세븐틴: Mess

 

        Just right after the sunset, HyeJin took Jeonghan home safely, and he was quite wearing a much healthier smile.

 

Jeonghan was able to release everything to HyeJin- the burden, the pain, and troubles he’s been thinking; moreover, he was able to breathe a fresher air, so he could calm himself.

 

        The boys were happy seeing him like that and finally, it was time for them to practice.

 

Practice hard! - According to Hoshi.

 

        Once again, after their intense army-like training because of intense dancing, all went directly on the floor to rest.

 

DK:

Hyuuuuung~  I can’t feel my leeeeegs….

(He cried)

 

Seungkwan:

I can’t feel my faaaaaaaats!

(He whined)

 

Vernon:

Oh no!

Your asset is gone. What should we do?

(He teased and giggled)

 

Seungkwan:

(Threw his towel at Vernon because he got insulted- just a bit. He took it as a joke, of course.)

Ya! Fat isn’t an asset!

I’m handsome when I’m thinner.

 

Jeonghan:

I like chubby Seungkwanie better.

 

Seungkwan:

Hyung!

I want to be hot and y too! Just once!

 

Dino:

(Emphasized the ‘s’)

(He laughed)

 

Seungkwan:

Ya!

(He stood up but his knees failed him)

Aigoo!

 

        The practice room filled with laughter.

 

        They did not stop there. After eating dinner and a little rest, they went back to practice.

 

        Everyone was so excited, and everything seemed so fine. Jeonghan was exceptionally healthy and energetic that time, that’s why everybody was hyped.

 

        The day had already ended, but they were not.

 

Seungkwan:

Hyung…

Aren’t we sleeping yet?

(He complained)

Can we continue this tomorrow?

Look at Jeonghanie hyung. He’s lying down again.

 

        They saw Jeonghan lying down with his relaxed position and was about to sleep.

 

Mingyu:

Aigoo! Hyung, what are you doing?

 

Jeonghan:

(He smiled)

Seungcheol:

        Hoshi had nothing to do but to giggle.

(Reached his hands to his baby Dino)

 

        Of course, their baby couldn’t reject his mommy. He pulled him gently and asked his hyungs to carry him on his back.

 

        While walking through the corridors on their way to the bedroom…

 

Jeonghan:

Thank you, Chan.

 

Dino:

Are your legs numb?

 

Jeonghan:

No. I’m lazy.

(He giggled)

 

Dino:

Sure?

 

Jeonghan:

Of course.

Are you worried?

(He looked at him)

 

Dino:

Jeonghan:

Dino:

Because nowadays, you won’t let us know if you’re in pain.

(He know he was lying but maintained his sweet smile)

        Jeonghan noticed that his baby were more like his daddy in the way he spoke- a little commanding.

You’re growing like Coups.

(He giggled and paused for a moment before he continued speaking)

You know… I’m hungry.

Let’s buy a snack!

I’ll change very quickly.

 

Dino:

I will buy.

You are not allowed to go out.

Hyung forbids you.

 

Jeonghan:

Who?

 

Dino:

I mean hyungdeul.

(He laughed)

They all forbid you…. But for me, I can allow you.

(He looked at him and winked)

 

Jeonghan:

I’ll go with your decision.

(He laughed and played with Dino’s plan- well, actually he’s serious about going out, to buy a little snack to eat.)

 

        Jeonghan quickly changed his clothes and asked Chan to do the same. They both went out, while the others were busy. Before they went out, Dino made sure that Jeonghan would wear his mask and hat because he’s too stunning to go out. Fortunately, it was already dawn and no one was out late that night- rather early that morning.

 

        They successfully escaped.

 

They bought all the food that they could enjoy and eat them while going back home.

 

        On the other hand, inside the Sebongs’ dorm, they all felt the same as Jeonghan. They became hungry, and they wanted to buy something too. Jun was to ask Jeonghan in his room, but he couldn’t find him there. Coups was, at the same time, finding Dino to ask him too; however, there was no trace of him.

