Baekhyun yawns loudly as his eyes gradually blink open against the bright rays of sun that are filtering in through the rectangular window blinds.

Yixing automatically shifts next to him, burying his head against Baekhyun’s chest even more. His soft hair brushes the bottom of Baekhyun’s chin, causing the younger male to giggle a bit from the tickling sensation.

“Rise and shine, love,” Baekhyun affectionately coos as his boyfriend burrows against him even more.

“I thought you said we could sleep in today,” Yixing mumbles back, refusing to surface and clutching the blanket around them even tighter than before.

Baekhyun twists his neck and glances at the square digital clock sitting atop the bureau next to their bed before replying, “It’s already eleven o’clock, Xing. We should at least get up for lunch, right?”

“I want breakfast first,” Yixing says, finally detaching himself from his boyfriend’s warm body and sleepily rubbing his eyes.

Baekhyun nods. “Okay, what’re you craving?”

“Some morning kisses, please,” the Chinese male sweetly requests.

“You know your breath stinks right now, right?” Baekhyun good-naturedly teases, lightly bopping the tip of his boyfriend’s nose.

“Your breath doesn’t smell any better either,” Yixing easily shoots back. “But you don’t ever hear me complaining when you ask for morning kisses.”

“Alright, alright, I’ll bite,” Baekhyun affectionately says before briefly nibbling the edge of Yixing’s cheek, causing the older male to burst out in a peal of merry laughter and wriggle away from the strange sensation.

“You little minx!”

But before Yixing can leave their warm and cozy blanket cocoon, Baekhyun finally indulges his boyfriend in a deep kiss and hums with content against his pliant lips. He slides one arm around Yixing’s back, fingers dancing across the smooth skin, while using his other hand to caress the older male’s soft cheek. This makes it easier for Baekhyun to slightly tilt Yixing’s chin up and slot their mouths at a more comfortable angle.

Meanwhile, Yixing has one hand threading through the younger male’s messy brown hair and his other hand securely holding Baekhyun’s waist. It’s both exhilarating and incredibly serene to have the Chinese male in his arms like this, to feel his pillow-soft lips mold against his own, to taste the intoxicating sweetness of his mouth and not have a care in the world.

Baekhyun playfully nips at Yixing’s bottom lip whenever he needs more access and his body shivers with excitement whenever he hears soft whines of satisfaction from his significant other. Soon, they’re rolling back onto the bed, using the mattress to support their combined weight. The blankets are unconsciously kicked away, but neither of them minds; the closed blinds still provide privacy for their intimate kisses and they’re allowed to enjoy whatever they want in the safety of their own home.

With a happy sigh, Baekhyun thinks this must be what paradise is like.

This must be freedom.

“And that’s both your breakfast and your reward for entertaining me on this fine morning,” Baekhyun says after they finally come up for air, a bit breathless from the dozens of kisses they’ve just shared. His lips are still glistening and a bit puffy, but he rather likes it, especially seeing how Yixing’s mouth looks the same.

“I should always ask for morning kisses if you’re going to be this giving,” the Chinese male comments with a satisfied smile.

“Good mood equals good food,” Baekhyun jokes before stealing another kiss.

But Yixing has other plans and locks his boyfriend in place with his leg.

Not that Baekhyun particularly minds.

After all, lunch isn’t for another hour. They can spare the time for a few more heartfelt kisses.
