The Blood Of A Warlock

Sowon could not believe what she was hearing. “Grand daughter? What are you talking about?” She said with a shaky voice while still standing at the entrance of the room. 

“Come closer dear...” Jericho flicked his wrist as an invisible force drags Sowon closer to him until they were merely a few metres away from each other. “ I did not get the chance to see you my dear. I tried to find for you back then in Valrida but i had much more things to take care of.” 

“Don’t call me ‘dear’ i am not your grand daughter nor will i ever intend to be. You killed King Velente and you made my friends suffer.” Sowon said with anger boiling up but in the same time still afraid.

“And when my friends come and save me from here, you’ll regret!” Sowon said again.

“Your friends cannot save you here, this is the Nightmare Realm, A realm only accessible my descendants.” Jericho replied the girl who started to shake her heard furiously.

“I am not one of your descendants!” Sowon retaliated as her voice started to get louder and louder.

“Then how do you explain your powers that you cannot control. You have the powers of a warlock child.” Jericho continued as a smirk grew on his face.

“No no no no!” Sowon grabbed her head as she felt the pain return to her. She fell to the floor unto her knees as she groaned in pain. She could not believe what she was told, she did not want to believe it.

“ Soon your powers will take over your mind and you’ll end up like me.” He carried on tormenting her mentally as he watched her suffer on the floor both mentally and physically.

“ I will never become like you! I have my Eun...” A sudden realisation hit her.  Eunha was not with her. “My Eunha...” She said softly. She started to breakdown again as her blood boiled, she clenched her fist as red aura started to surround her body. She let out a cry in anger as the red aura grew stronger.

“Yes. Yes, succumb to your anger and strengthen your powers. join me...our time is near.” Jericho started to laugh as he felt a surge of victory.

“Never! I still need to save my friends! Stay away from me! ” Sowon yelled and raised her palm foward and shot a red bolt of energy directly towards Jericho. But he effortlessly blocked it with another spell and sighed in disappointment.

“You’re such a fool. Now you have to die.” Jericho raised both palm and shot a stream of energy continuously at Sowon as the girl did the same. Both shots were battling each other mercilessly as they challenged each other. Sowon with all her heart and determination to save her friends allowed her to keep on going, but not for long.

Beads of perspiration formed on her forehead as her arms started to grow weak and tired. The intensity of Jericho’s attack pushed Sowon backwards as she just could not keep up with his skills.

“Your effort is futile! In a few more seconds you’ll be nothing but a faint memory!” Jericho put in more strength into his attack as Sowon started to groan in exhaustion.

Back at resistance HQ....

Sowon was never alone as they took turns to watch over her in case she wakes up. Yerin took most of the shifts as her worry kept on growing. “Sowon ah. Wake up you lazy cattle. Let’s go hunting.” Yerin said to Sowon as she recalls the old days when they were young.

Yerin held tightly onto Sowon’s hands when suddenly her entire body started to glow red. Yerin released her hand and immediately called for help. Everyone came in and saw that Sowon’s entire body was emitting a red magical aura as she squirmed on the bead in cold sweat groaning in agony.

“Guys. Her heart rate is increasing too much if this continues...she might not make it” Doyeon said as she placed her hand on Sowon’s chest. “She seems to be struggling...”
