Oppa, it’s you.” The lady said with a relieved smile, Alessandra grew confused, before she could react, she felt someone pull her by the arm roughly.

She froze when she felt an arm wrap around her shoulder and she was pressed up against a warm and well-built chest.
