“So, you and that girl went to college together?” Lucas asked as he tossed the bag of chips to the cart.

“Yeah.”

“Your answer sounds like it has a background story.”

Alessa turned to look at her brother dryly, Lucas batted his eyes at her.

“What else do we need? Does she eat beef?”

“Ahee’s okay with everything, jie.” Lucas smiled, he was actually ecstatic that his sister invited Ahee over for dinner.

“I’m planning to have beef, nothing to heavy though.” She noted as she walked forward, Lucas followed behind her.

“But, jie, how did you…Well, how did hyung managed to not get killed by you?”

Alessa blinked and turned to her sibling.

“What?”

“You and Chanyeol hyung. How come he gets to joke around and you don’t get annoyed?”

“You..You really wanna go there?”

Lucas cackled, Alessandra sighed and just picked out a couple of snacks.

“I mean it; you seem to be getting along well. He gets your personality. He’s a rare gem!”

“I swear to god, we don’t really need a male heir.” She muttered under her breath.

“Jie, what is it?” Lucas said as they reached the frozen goods section, Alessa looked at him.

“I noticed how you were staring at hyung’s fiancé. What’s the story?”

“If I tell you, you’ll badmouth her.”

“Jie, Jaehyun has been badmouthing her for years now.”

“Right.” She blinked at him.

“Oh my gosh, you know too?”

“What?”

“What she did to Chanyeol hyung?” Lucas was actually excited gossiping with his sister.

“Yeah, he told me.” Alessa was unsure.

“So, what happened between you and her?” He asked directly, Alessa chewed on her lower lip.

“Remember that time..when you all rushed to Seoul?”

“Yeah, you were admitted to the hospital, some bastards~”

“Lucas, she…she was the one who sent those men after me.”

“This is funny because,” Kai stated as he walked towards the bar to join his friends.

“What?” Baekhyun asked.

“People are already talking about her, I got a few colleagues call me about how I know the WongShen lady.” He mused as he called the bartender.

Chanyeol glanced at the two.

“So, have you finally decided on your fate, hyung?” Kai asked playfully, Chen chuckled.

“I..actually talked to her about it.”

“You finally did, wow.” Baekhyun nodded for him to continue.

“Well, I had tow choices. I opted for the talking one.”

“What’s the other one?” Chen chimed in, Kai smiled as h received his drink. Chanyeol stared at his empty glass before facing his friend.

“I let her see me in bed with another woman.”

Kai almost spat his whiskey across the table.

“What? Which genius suggested that?” Baekhyun had tears in his eyes while laughing. Chen shook his head, impressed.

“Alessa.”

The table turned quiet, all eyes went to him. Chanyeol shrugged and asked for another drink.

“She…She spoke to you?” Kai asked, he was confused.

“I mean, you talked of other things? Not just all business?”

“She’s not a robot, Jongin.” Chanyeol replied, Baekhyun and Chen grinned at each other.

“I know that, I was…No, she doesn’t usually joke around when it comes to work. Are you sure it came from ?”

Chanyeol smiled and nodded.

“She…She told me to go for it and tell Seolah what I think.”

“We’ve been telling you the exact same thing months ago.” Baekhyun pointed out.

“Maybe because she’s intimidating that he finally followed.” Chen nodded, Chanyeol shook his head at the three.

“She’s kinda right, I shouldn’t really prolong~

“And suddenly, an ice princess from Shanghai makes more sense than his friends.” Kai narrated, Chanyeol slapped his arm. Baekhyun and Chen chortled and finished their drinks.

“I mean it, I..dont think I can push things through with Seolah.”

“Then, don’t.” Baekhyun told him.

“There will be repercussions, you know that, we already announced that we would be married by this year.”

“Look, it’s your life, hyung. So what if there are repercussions? You can fix it later.”

“I guess.” Chanyeol murmured.

“Alessa’s hot, huh?” Kai added, Chanyeol threw a crumpled napkin at his face.

