Chapter 32
The Sisters Grimm
The Staff Of Tal
The next morning came as the bright sunlight invaded Eunha’s eyelids as she slowly opens her eyes. She felt a strong weight on her shoulder, she turned her head as a sleeping Sowon greets her.
Sowon was still deep asleep, she was calm and peaceful. An improvement from last night nightmare. But the glaring sunlight kept on shining on them. Eunha placed her palm in front of Sowon’s eyes to prevent the sunlight from bothering her from her rest.
“Eunha. You’re up, pack up we leave as soon as we are ready.” Umji said as she walked pass Eunha and Sowon.
“Five more minutes. She deserves the sleep.” Eunha said softly as she watched Sowon.
“Alright, but after that we leave. Take care of her.”
“I will...” Eunha replied as Umji walked off to join the others.
A few more minutes passed and Sowon groggily opened her eyes as she felt her exhaustion take over her. The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was a small hand in front of her.
“Eunha...How long was i asleep for?” Sowon asked.
“Don’t worry we’re on time. Get up let’s go.”
Eunha got up together with Sowon as she straightened her outfit. Sowon called for Fenris as he came running to her side. The group gathered together and mounted on their rides.
“Okay let’s get moving. The temple is nearby.” Doyeon said as the sisters continued their journey.
They rode side by side of each other as quickly as their horse could carry them. They had no idea when Jericho might strike, at that moment all they wanted was to get the last remaining weapon and to seek its weilder’s help.
“It’s a good thing your friends with the owner of the staff.” Yerin said as she rode beside Doyeon.
“Yeah. SeolA and I go way back, we were both descendants of the first owners so we kind of grew up together. It’s been quite some time since i’ve seen her up close.” Doyeon said as she recalled her past.
“How about the one who owned the amulet?” Yerin asked again.
“To be honest. I dont know much about that person. Neither SeolA or i had seen or heard from the owner.”
“At least that problem is behind us.” Yerin replied.
They kept on riding through the dense forest as they got closer and closer to their destination. Their journey was more peaceful than before, the recent devastation of the blackhand and the downfall of King Dev made it so.
They were no longer worried of getting ambush for they were now greater in numbers and more powerful than they were before.
Half a day had passed but they did not stop moving, after travelling some greater distance, they stopped in front of a giant temple structure made out of rocks with a fades blue tint.
“We’re here.” Doyeon hopped off her horse as she guided the girls into the temple.
The interior was made of rocks with water flowing out of it, torches placed on the side of the walls which acts as the only light source inside. It was cold and quiet but Doyeon just kept walking as the others follwed her.
Soon they entered a huge cave like room with two giant blue crystals at the far end of the room. A giant throne stood in between the crystals as it watched over the girls.
“SeolA...” Doyeon called for her friend but as she took her first step, the ground started to shake vigorously.
