Lapse
Every Day With Day6The movie in the living room continues its story, though none of them are paying attention to it. Instead, there is a need to understand the why behind the stalker-like photobook.
"Are you sure you guys want me to try and explain?" says Brian in an odd voice. "It'll sound weird and impossible."
They urge him quietly, though persuasively, to do so. Even Wook is staring at him intently. He sighs, taking a deep breath before speaking one of the toughest sentences in his entire life.
"I'm losing my memory," admits Brian.
The members attempt to keep their expressions minimal, knowing that it is vital for the bassist to elaborate at his own pace. There is no need to make haste.
"It started recently," he continues hesitantly. "Just the other day, I almost forgot your names. The camera was a timely gift. And so I knew what I had to do. I kept taking photos, over and over so that I won't lose sight of the things that are important to each of you."
He scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.
"But maybe I was wrong to do them without permission," he ends flatly.
At first, no one speaks. The youngest breaks the silence.
"Fear has a way of turning us into irrational beings," considers Dowoon. "I would be scared if I'm losing my memory."
"Ooh, drummer boy is sounding all wise," jokes Jae. "To be honest Brian, it's okay to tell us about it. At least, me. We can be clumsy together."
Wonpil picks up the silver photobook, looking through it slowly.
"But it's sweet, even if it's rather stalker-like," points out the pianist. "You've jotted down our favourite things, little habits and — oh, oops. I saw a present idea for someone. I won't say who."
"We're family," says Sungjin peaceably with a smile. "We'll find out what to do to help your memory somehow."
Taking a look at everyone, alongside with Wook, he smiles.