 

        Joshua suspected that Jeonghan and Dino went out without them knowing. When the two came home, 11 members had their eyes fixed on them.

 

Dino:

Uh-oh!

 

Jeonghan:

Oops!

 

 

Dino:

Hyung, let me explain.

I just- I just accompany hyung to the convenience store.

 

Seungcheol:

I told you not to let Jeonghan out.

I thought I was clear on that, Chan-ah?

 

Jeonghan:

Hey, I just want to go to the convenience store.

Here.

(Presented the food for everyone)

We bought some for you too.

 

Dino:

Sorry hyungdeul.

 

Seungcheol:

(He sighed)

Next time, I won’t allow that anymore.

 

Jeonghan:

        They all felt guilty seeing Chan unhappy.

Chan-ah, if you want to break the rules, go with DK hyung or Hoshi hyung!

(He spoke to kill the awkward silence inside their house.)

 

Dino:

Yes.

(He answered inattentively)

 

DK:

Why us?

(He got confused)

 

Seungkwan:

(He giggled)

(He said that to light up the mood)

 

Vernon:

He doesn’t want to get into trouble.

 

Hoshi:

Cunning!

You’re comforting someone, but I don’t think it could help. You even let us be the bait.

(He joked)

 

Seungkwan:

I was just kidding.

You can ask anyone of us.

(He stuck his tongue out)

 

Dino:

Okay.

 

        Their maknae felt really bad realizing that he was not thinking of Jeonghan’s condition before he act. He wanted Jeonghan to be happy at least, but it seemed that his hyung had their reasons too. He should have followed it. He was still fortunate that Jeonghan was healthy and bubbly that time or else, if his attacks happened out of nowhere again, he would panic.

 

Joshua:

(He was worried looking at the absent minded member)

Chan?

 

Dino:

(He forced a smile)

Yes, hyung?

 

Joshua:

Chan, it’s not that we do not trust you, but….

 

Dino:

Don’t worry, hyung. I understand.

 

Jeonghan:

Chan…

Don’t think too much. I’m very fine and thank you for accompanying me.

 

Dino:

The moment Dino went to get his things to the bathroom, seeing his troubled face, the hyung line felt guilty of scolding at him. They thought that Chan thinks that he’s not dependable.

 

Jeonghan:

I know your good intentions, but I think… maybe we need to talk to him.

I think he’s hurt.

Chan can protect me as much as you guys can do.

He’s not a baby anymore. He’s responsible enough.

(He smiled)

 

Seungcheol:

(He sighed)

(Looked at his dongsaengs)

You all should sleep now. I will talk to him.

 

        He looked so stressed and troubled that time, and the others noticed it. They all knew that Seungcheol’s role as a leader alone was hard enough to keep him exhausted.

 

Joshua:

Cheol, I will talk to him.

 

Seungcheol:

No. I want to talk to him too.

 

Hoshi:

Then, I think we should all talk to him.

 

Jihoon:

Seungcheol:

(He laughed)

        All laughed.

DK:

(He laughed)

Anyway, talk to him after he take his shower.

 

Seungcheol:

Jun:

Coups hyung should talk.

 

Seungcheol:

(He smirked)

 

Seungcheol:

Wonwoo:

(He teased and laughed)

 

Jihoon:

I don’t know why Wonwoo enjoys teasing like that.

(He murmured with a hopeless tone)

 

Hoshi:

Joshua, hyung is mine… because I know that that boys is sensitive too. Joshua hyung knows how to tame Dino.

He needs to speak to someone who can empathize him.

 

Seungcheol:

Hoshi:

If I were Dino, I will feel intimidated.

 

Seungcheol:

(He agreed, while Cheol looked at him with scary stares.)

(Raised one of his brows)

(He giggled, as well as the others)

 

DK:

Mingyu:

Same reasons with Hoshi hyung.

Seungcheol hyung.

I agree with Wonwoo hyung.

 

Seungkwan:

Coups hyung because he has the power. Chan is tough, he’ll definitely understand it.

 

Vernon:

Seungcheol:

        Jeonghan noticed that they skipped him.