“I was just checking if you were listening.” Kai mused before finishing his drink.

“A what?” Ahee asked as she slid down from the car, Lucas gave her a quick nod.

“I just realized that I didn’t get to do anything for her since she came home so,”

“You want to throw your sister a party?”

“Not a big one, but you know, just friends.”

Ahee nodded as they approached the house, she glanced to her left and noticed the army of luxury cars parked at the driveway.

“Your sister’s taste in cars…is..wow.”

Lucas chuckled and took the girl’s hand as they got in the foyer.

“I’m also thinking about inviting the guys, Kai hyung and the others.”

“Look, if you’re trying to play matchmaker on your older sister, please don’t.” Ahee pleaded with him, the tall male grinned and kissed the side of her head.

“What if I succeed?”

“What if she kills you?” She pointed out, Lucas blinked, reconsidering.

“I already have a candidate, baobei.”

“Don’t. Your noona, I see her as this…really strong independent type, you don’t get it, she does not need a man. Why force it?” She said as they reached the living room.

“Which is exactly why this hyung suits her so well, she needs someone to soften her up.” Lucas explained, Ahee shook her head at him, giving up.

“Just throw the party, Lucas.” She sighed at him, then she straightened up when Alessa walked in the room. Ahee looked at the girl in awe, she had zero makeup on, and was wearing a pair of wide-legged denim jeans and a flowy crop top.

“Hi, I’m glad you could come.” Alessandra said, her tone warmer than usual.

“Please tell me you didn’t mess up the steak.” Lucas said to her as the older girl approached them, Ahee panicked when she gave her a quick hug.

It was then she realized, the Wong siblings were different when they were at home. Lucas got more playful and his sister was relaxed, gone was her uptight and cold aura.

“Thank you for having me, unnie.”

“Sure, and no, I did not mess up the steak.” She glared at Lucas, the latter just rolled his eyes at her.

“You know, if you ever get sick of him,” Alessa started as she guided the girl to the dining room.

“I can introduce you to good looking Chinese boys. Do you have a type?” She was playful and yet still chic, that it made Ahee smile.

“Hmm, a tall man with a nice smile. And a warm voice.”

“Wow. I know someone exactly like that, jie!” Lucas hollered, Alessa removed her Gucci slide and threw it at him.

“Ignore my brother. He .”

Chanyeol stepped out of his office and took out his phone, Lucas was calling him. He paused before sliding the green icon across the screen.

“Hyung,” He greeted.

“Yeah, what’s up?”

“Are you free tonight?” He asked him, Chanyeol glanced at his secretary who was already rushing after him.

Am I free tonight? He mouthed at him. The male nodded quickly.

“I am, why? Aren’t you supposed to be at class?” Chanyeol replied, his tone suspicious, it was just three in the afternoon.

“I’m on my way to my next class, anyway,”

Chanyeol made his towards one of their many conference rooms, his secretary opened the doors for him.

“I’m throwing this dinner party for noona tonight, I was hoping you could come. I also invited Jaehyun and the other hyungs. Her other friends from college too.”

“She had other friends?” Chanyeol joked, Lucas cackled.

“Kai hyung said she had other friends.”

“I’ll be there. What kind of food does she like?”

“As long as its non-spicy, that’s good.” Lucas replied, Chanyeol smiled and sat down.

“Ah, Lucas, I~”

“Wong Yukhei! Where’s my laopo?”

Chanyeol halted, someone was shouting at Lucas. Lucas was distracted, the older male could hear him speaking in Mandarin rapidly. Chanyeol leaned back on his seat.

“Lao..po?” Chanyeol repeated, the word sounded familiar.

“Anyway, hyung, I’ll see you later. Have fun at work.” Lucas chuckled at him.

“I’ll try. Don’t ditch class.” Chanyeol said to him as he faced the other directors in the room.

He gestured for them to start the meeting and he set his phone down.

“Laopo?” He murmured to himself as the room’s lights dimmed.
