"Umji yah are you not going to sleep?"

Umji shook her head, sitting there on the couch, still staring into the empty space in front of her.

Yuju sat down next to her, putting an arm around her shoulder.

"Do you have an early schedule tomorrow?"

Umji didn't respond, just continuing to stare into space.

"Yewon ah, please? I'll hug you to sleep."

Umji shuffled out of Yuju's hold. Yuju frowned.

"Yewon."

Umji puffed her cheeks naturally and turned away.

"Yewon."

Yuju pulled Umji to face her properly, finally spotting the small tears threatening to fall from her beautiful eyes.

"What's wrong?"

"I've become afraid to sleep."

Yuju nodded.

"What if I never wake up?"

Hugging her gently, Yuju pat her back slowly, urging her to continue.

"I know it’s a pointless fear, but now that there's something that I want to do the day after, what happens if I don't get up to do it?"

"You'll get up. There's no reason for you to not."

Umji's tears fell, silently.

"You're a healthy girl, I'll wake you up if I have to."

"B-but what if?"

"It won't happen. I swear”

Yuju tucked Umji under her chin, pulling her closer.

"I'll make sure you get to do the things you want to do."

"How? How can you be so sure?"

"Because Yujurgini will help."

"Mwoyah."

"Aliens have cures for things we don't know about. For sure."

Umji didn't move from her spot.

"If you can't believe me, then believe in Yujurgini."

Umji finally smiled.

"If I don't believe in you, then how can we be together?"