 

Jeonghan:

Jun:

You need to sleep.

(He smiled sweetly)

Joshua:

Don’t forget to take your shower.

(He smirked)

 

Jeonghan:

I entrust him to the both of you.

 

        After the voting, they decided to talk to him together.

 

        The bottom line was, their voting did not help at all.

 

        Chan was surprised when he saw his two hyungs waiting before the door of their bedroom. On the other hand, Mingyu and Jihoon were pulling Jeonghan back to his bed because he was still monitoring his baby Chan by peeking through the door.

 

Mingyu:

Hyung, sleep now.

 

Jihoon:

If he’d see you looking at them, Dino will get embarrassed.

 

Jeonghan:

You think he’ll be fine?

 

Jihoon:

You are the one who said he’s not a baby anymore.

 

Mingyu:

Yeah so-

 

        Mingyu carried him by putting his body on his shoulder forcibly.

 

Jeonghan:

Get me down!

 

Mingyu:

In your bed.

 

        The baby giant took him to bed and forced him to sleep. Jihoon was the one looking and monitoring over him after he’s been put on the mattress.

 

Jihoon:

Don’t ever go down from there. Sleep now.

Everything will be fine.

 

Mingyu:

Good night!

 

Jihoon:

Good night!

Close your eyes now, Yoon Jeonghan.

 

Jeonghan:

Alright, I get it.

Good night princes.

 

        Meanwhile, Dino, Coups, and Shua were in their living room.

 

Dino:

Hyung, I’m just alright.

(He smiled)

No need to worry.

I understand.

 

Joshua:

I know you feel down about earlier.

 

Seungcheol:

Sorry Chan.

I didn’t mean to say that to you.

 

Dino:

We are all tired, I understand.

 

Joshua:

Joshua:

(He teased)

You used to tell us what’s inside your mind before, but now… you are very careful.

        Now, he’s taming their eldest. What a hopeless bunch of kids. Dino felt that he had a new responsibility in their family.

 

Seungcheol:

You should protect him from us like what you did before.

(He winked)

 

Joshua:

Please keep your eyes on him. Okay?

 

Dino:

I’m keeping my eyes in every single one of you too.

All of you are dangerous in my eyes.

 

Joshua:

(He laughed)

Dino:

I realized that I decided for myself. I did not consider Jeonghan hyung before doing an action.

Seungcheol:

Dino:

I’m okay now. You don’t have to act weirdly kind because it scares me. Cut those sarcastic smile already.

Seungcheol:

(He scolded cutely)

Okay. Time for us to sleep.

        That dawn, everyone was already in the deepest of their dreams. Jeonghan was still up. He was freezing cold again, and he was having the urge of vomiting.

 

        For the second time, he went alone in the bathroom. There, he waited his coldness to subside and if in case he throw up again, at least he’s right in the bathroom.

 

        His coldness was not as cold as before but it made his nose bleed again. No vomiting happened but his bleeding won’t just stop. He was so careful not to stain his beautiful pyjamas, given by his hamster prince. It took him long enough to worry. He carried a big towel on his nose, went back to get his phone and he was planning to call his doctor at their living room.

 

Doctor Eric:

Hello?

 

Jeonghan:

(In English)

Hello. Sorry Doctor.

 

Doctor Eric:

Yes? What happened?

 

Jeonghan:

My nose is bleeding.

It won’t stop.

 

Doctor Eric:

I will go there right away.

 

        His doctor went there by 4 am in the morning. Fortunately his nose bleed stopped after he called his doctor or else he needed to be hospitalized.

 

Doctor Eric:

If it will not stop immediately, call me right away. Okay?

You did a good job.

(He smiled)

 

Jeonghan:

Thank Doctor.

Doctor?

….

 

He was having trouble on how he could tell Doctor Eric not to tell his friends. Doctor Eric, on the other hand, noticed that Jeonghan’s face was very troubled. He remembered that he didn’t want to make s worry about him because they were under pressure at the moment since they’re preparing for the comeback.

