HAPPY 27TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR LOVELY CHENCHEN!!

And it's time for our usual celebratory double update!

Oh man, there are SO many things to say this year. Just, WOW, it has been such a roller coaster of emotions for me because of this man.

Let's start at the beginning, shall we?

FIRST, CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING YOUR SOLO DEBUT, JONGDAE! YOU DID AMAZINGLY AND I AM SO SO SO PROUD OF YOU FOR HAVING SUCH A SUCCESSFUL DEBUT!

(not to mention, it was also in april which is my birthday month so that made it feel even more special for me!)

Beautiful Goodbye is one of my favorite songs of all time now and the entire April, and a Flower album is PURE GOLD.

I only wish I had been able to see you perform during your one week of music show promotions forreals sme what is this non-existent promo?? and that I had been able to attend your Busan fan sign. /cries bc i had already booked my flight a month prior to japan that weekend to meet up with a friend OTL

And then we missed each other again, since I was in Taiwan during Baekhyun's birthday weekend and then you went to Taiwan literally two weeks after I did. OTL

Once again, SME just doesn't want me to see you guys. :')

i legit have the saddest story ever of not getting to see exo-6 perform for exploration in seoul but i will spare you all the details LOL if you really wanna know, you can just comment down below and ask me there and i will regale you with a sad sad tale of a sad sad girl OTL

And THEN, I thought all hope was lost when your Station concert sold out and I, once again, failed to get tickets. ;~;

But, lo and behold, tickets appeared a few weeks later and I got to finally see you perform on June 30, which has been the best night of my life this year so far!

To be there for your first ever live performance with 10cm of Bye Babe, which is one of my favorite SM Station songs of all time legit i looped that song FOR MONTHS and i still loop it for days whenever it comes up on my playlist, was a dream come true for me.

To hear you sing Sorry, Not Sorry with that beautiful voice of yours was such an honor.

To actually hear Beautiful Goodbye performed live made me cry, because that was all I ever wanted. legit this is so embarrassing but a girl in front of me turned around and gave me a tissue while saying "pls don't cry" when i started crying as soon as the beginning piano chords of beautiful goodbye played

And to conclude with such an exciting performance of Years, which is also one of my favorite SM Station songs of all time can confirm i also looped this FOR MONTHS and still do to this day, was the best way to end the night, especially since you were having so much fun on stage!

And even though you weren't expecting to do Photo Time that night, you still did it to make us smile and you are literally the cutest person on the planet, especially when you were so embarrassed about having to do a y pose. :') i rewatch that segment whenever i'm sad bc it nvr fails to make me smile ^^

And now, you're finally having your promised solo comeback and I know I'm going to love Dear My Dear just as much as I love April, and a Flower.

I'm so happy you've been given so many opportunities to shine this year and I hope you shine even brighter as you grow as a musician in the future.

You chose to open a YouTube channel so you could communicate more with us fans and share your love of music with the rest of the world, and I couldn't be happier that you're enjoying life so much right now. :)
