Russian Roulette

"So what's bothering you anyways?" Sunny asked as she was massaging Seo' temples.

Yesterday became unforgettable for Seo. The thought of Minho confessing to her was too much. She just couldn't believe, she just couldn't comprehend how a guy like him was secretly harboring feelings for her. She can still remember the words he said, "I like you.. I've been in love with you for quite a long time now." But even after his feelings were thrown out, Seo had this firm decision of rejecting him. She just doesn't see nor feel Minho being more than friends. Her rejection was about to vomit out of , when Minho told him something else. "I'm not pressing you for answers now, I know you still have feelings for YongHwa and, just give me a chance Seo. After that, you can tell me truthfully how you feel about me."

After that, he just left. The next day, she felt very uncomfortable being near him, that during her shift, she avoided him as much as possible. His confession.. and JaeJoong's sudden change of attitude was too much, that Seo doesn't have enough emotional capacity to hold it all in, that she decided to have a sleepover with Sunny.

She sighed before answering her unnie's question. "So there's these two guys," she started.

"Woo! What a player," she playfully jeered, but Seo only frowned at her.

"It's not what you think," she whimpered.

"I know I know," she said, knowing Seo, her innocence and naivety was off the charts she wasn't even aware the pull she has on men. "So, what's with these guys anyways?"

"Well, the persistent rich boy turned cold and.. the other one confessed."

"BWO?! There's another guy?" She asked curiously, holding Seo's shoulders as she waited for her to answer. Seo nodded.

"Who?" She asked eagerly.

"Minho."

Sunny didn't even look excited when Seo mentioned his name. She let out a huff and continued massaging her temples. "Makes sense."

"What?! Did you honestly think that it was Minho who confessed," she asked, seeing that Sunny might have predicted in her thoughts that this could happen.

"No, not actually," she told her honestly, "Though I kinda expected that he would eventually have feelings for you."

"Kinda nice if you could actually told me about this," she said grumpily.

"It doesn't take a genius to know that one of your co-workers will fall in love with you." She replied smugly.

Seo frowned, but didn't answer. Minho is a sweet and gentle guy, but hearing him say those words, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the him. His feelings will only turn out to be a waste. But he was right anyways, I need to be fair, and at least give him a chance before deciding rashly.

"You don't like him?" Sunny asked.

Seo shook her head.

"How about rich boy then?"

JaeJoong? Unlike Minho, the feelings she had for Jae was still in vague. Even if she was deeply affected how their relationship easily pulled a 180, she still wasn't sure if what she was for him was more than what she has for Minho. Of course, she couldn't have the chance to figure it out now, since the guy is already acting like she doesn't exist.

Seo let out a deep breath, "I don't know, I don't know how I feel for him but right now.. I just want for us to get back what we used to be you know?" She said sadly. "I just miss him a lot."

"Seo.. how 'bout you visit YoonA tomorrow?" She asked, trying to make her friend feel better. "It's been a long time since you visited the place, and I'm sure she misses you a lot."

Sunny saw how Seo's face light up when she mentioned YoonA's name. Seo quickly nodded, and they both planned what to bring tomorrow.

Of course Seo's heart felt hopeful that tomorrow, things might be a little better than today.

---

JaeJoong immediately woke up from his sleep when he felt like his whole body was violenty shook by some unknown force.

"Mjbdflkhf," he groaned, as he tried to swat it with his hand whatever it was that was waking him up.

But the shaking didn't stop, and JaeJoong couldn't help but just open his eyes. His vision cleared and was surprised when he was staring face to face with Junsu's excited face.

"Junsu-ah," he said annoyingly. "This better be important," he threatened.

"Hyung, do me a favor, please?" The younger man desperately begged him. "Accompany me today."

"To where?" He drawled as he covered his face with the pillow he grabbed.

"Pohang."

"BWO?! What the hell are we even going to do there?"

"Eunjung," he said gently. "Please hyung, please come with me. I just want to see her. We can leave as soon as I see her. I promise." He begged. He doesn't care if it's just five minutes, as long as he can catch a glimpsed of her, it'll be enough for Junsu.

Eunjung was Junsu's ex-girlfriend. Before he went to New York, they broke their relationship off. It's been four years since he last saw her, and Jae knows how Junsu still has feelings for the woman. Not having the heart to reject his friend, he agreed to go with him.

"Jinja?" He said excitedly as he watched Jae stood from his bed.

"Ne," he answered annoyingly as he jumped inside the bathroom.

"Thanks hyung," he called out to him. "I'll wait for you outside."

"Destiny has gone back to work I see," he commented to himself as he remembered the last time Junsu mentioned Eunjung to him. "When will destiny work out for me then?" His mind thinking of Seo again.

---

It was an hour passed noon when Junsu and JaeJoong reached Pohang. Jae couldn't help but feel relaxed as he in a lot of fresh air, and had an amazing view of the sea. He still haven't asked Junsu where exactly in Pohang are they going, so he was in shock when he the car stopped in front of a three story house.

"Where are we anyways?" He asked Junsu as they stepped out of the car and went inside the gate.

"Orphanage," he answered, as they walk through the front porch and inside the house.

There were only a few kids when they were inside the living room. The place looked warm and there were mismatched sofa's on the side of the wall. Light came from the five talls windows. The kids were playing in clusters or alone, but they still haven't find any adults.

