He, Seokjin, will never return. I know. He wants to stay, but I won’t let him. I won’t let myself ruin his future. Seokjin is a good man. Better than good –a kind of man that is almost extinct in this world. I should hold onto him tighter then. But I’m a coward. And Seokjin, the good man he is, can never force me. He’s tried; but my answer is still the same. Or maybe that is because he has the same thought as mine.

I wipe my tears away as soon as they’re formed when Seokjin finally stirs awake, his eyes fluttering open. My chest hurts when our eyes meet. Usually, his eyes would practically shining when he saw me. His lips would form into one handsome grin as soon as he saw me. His arms would pull me closer and closer until it’s hard for me to breathe just to give me a good morning kiss on my temple and hold me there.

He doesn’t do any of the things I mentioned right now.

He clears his throat before his thumb comes and caresses my cheek, “Good morning,” he says flatly, eyes boring to mine blankly.

I don’t blame him for his attitude. He is probably thinking and disliking the idea he should leave in an hour or two and he can never come back here again. Ever. He needs to walk out and never looks back. I dislike the idea too –I loathe it. I know that bit by bit, with months pass by, traces of Seokjin will disappear in this place. No matter how I want them to linger or stay or never leave me, they would slowly but surely evaporate to the air.

Seokjin breaks the train of my thoughts when he suddenly lifts his body up and traps my head between his arms. Unknowingly, I hold my breath at his close proximity. His nose touches mine. We lock eyes for a minute or two. Then he leans closer and presses his lips against mine. Slowly, at first.
