a. Make the Day6 members race with him
Every Day With Day6Yeong makes a few circular runs, hoping to show the members what he is doing. They laugh, thinking that he is trying to chase his own tail. Of course, it is not very likely for one to catch their own.
Yeong stops, realising that his tactic is not working. Instead, he tries to force them in the next strategy. He uses his mouth to tug their pants along.
“Where do you want us to go?” says Sungjin, perplexed.
The dog barks, but to his dismay, the communication is not effective. Sure, they follow after him, but they stop after a few steps. A little angry, he decides to attack Jae’s shoelaces and undoes them.
“Is that what you do to someone who gives you a treat?” demands Jae indignantly.
Yeong frowns.
“Oh,” says Dowoon blankly. “Do you want us to run together?”
At those words, Yeong barks in delight.
“Bingo, smart one,” says Wonpil with a friendly nudge. “Now, where to?”
The members manage to find a relatively clear area for their running. Though they might look silly, they are going to do it anyway. After all, their dog asked them to. Well, pushed them toward it.
They begin the running simultaneously, a hopeless task as Yeong remains the speediest of them all. He barks, pleased at the breeze and winning, turning back to see how the others are doing when he tumbles over a hidden overgrown root, causing him to trip and fall. He whines piteously, breaking all of their hearts.
“Yeong, Yeong, Yeong,” mumbles Dowoon, his sobbing heart giving him the strength to reach the hurting dog first.
The dog looks at him weakly, trying to bite his foreleg.
“Shh, no,” he muses, carefully bringing the Shiba Inu into his arms.
“Is he seriously hurt?” asks Wonpil, the next one to reach him.
“Hopefully not, maybe just a bruise if we’re lucky,” says Dowoon pensively.
“Time to go home then,” declares Sungjin, who arrives along with the other two.
“Have a treat, don’t be too glum,” says Jae with a grin, offering the said item.
“Wrong timing, old friend,” says Brian after Jae gets rejected.
