EPILOGUE

SERA P.O.V

Sehun and I have been husband and wife for 10 years. During that time, we loved and treasured one another. Of course there were occasional arguments but what couple doesn’t fight, right?

Anyways, our tenth year anniversary was coming up and I have no idea what to give him! If we were normal humans we would have been nearly in our 30’s by now but no, I’m still stuck in my 20 year old body and that means we still have the burning passion of youth still coursing around our bodies. I can’t continue to buy him jewellery or x box games it’s getting too boring, and he’s not going to appreciate gift cards at hardware stores.  I need something else, something better.

All the thinking had me feeling dizzy and sick. I don’t know what was wrong with me lately, I was experiencing frequent spouts of nausea and vomiting, as well as feeling lethargic and moody throughout the day. It was really concerning me since vampires shouldn’t feel this way, they are immune to everything, so it’s not just a random sickness. I also don’t want to tell Sehun because knowing him, he would start to worry and be paranoid over something that is probably nothing.

Sehun now was currently out to get our favourite take-out and a couple of blood bags from Suho. Yes, over the years I have grown accustomed to the consummation of blood and it is now a very normal thing that I don’t think about.

Half an hour later Sehun walks through the door with our food in his hands.

“Yeobo! I’m home! He calls very lovingly and I quickly get up to find him setting the food on the dining table.

“Ahh Sehunnie, your back!” I exclaim and run to hug him from the back while he continues to set the food out.

“Wow babe, you really should greet me from home like this all the time, I love it” he says as he turns to give me a peck on the forehead.

“Well, I’m feeling really good right now and I just want to show my hubbie how much I adore an-“ A whiff of this strange smell stopped me in my tracks and had me feeling really sick. What is that horrid odor? Sehun noticed by disgusted face and got worried.

“Hey, jagi, what’s wrong?” he asks. Is he serious? Can’t he smell that putrid scent?

“Something smells really bad. Can’t you smell it?” I managed to say before my gag reflex started to work. Hurridly I made a mad dash to the toilet so I could puke up all the contents in my stomach. Sehun followed right after me and soothingly rubbed his hand on my back as he held my hair away from my face.

“Sera, what’s wrong? Why are you sick?” he asks.

“I don’t know. That food you bought, I think it’s off because it reeked” I explain.

“What do you mean it reeks? It smelt perfectly fine to me.” God damn why does he ask so many questions! Why am I getting so irritated?

“Baby?” he asks.

“What!?” I scream out in frustration. Sehun was instantly taken back by my reaction, I felt sorry for him but I couldn’t help but to lash out. Something is seriously wrong with me.

“I’m.. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, it’s just that I’m frustrated because I don’t know the answer to your questions”. I say as I moved closer to him and cried in his arms. My emotions are really out of whack, it’s like I’m having mood swings. Sehun too was confused, I could see it written all over his face, but still he gathered me tighter in his arms to soothe me.

“Babe, let’s have a shower and get you into bed, I have no clue what’s happening right now but I think a deep sleep will help calm and relax your body, okay?” He asks and looks into my eyes. Not having enough energy to speak I just nod as an answer.

“Okay c’mon” he says as he picks me up and prepares us for the shower.

Once the warm water was flowing down my skin, I felt a sense of relief. Sehun washed me as I held onto his tall lean frame. This was really one of my favourite things to do, I would just wrap my arms around him and hide my face in his broad chest while the warmth of the water pelted down on us. Nothing dirty, just plain adoration for his skin against mine.

After the shower, Sehun carried me to our room where he placed me on the bed. The feeling of soft pillows and blankets instantly made tiredness consume my body to the point where I couldn’t keep my eyes open.

“Goodnight beautiful” my husband whispered and then proceeded to give me a lingering kiss upon my lips.

The next morning I woke up surrounded by Sehun’s embrace. His chin placed above my head while my head lays resting on his chest. This really is the perfect way to wake up in the morning, it gives me a sense of peace and harmony. Not wanting to disturb his sleep, I try to move myself out of his grip but that never happened as my movement triggered him to pull me in closer ending with me spilling a little squeal out of my mouth. .

The noise I had created provoked Sehun to crease his eyebrows and squim about. Two signs of when a person wakes up. The next second his eyelids started to flutter about before they opened up, showcasing a pair of mesmerising brown, almost black coloured eyes. How is the man so perfect? He literally has no flaw.

“Good morning Yeobo” he greets in that y morning voice of his.

“Good morning Sehunnie, I’m sorry for waking you up” I apologised as I pouted.

“That’s okay, I’d rather wake up likes this than anything else anyway” he responded. ‘Ahhh my husband is the best there ever was’ I thought and giggled to myself.

“Eyy what’s so funny princess?” he asks with a playful stare. I was about to answer but something didn’t feel right. My stomach started to churn and started to come back up. As fast as I could, I kicked off the sheets and ran to our toilet where I let loose all the sickness from my tummy.

Sehun came bolting in straight behind me completely concerned for me. I would be too if I was in his position.

“Sera, baby, something is definitely wrong with you! We need to get you checked out as soon as possible!” he demanded. If this was two days ago, I would have argued that it was nothing and to let the situation pass, but the time has come where I’m in no position to argue, there is something definitely wrong with me.

“We’re going to Suho hyung, he’s the one who will know what is wrong” he said as he starts to coax me into standing up. I just nod as an answer, I really don’t have any energy to do anything else.

SEHUN P.O.V

Whatever's happening to Sera is really freaking me the out! She’s never been this sick before, what if she has this rare vampire disease and she only has months left to live? There’s just too many possibilities. I just pray that she will be alright, she’s been through enough for one life time.

I quickly escorted her to the car and buckled her in. She protested that she could do it herself but I didn’t want her exerting any more energy than she needed to.

Whilst we were driving I couldn’t help but ask if she knew of anything that would cause her to be like this.

“I really don’t know Sehun, it’s been happening all week and I thought I could get over it but it seems to be worsening as each day goes by” she weakly responds. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING THE WHOLE WEEK AND SHE DIDN'T TELL ME?? THE NERVE OF THIS GIRL!

“Why didn’t you tell me it had been happening for this long? I’m your husband Jagiya, we are one, whatever affects you, affects me. No wonder I have been feeling off lately, it was all you!”

“I’m sorry Sehun, I thought nothing of it, and sickness comes with the price of living”

“Yes but sickness is a price of living for humans! Vampires aren’t supposed to get sick, I thought you knew that? Whatever’s happening to you could be bad and it’s already started to deteriorate your health!”

“Sehun please don’t do this now, my head feels like it’s going to explode!” she screams. I instantly felt guilty. How selfish I was to argue with her when she was so close to passing out.
