“Jongin?”

“Hmm?”

“What did you mean when you said that… that you needed a master and warrior bond to heal me, haven't you done it before?”

It has been two weeks and three days from that accident, and it has been that exact time that I hadn't used my aura’s powers at all. Those two weeks were quiet and calm. None of the triplets annoyed me at all, we lived together as if we lived in two different dorms. They left school early in the morning, before I can even wake up. That small girl who had kicked my ; hadn't volunteered to have a fight with me anymore. In fact, none of the students volunteered to fight me if the teacher herself didn't assign me one.

I thought now, that everything about me was revealed, and that my aura was a lot stronger than before; everyone would want to befriend me. It was a narcissistic thought, but in this school students were friends with their equals, and the only students who were equal to me were the triplets. There was no way I’d befriend them.

I had been training harder too, in secret. When I didn't have any classes that required any of the boys with me. They would be chilling in my room, since neither they nor I fathomed the idea of having them constantly inside their cards. When those days are rolling, I didn't return to the dorms easily and remained two whole hours running around school and building up my stamina. It's not like Xiumin’s training wasn't doing me any good, but it was going on slowly; and I needed to be strong and self-reliable quickly because danger is everywhere and can happen at anytime.

I think the boys already suspect something, but they haven't said anything, especially when I return tired and breathless. It had been going like this in these  whole two weeks, until Kai caught me jogging yesterday.

Of course, he was upset, upset that I didn't tell them about my extra training. But I explained my reasons, and that if I said anything, they wouldn't let me do it, claiming that I already train enough for a day. I made Kai swear not to tell the others, and he told me they already suspect I’m training, with my growing muscles, and the bags under my eyes.

“Um,” Kai’s voice brought me out of my reverie, and I glanced down at him where he laid his head on my lap, my fingers caressing his hair. He didn't let me train my usual two hours, and stopped me ten minutes earlier to relax in the garden, where he laid on my thigh with me taking a breath of air. I looked up at the sky, having to squint as the sun’s rays burned my eyes.

“Healing other beings using life cells requires a strong bond. The worse the wound is, the stronger the bond needs to be. When I first healed you, there weren't anything major to heal besides the bruises and the snap of your knee. Since I’ve been watching you for a long time, a bond has been made from my side. I felt closer to you, felt like I wanted you to be okay. That was what made the bond happen, so I had been able to heal you easily.”

“But?” I furrowed my eyebrows, taking in Kai’s information like a sponge parched for water. Kai directed his pupils up to meet mine, and the twinkling gleam of his chocolate brown orbs was breathtaking. He was so beautiful, I forgot how many times I mentioned his beauty. His jaw sharp and carved into a perfect V with a dimple in its slightly squared end. His eyes small but squinting, and I was reminded of a cat. His fluffy, soft black locks falling down magically on his right eye. He keep blowing on them, hoping they would return to their rightful place. But those locks were sneaky, and the wind was on their side. They kept blocking his eyes, as if they were begging for his attention. His stare was different than any stare he had given me, his stare was strong and fierce and daunting and sedating.

I wanted to hold his stare, but I couldn't. The raw emotions of longing, love and a hint of current amusement was making some kind of heat pool down from my heart all the way to my stomach. I looked away at the burning sun, that is slowly starting to turn warm.

“Your wounds a few weeks ago were severe. You had a concusion of some sort, a punctured kidney that was bleeding slowly. Those wounds were very severe and needed large energy to heal, that kind of energy needed a stronger bond than mine, that's why I couldn't have healed you even if I wanted to.”

“Oh. I didn't know I had all of those… terrible wounds.”

“Mhmm,” Kai hummed in response, closing his eyes and shifting in his position to lie sideways, his nose nuzzling the bulged bone of my hips. I would have blushed, since he was immensely close to a somewhat private part of my body. But I didn't blush, because I wasn't as shy of him as comfortable of his position.

“We have this ability in detecting inner and outer wounds in one’s body, Hani-ah. That's why we could easily distinguish what kind of wounds you have. We waited for you to sleep to save you; because you are one hell of a stubborn girl that would prefer bleeding to death than let us heal you, but darn Xiumin hyung, he got you before any one of us.”

I snorted at him and his small pout, and he looked at me with admiration for a whole, solid minute before bursting into laughter. My heart skipped a beat at the twinkling bells that is his voice, and how this laugh of his was so loud, so free and filled with utmost joy. He reminded me of a child, then; a child who was close to their teenage years where they laughed more than they could ever laugh in their teen age, as if they knew it would be the last time they’d laugh so hard. He twisted in my thigh as his entire body shook, and I found myself giggling unconsciously with him. He was that contagious.

“Hey, there is something I have been wondering about.”

“What is it?” he softly asked, stopping his laughter and peering up at me with gentle eyes. I ran my fingers over his hair, before slowly tracing them down to his eyebrows. He unconsciously closed his eyes, and I smiled a little.

“Why are you and the rest of the boys not talking? I mean Sehun, Joonmyeon and Xiumin don't seem to talk to you.”

“They're just sulking,” he replied, amused. His eyes were still closed, and I trailed the tips of my fingers on his eyelids. “They still can't get over the incident two weeks ago. Actually, Joonmyeon and Xiumin hyung are starting to waver, but Sehun is still stubborn.”

“So nothing to be worried about?”

“Nah,” he gently shook his head, his cheek grazing my hipbone and causing an eruption of tingles down that area. “Nothing to be worried about, they’ll come along.”

-

“People are afraid of you.”

I wanted to snort at Xiumin’s observation, but he was too nice for me to be aggressive with him, so I settled into smiling at him sheepishly. Today I have Martial Arts’ class, and this time Xiumin was the one to tag along. Ever since the incident with the small girl – which they all know about by the way – they had always tagged along in each and every class of mine. Today was Xiumin’s turn, and he was probably the only one of them to comment on the students stares on me as we walked in the hallways.

“So it seems,” I commented, giving Xiumin a sort of hopeless look. He raised an eyebrow at that, before giving a condescending look back at the students.

“It's odd how they’re scared of you, but will fight you hand-to-hand,” he rolled his eyes painfully slow, giving two whispering girls near him a withering glare that made them squeal and run away.

“They're not afraid of me, they’re afraid of you and the fact I can just order you to hurt them,” I noted, staring at the running girls with amusement. I noticed their faces; they were
