Today is the day.

It is Jungkook and I’s first mini live in our school’s festival. I have been super excited since yesterday that I almost didn’t sleep a blink last night but it doesn’t hinder my condition to play today. Jungkook and I have been giggling like a freaking kindergarten backstage as it is almost our turn. Two minutes before our performance, I pick up my guitar and tune my baby one more time, and then—

“What’s that sound?” Yoongi-sunbae appears out of nowhere. I gape at my guitar and to answer the question he asked, it is the sound of one of my string snapped.

I hear whispers of curses and oh-nos around me but I’m too surprised to move. I turn to Jungkook when he calls my name. I don’t need a mirror to know that the look in my eyes are no different from him. My eyes swipe across my bandmates and my heart sinks at all of the expressions. My gaze stops at Jin oppa who just steps inside the backstage and couldn’t help the thought of I’m such a disappointment.

All of sudden, he is in front of me, yanking me up from my seat and taking my guitar from my hands to Jungkook. “Tell Yoona to let the tap dance performance goes first before you guys. We’ll be right back, okay.” I can only let him drag me and follow him like a fool.
