Alessa was muttering in Mandarin as they headed towards the restaurant just a few blocks away from the campus.

“Have you guys eaten here before?” Chanyeol spoke from behind her, she rolled her eyes to herself.

I shouldn’t have come by to pick up the giant idiot.

“We have, hyung. They serve the best~”

Alessa halted when a young male stood before her, she glanced back at her brother.

“Uhm---I..I noticed you around campus lately,” He started, Lucas started to grin and he nudged Jaehyun.

“Hyung, you should see this.” Lucas told Chanyeol, who also looked on.

Alessa remained quiet while looking for a way to sidestep the male, she was hungry and she wanted to get away from the tall Park dude quickly.

“Would you like to get coffee together? I belong to the finance department.” The male said with a smile, Alessandra paused and look of utter annoyance appeared on her office.

“How about dinner? I can buy~”

“I’m sorry, but,” Alessa raised one hand quickly, the male looked at it and she paused.

“I’m married.” She said as she moved her ring finger in a swift manner, the young male paused, taken off guard.

“Ah, I’m sorry, I thought you were still a student.”

“Why? Can’t college students be married~”

“Jie,” Lucas gently pushed her forwards but not forgetting to glare at his fellow student before moving away.

Kai stepped down from his car and started to cross the street, he had just sent messages to some of his friends, wanting to meet up before his brother and sister-in-law leaves the country for their honeymoon.

“Right, Alessa too.” He said as he took his phone out again.

“Kai sunbae?”

He halted and looked up, there was a familiar young lady approaching him. His brows went up and he put his phone down.

“Oh, I didn’t know you were back.” He said as the girl reached him, she smiled and shook her head.

“Just yesterday, it hasn’t even been a week and my parents already want me to contact the fiancé.”

Kai nodded and looked around them.

“Then, have you seen him around? I’ve been trying to reach him, but he’s not replying.”

“Ah, really? I haven’t been able to hang out with them lately.” He said carefully, the girl sighed.

“It’s been a year, sunbae. It still feels like a forced engagement.” She said, clearly knowing how uncomfortable her situation was.

Kai bit his lip, feeling bad for the girl.

“Hey, how about you drop by at my place tonight?”

“Really?”

“Hyung might be there, I called him earlier, he said he’d come.”

Chanyeol opened the menu and started to read, Jaehyun and Lucas were discussing about school and one of the reports they had to hand out by the end of the week.

“What is this?” Alessa spoke in Mandarin, Lucas turned to her.

“This might be spicy; do you want it?” Lucas replied in Korean, she scrunched her nose.

“Order that.” She replied, Lucas nodded and called for the waitress.

“You must not like spicy food, Alessa-ssi.” Chanyeol spoke as he took off his coat and draped it at the back of his seat. Alessa’s eyes went to him, she blinked.

I just really hope you would stop sitting across me or next to me.

Heck, you’re even working with me.

Can’t you just go away?

“N—Not really, but it’s fine. Order anything..spicy or not.” She said, Lucas chuckled, she stepped on his foot.

“Right, one time, noona was here, Lucas forced her to try ddeokbukki, guess who almost died?” Jaehyun grinned.

“I’m thinking Lucas.” Chanyeol replied, Jaehyun nodded quickly.

“You’re thinking right.” Alessa nodded, Lucas was grinning like the devil beside her.

“So, hyung, how is it? Working with my sister.” Lucas asked while leaning against the table.

“Aren’t you going to order first? I’m hungry.” Alessa spoke, Lucas ignored her, totally unaffected by the cold tone that would usually make WongShen employees run in fear.

“It’s…okay, at first I thought I would be needing a translator, but luckily, I don’t have to get one.” Chanyeol smiled, Alessa puffed her cheeks and looked away.

I can speak Korean, duh?

How do you think I survived SNU if I couldn’t speak the language?

The waiter returned with a pot of tea, Chanyeol took the liberty of filling three cups, Lucas paused, his brows went up as the older male started passing around the already filled cups.

“I want that pork thing you mentioned and rice. I’m a little hungry.” Alessa spoke.

“Then, no noodles?”

She nodded, she was about to speak when her phone started to ring. Chanyeol glanced at the screen.

“Shanghai calls.” Lucas rolled his eyes as his sister put on her Bluetooth earpiece.

“I’m at lunch, what is it?” Alessa’s tone changed as she spoke, Jaehyun grinned and started to order. Chanyeol looked at the girl as she spoke.

“No, ShunQi will not push through. It’s a broken deal, they breached the contract.” She was getting annoyed that it alarmed her brother.

“Excuse me.” She said in Korean before standing up, Chanyeol glanced at her hand and noticed the ring finger again. They could all hear her speaking in rapid Mandarin, clearly she was barking orders and instructions.

“Wait, your sister’s married?” Chanyeol asked Lucas.

“Well, you could say that, hyung.” Lucas shrugged before facing the waiter again.

Alessa puffed her cheeks as they went down the steps, then she felt it.

A sharp pain shot up from her ankle, she flinced as she reached for Lucas’s arm who was walking behind her.

“Lucas, I~”

“I was right; you did hurt yourself.”

She paused and looked up, Lucas was standing behind Chanyeol, he was looking at her curiously.

“It’s your ankle, huh?” Chanyeol asked again, Alessa finally realized whom she was holding onto.

She had grabbed onto Chanyeol’s forearm, creasing a portion of his coat’s sleeve.

“Well, it didn’t hurt earlier.” She mumbled, Jaehyun looked on, worried.

“How did you hurt yourself, noona?” He asked, Lucas started to hop down the steps happily, not even concerned about his sister.

“Can you walk?” Chanyeol asked her, not minding her hand on his arm, Alessa dropped her hand as if the male were on fire.

“Yes! That means I get to drive!” Lucas cheered, Jaehyun laughed.

“Yes, thanks.” Alessa turned away from him and quickly hopped down the steps. She reached Lucas and tossed her purse at his face.

“You twisted your ankle, it might be better not to wear high heels for a while.” Chanyeol said as as he walked towards her.

Lucas looked at his sister, his Cheshire cat grin grew wider and wider.

“If you don’t want Lucas to drive, I can drop you off.” Chanyeol offered as he gestured towards his car.

“And, I volunteer to take the Rolls Royce instead.” Jaehyun volunteered jokingly.

“Uhm, we’re actually heading to Kai’s later, so, it’s fine. I’ll just~”

“Great, then I’ll see you there.” Chanyeol chuckled before patting her shoulder in a somewhat friendly manner that made her panic inside.

“Great. See you.” Alessa nodded back before pulling Lucas by the ear and dragging him towards the car.

Chanyeol smiled to himself as he watched the two, Lucas bid them goodbye before sliding into the driver’s seat.

Alessa yanked the car’s door open, she bit her lip before looking around. It was too painful to move her foot around and it was difficult to get in the vehicle because of her skirt.

“I should just~”

Chanyeol jogged towards them, she started to panic again. He was smiling as he took off his coat, Alessa was about to speak when he carefully wrapped it around her waist and tied the sleeves securely.

“Get in, your foot must be hurting.” He said as he held onto the door for her, Alessa chewed on the insides of her cheeks before getting inside the car.

I get it, you’re a nice person.

No need to show off.

“I’ll be expecting you later then, miss Wong.” Chanyeol said chuckled before closing the door.
