“Where’s leader?” asks Dowoon, sitting up on the sofa all of a sudden.

“He had an unexpected call earlier today,” says Jae, who happens to be playing with Seung. “I think he has another meeting with the superiors.”

“Maybe they’ve picked up on our bad behaviour,” suggests Brian in mock horror.

“Our leader’s been busy lately,” concludes Wonpil with a frown. “He does a lot in secret too. Workaholic. I think a surprise would do him some good.”

Perhaps it was just a passing thought, but once spoken, it could not be taken back. The other members could not resist the very idea. They begin discussing in low excited voices. They figure that Sungjin would be out for a while, allowing them to plan a little surprise for him after all.

“We’ll throw one to appreciate how good he has been to all of us,” declares Jae triumphantly. “He might be a little fussy and worried at times, but he’s an amazing leader all the same.”

They manage to decorate the apartment unit reasonably in the short amount of time, getting a small cake and some other sweet treats. Perhaps it is overdone, but they wish to please the leader. The sesame Shiba Inu walks up and the members notice him, asking him to make a choice in the surprise.