 

Doctor Eric:

(Got what Jeonghan’s expression wanted to say)

Okay, should I go now?

(He smiled)

Sleep now.

 

Jeonghan:

Sorry doctor. I’ll treat you next time.

 

Doctor Eric:

How cute.

Alright.

(He smiled)

Jeonghan:

        Once again, the angel went to their laundry room and washed the bloody towel as soon as possible before the blood would leave a mark on his white furry fabric. He didn’t sleep until he’s not done with it.

 

        The next day, no one had ever notice something weird. Back to their normal day. Practice starts after eating breakfast. Jeonghan was on the table, lazily eating with his twin, Joshua.

 

 

DK:

Aigoo~ hyung… can you make it faster?

 

Joshua:

We’ll wash it later.

Give us more time.

 

Jihoon:

The slow eaters are in contest.

The first one to finish will be the loser.

(He sighed and became troubled)

 

Mingyu:

I pity the food.

(He sighed)

 

Seungcheol:

(He scolded)

Are you a sloth?

 

Jeonghan:

Yeeeeeeees~

(He smiled with a lazy voice.)

 

Jihoon:

(Took Jeonghan’s water)

Hyung, can you eat two spoons before you drink? How can you finish your food if you are already full with water?!

(He scolded him again)

 

Wonwoo:

You don’t want your stomach to be stout after a heavy fluid in your body, hyung.

I tell you it will stretch so much that it will sag.

(He smirked as he started teasing the eldest with his trivia thing.)

 

        The two drinking hyungs automatically stopped drinking because they got a little scared learning what would happen to their body.

 

Joshua:

Really?

 

Jeonghan:

Are you sure?

 

Wonwoo:

Yeah.

(He giggled)

 

Jihoon:

Shua hyung, that’s only for Jeonghan hyung. He’s drinking too much.

 

Jeonghan:

We’re gonna practice later Jihoon. I need a lot of water.

 

Jihoon:

Then drink some later.

Finish your food.

 

        Jihoon was observing Jeonghan because he knew that he’d give some to the members too, and he was never wrong.

 

        Seungkwan passed by and Jeonghan called him.

 

Jeonghan:

Seungkwanie~

You want more?

 

        It was automatic for Seungkwan to open his mouth, but Jihoon, the head nurse, halted Seungkwan.

 

Jihoon:

Chubby boy, don’t eat that. Just get yours if you want more.

 

Jeonghan:

Why?

 

Jihoon:

I told you to finish that. Your portion is just a small one, hyung.

 

Seungkwan:

Ah-right!
You’re tricking me again.

(Placing his hands on his waist)

That’s why I’m getting fatter.

 

Jeonghan:

(He defended.)

 

Wonwoo:

Now eat that.

 

Jeonghan:

Aigoo.

 

Wonwoo:

You have 30 minutes more to finish that.

 

        The boys were like having their toddler disciplining on the table.

 

Jeonghan:

Mingyu:

You too, Shua hyung.

 

Joshua:

I’m almost done.

 

Seungcheol:

(Tapped Shua’s head)

Aigoooo~ good boy.

(He teased)

 

Joshua:

Stop that.

 

        Then, the witty Joshua got another brilliant idea. He got Jeonghan’s chopsticks and fed him.

 

Joshua:

Jeonghan-ah, stop playing with your food.

(Acting like a mother feeding his baby to )

 

Jeonghan:

Look who’s talking.

(He said while rolling his eyes)

 

Joshua:

I am not as slow as you.

 

Jeonghan:

(He sighed)

Can I just eat it later?

 

Joshua:

Look at your doctors and nurses, they won’t allow you.

30 minutes, Jeonghan.

 

Wonwoo:

25 minutes left.

 

Joshua:

Oh- my bad.

We should be faster.

 

        Their angel became a toddler that morning. He was so lazy to move. When he was about to change his clothes, he went straight ahead to the laundry.

 

        Mingyu and DK noticed.

 

Mingyu and DK:

Hyung?! Where are you going?

