How Kibum met Taemin’s parents

Jonghyun had to drop in at work for a couple of hours in the afternoon and Jinki had a late meeting too so it was Minho’s mom who had picked up Taemin from school. After getting done, Jonghyun picked up Taemin from the Chois’ residence and was driving back home when Taemin softly asked, “Appa, can we eat ice cream?”

Jonghyun looked at him from the rear view mirror and smiled, “Sure!” and he began looking to the side because he remembered there was an ice cream parlor somewhere on this street which even had a drive-thru.

“Appa!” Taemin screeched excitedly a few seconds later, “Look! Jinnie car!” And Jonghyun turned towards where Taemin had been pointing, finding a familiar greyish blue sedan in the next lane, speeding past and overtaking him. He glanced at the license plate and indeed, it was Jinki’s car.

“Seems like Jinnie’s also off work and going home,” Jonghyun hummed with a little smile, knowing how Jinki must have overtaken him just to catch his attention and Jonghyun would have played his little game too if he didn’t have to take the next turn into the drive-thru of the ice cream joint.

But Jinki’s car didn’t change lanes and turn towards their residential area but instead turned into the drive-thru and Jonghyun halted his car slowly behind his in the queue, a little confused, “Is Jinnie following us?”

Taemin had left his seat and was standing in the space between the passenger and driver seats, “But Jinnie in front!” He exclaimed with a giggle, “Maybe Jinnie also wans ice cream~”

“But we have a tub of mint chocolate ice cream at home…”

“The gleen ice cream is yucky,” Taemin made a face before he went back to the backseat and began looking at the menu stuck on the wall.
