Chapter 12: Hip-Hoppin'

[Hoya POV]

The music ended and the room became filled from music to the sound of my breathing.

"How did it look?" I said between breaths.

"Good~!" DongWoo smiled, "Will you teach me to dance, too?"

"Sure, if you want!" I laughed.

"And rap?"

"Rapping... That's a talent. It doesn't come like magic. Even though I practice rapping, I'm still not perfect."

"Is it just talking with the beat?"

"Haha, 'talking' is an understatement. It's more of like 'vibing' with the beat."

"Vibing... Okay, let's try it then!"

"Tr-Try it? Do you know any raps?"

"I can make it up on the way. It'll be fine!"

"Freestyle then? Okay, suit yourself..." I chuckled.

I the music and listened to DongWoo, but right when the beat started, he was already spitting fire.

"D-DongWoo hyung!!" My eyes widened, "Were you lying to me?!"

"What? Lying about what?"

"About rapping! You're so good at it!"

"Ay... This is rapping? You're right! It is just vibing to the beat!"

DongWoo was a natural when it came to keeping on beat. It was like he had a metronome in his mind or something. Either way, we were a pretty good duo, and strangely, I felt a little less nervous about the auditions. Around 8:30PM, I got a call from Ms. Lee.

"Hoya, where are all of you guys?" Her voice said with a tone of anxiousness.

"DongWoo is with me right now. Why?"

"Gosh, I didn't really plan this out, but none of the others have phones and it's making me so anxious not knowing if they're safe... Only SungJong came home after school..."

"Don't worry. WooHyun is at the school field, DongWoo and I are at the school's practice room, and SungYeol, MyungSoo, and SungGyu are at a cat cafe."

"Alright... Well, try to gather everyone home for 9PM tonight... I have a few things to say to all of you."