 

        Then, Jeonghan realized that he was in their laundry room. He was confused, and returned back to practice room.

 

Hoshi:

Hyung, are you going to practice with your pyjama on?

 

Jeonghan:

Oh!

Yeah!

(He giggled)

God, I’m so lazy and I forgot.

 

Hoshi:

Hyung, how can you say you’re lazy when you just wake up?

(He laughed)

 

Jeonghan:

That occurs to me every single day.

(He giggled)

I’ll be back, hamster!

 

Jun:

Don’t get back to bed, Hanie hyung.

 

Jeonghan:

I won’t.

 

        After he changed to his practice suit, he came back to the practice room and he made everybody laugh by bringing a fluffy pillow with him.

 

Vernon:

Eiiii, hyung!

Why did you bring a pillow?

 

Jeonghan:

I told you, I’m lazy.

(He smiled and winked)

 

The8:

You might want to put that down, hyung.

(He said adorably)

 

Jeonghan:

(He giggled)

I’ll make good use of this later.

 

        When they were to start the practice, their poor angel excused himself as he dashed to the bathroom and threw up everything he ate that morning. Aigoo~ poor him.

 

        Their practice session was momentarily stopped as they all followed him. They ended up stuck on the poor small door where only one or two persons could fit at a time. The bathroom was clogged by handsome people just to rescue Jeonghan.

 

        The8 noticed that they were too many for a single door.

 

The8:

Guys, I think we’re too crowded.

 

Jun:

(He smiled)

I-i think so too.

 

The8:

I think, the nearest person should go and comfort him.

 

        DK was the nearest person as he went to follow him right after he escaped the room. He’s 5 seconds early to react than the others.

 

Seungcheol:

Okay… we should step back, guys… for proper ventilation.

 

        With that matter, the suffering angel chuckled. He was happy because they were calmer than before, and besides they were so adorable.

 

Mingyu:

Should I cook something?

I’m sure everything he ate was gone already.

 

Jihoon:

Yes please.

 

Jeonghan:

Don’t cook yet.

I’ll eat later.

 

Wonwoo:

But, it is important that you fill your stomach, hyung.

 

Jeonghan:

Give me-

(He throws up again)

Give me time to decide what food I should eat.

I’ll be fine.

And besides, DK is with me.

 

Seungcheol:

Okay.

 

Hoshi:

        Jeonghan nodded.

 

        After they had left, Jeonghan felt his eyes and throat starting to hurt. He vomited water already. Meaning, his stomach was empty once again. DK was so worried.

 

Meanwhile, the boys were back into practice. They were also worried but since they trust one another, they proceeded to practice again.

 

        After an hour, Jeonghan was calm already. He asked DK if he could eat something. He wants rice because he became very hungry that time.

 

DK:

What do you want?

 

Jeonghan:

DK, let’s buy samgyetang.

(He smiled)

 

DK:

Okay.

Wait… I’ll go and buy.

I’ll ask someone to look after you.

 

Jeonghan:

No, just get my phone.

My mom’s Samgyetang is the best!

(He suddenly crave)

 

Dino:

(He happened to run to them because he was ordered to get their water. Poor maknae)

You want samgyetang?

(He giggled)

 

Jeonghan:

I’m craving. I want Omuk tang too!

And… and cola and-

 

Dino:

Aigoo!

Omma!

 

Jeonghan:

What baby?

(He smiled adorably as he was pleased)

 

Dino:

You can’t add another member in the family. We’re too plenty already!

(He joked as Jeonghan was like having his morning sickness and cravings again just like that of pregnant women.)

 

DK:

Omona! Omma! Eotteoke?!

 

        They laughed.

 

Jeonghan:

Adeul ah, I want you to be good hyungs to your baby brother.

(He went along)

 

Dino:

(He was laughing so hard)

Aigoo! I want a sister! Brother is troublesome!

 

Jeonghan realized something… he thought, Dino was pertaining to them, but he took it as a joke because he knew that Dino didn’t intended that way. Though, he’s annoyingly honest from time to time, and what he just said might have a little truth on it.
