b. Roll forward
Every Day With Day6The dog rolls forward and does a head tilt. The boy sitting opposite the dog lets out a heartfelt sigh and grabs the dog. A startled yelp is heard.
“Wonpil, that’s rude,” muses the boy on his right with a frown. “Didn’t you see the hurt ear?”
“Oh?” exclaims Wonpil in wonder, staring at it. “Aw. Thanks Dowoon. Come, let me kiss it better–“
“You might not want to do that–“ warns the boy on Wonpil’s left but it is too late.
The sesame dog nips Wonpil’s nose. As a compromise, after a short yell, Wonpil loosens his grip on the dog.
“Warn me a little earlier next time, Jae,” says Wonpil with a mild grumble.
Jae shrugs.
“It’s logical when you’re dealing with an untamed Shiba Inu,” Dowoon interjects.
Sungjin clears his throat.
“Anyway, here we are with this dog because of many reasons,” says Sungjin. “Firstly, I’m late because of the secret boss meeting with the leaders. No, Brian, don’t give me that look while lazing on that sofa. I’m not going to talk about the meeting. This dog was tossed out on the street after a mischief act too many. He’s been purchased a few times but they always return him. There was a thought to put him down despite him just being a young pup.”
At that statement, Dowoon’s throat makes a short growl. The Shiba Inu pricks his ears in interest. The others look at their youngest member in surprise.
“Don’t mind me,” says the drummer hastily, embarrassed for expressing his angry feelings unexpectedly.
“So I got into this random bickering and fighting with the dog breeder, unfortunately,” continues Sungjin. “And now we have a pup!”
“Our brave, affectionate leader,” declares Brian, legs propped up on the sofa. “What would big boss have to say to our new Day6 member?”
A chilly silence permeates the atmosphere.
“I’ll… make a phone call,” says Sungjin slowly before walking away into another part of the apartment space.
“Leader, leader,” mumbles Brian to himself.
“Anyway, forgetting the dog for a little while,” says Jae, stretching his arms in the air before proceeding to stand up. “Are we ever going to watch the movie or open the bag of chips?”
