Chapter 45: Restart

[ DaIn POV ]

"Dain... Dain..." WooHyun cried through the phone.

"What happened? Is everything alright?"

"MyungSoo's awake!!"

Time almost stopped. I felt my heart stop. After I got off of the phone, I ran to the living room, where my dad was reading some extensive article on his phone.

"D-Dad..." I breathed.

"Yes, honeybee~" He looked up and smiled.

"MyungSoo's awake!"

"H-Huh?!"

"Dad, he's awake!!" I screamed this time as I held my father's hand and pulled him into a dance.

He laughed as we jumped in a circle in the middle of the living room. All felt hopeless for the past few weeks, but MyungSoo... MyungSoo was strong. He was back.

When MyungSoo said my name, my heart almost stopped. I was so thankful he recognized me. Even though he couldn't move or talk as well, he was still the MyungSoo I knew. He smiled. He cried. He still looked at me the same way.

The weeks following were very tough. I would go to school in the day and then go to the hospital right after. I spent hours with MyungSoo. He was improving so quickly.
