I knocked on her door for the fifth time. She told me she would always be waiting, so why isn't she here? There must be something wrong.

I broke down her door to see her lying on her kitchen floor. She was breathing.

I performed CPR on her for a couple of minutes, and finally, she was breathing. Thank goodness, I don't know what I might have done if she died.

“JaeJoong-ah, you're back,” she said calmly. I could see the tears welling up.

“Yeah, I'm home.”

We continued with the promise we made the day before she turned sixteen. We would get married.

Our marriage was beautiful. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sun shined brightly. She was wearing a beautiful, loose white dress, not the traditional wedding dresses. I could see her collar bone popping out, she was bone-thin. Her hair was thinning, no longer as shiny as it was before,

She wore a daoffodil in her hair. Our unrequited love, I thought.

We have finally gotten marrried.

She had relapses daily, her multiple sclerosis was getting really bad. I wanted to take her to the hospital, but she refused.

“I want to die with you,” she breathed out. I looked into her light brown eyes and she looked into my dark ones. We stared lovingly until she closed her eyes.