"Hyung, how 'bout we seperate to find Eunjung," he suggested. JaeJoong of course nodded, seeing that it was easier to find his maiden this way. Junsu took the second floor, while JaeJoong stayed and wandered to find EunJung. He was opening and closing a lot of empty rooms, when he was stopped on his tracks by a familiar sweet tune. He followed the sound, and opened the last door on the hallway.

He opened the door, and he saw a woman playing by the piano. The familiarity of the sound brought fast heartbeats on JaeJoong, that he couldn't help but voice out her name as soon as he entered.

"Seo," he said gently, and the woman stopped her playing, and her warm brown eyes, looked curiously at Jae.

"JaeJoong-ssi." Her eyes softening and her lips curving into a smile as she stared at him.

---

Their encounter was cut short when Eunjung found them both and called them over for lunch. She was quite surprised when JaeJoong explained to her how he actually knows Seo, and it shocked her more, when he told her that they weren't dating. They were having a lovely lunch outside the orphanage's garden. They were sitted outside the porch. Eunjung was sitting beside Junsu, and across the table was Seo and JaeJoong. Junsu couldn't help but stare at the woman. She was surprised that she was the very reason why his hyung got so cranky again. At the end were YoonA, who was looking quite uncomfortable about the way they were sitted and at the other end was Lee Suk Won, who was the owner and the one who took care of both YoonA and Seo when they were young.

"So Seo, how did the two of you even meet?" Eunjung asked sweetly as she passed the kimchi to her. She was really quite intrigued about the woman. It seemed like the "we're friends" excuse of Jae didn't have much effect on her.

"Ummm.." She said, looking quite prickly about the situation.

"She works for me." Jae said casually.

"Jinja? What department?"

"I only work for the coffee shop that his company owns," she explained. Seo felt a little of herself, when Eunjung thought she works inside the company. The old man couldn't help but feel sorry for the lady. But Suk Won just held his tongue and continued eating.

"Oh, how did you and YoonA knew each other?" Eunjung went on with her string of questions.

"We're childhood friends. We both grew up here." YoonA took the chance to answer. She knows how Seo was feeling tensed, so rather than making her feel more uncomfortable, she decided to step in for her. Knowing her for 15 years, she knows how Seo can't easily adjust in new people, let alone in situations where she needed to talk a lot.

"Suk Won-ssi must have been lucky for having you too around," Eunjung smiled at them, and at the old man at the other end.

"Of course, them and the other children brought joy to this orphanage," Suk Won happily smiled.

Lunch went by and only Junsu, Eunjung and Suk Won were the ones who where trying to lighten the mood, while the other three were just listening on the sidelines. YoonA and Eunjung to volunteer to do the dishes, leaving Seo to just go back to the music room. She went and sat on the piano's bench, but her mind wasn't focus to play.

"So this is the place where you grew up," the familiar husky voice said, but Seo didn't need to turn around to know that it was JaeJoong who entered the room.

Seo didn't answer, she still wasn't in the mood to talk.

"You should've brought the guy you were with yesterday," he sarcastically sneered. No matter how much joy it gave him to be with her today, something else gave anger to Jae. It was what those guy's words. Every word he said was heard and Jae couldn't helped but feel frustrated and angry on how Seo could just easily move on with him. She was playing around with a lot of guys. "Tell me honestly, how many guys do you have on reserved before your fiance comes back from his business trip?"

Hearing those words, Seo couldn't help but let her tears fall. She wasn't planning on answering Jae, knowing that it was pointless arguing with an intolerant man. She quitely sob to herself as she just let Jae continue with his words. "... I was right wasn't I? That innocent aura of yours is just an act.. to cover up your promiscuous self."

"YAH!" YoonA came in, angrily sauntering towards Jae. She saw how Jae came in as soon as Seo was inside. She felt like it may be a chance on how to work out their relationship, but in turns out it was only getting worse. "YOU A-HOLE! How can you even say that to her?!

"What?! I'm right anyways," he said, not caring about the glaring woman in front of him. "You know Seo? I think seeing how two guys already made a move on you made me realized something. That you're actually the type who keeps collecting men, and tossing them aside when you're done."

YoonA was about to hit him, and Seo came in the middle. Her face in tears as she stopped her friend from hitting him. But her expression looked cold, full of hurt and anger. "And I couldn't help but think how small-minded and stupid you are director." She spatted so bitterly before running away from the room.

"Hyung what happened?" He immediately went in after seeing Seo running towards the gate. He was stunned to see YoonA glowering at his hyung.

"TCH! Stupid rich boy! How can Seo even play around with Yong's own stepbrother?!!! And the other guy was just a friend, she wasn't even planning on accepting him! You know, this was the first time I saw her in months and the first thing she mentioned to me was her boss who she was feelings for. I was expecting him to be great and all but I didn't expect that the guy was such AN !!" She yelled angrily before leaving the room.

Jae stood there frozed. He was left speechless as YoonA basically covered all the things he just misunderstood. He brushed his hand across his hair. You are an Kim JaeJoong. How can you even say those words to Seo?

"Hyung?" Junsu asked, as he walked towards Jae.

"Junsu, can I borrow your car?"

Without any more words Junsu gave him the keys, and Jae ran outside. He was running betting on with this he hope he can win her back again.. to win his Seo again.
