31 | Her Job

 

Luhan groaned frustratingly when out of a sudden, there was a knock on the door, waking him up so bad. He looked at the wall clock, it says 12:05mn. 

 

"Aish. Who would knock on the door this late?" He certainly has no idea. Getting up from his lying position in the couch, he approached his sister's bed, the girl is sleeping so peacefully. Like finally though. His sister almost couldn't sleep earlier because of the medicine she had been taking. 

 

*knock-knock-knock*

 

"Ugh, who the hell is this?" Again, he heard the knock. He approached the door and opens it hesitantly. "Omo. Noona!" However, just only to realize the person is none other than, his sister's girlfriend.

"Shshsh... Don't shout. It's midnight already." Seohyun hushed the younger boy, as she walked in. Unlike earlier, drunk, she has already freshen up.

 

"Oh, Let me help you Noona." Luhan quickly got the paper bag his crush is carrying. "What are these?" he checks on it momentarily. But he was unheard.

 

Seohyun just walk to the bed and check on her girl. "Aww, such a baby face." she giggles, as she find Yoona sleeping face so cute. It's just too cute that she wanted to pinch her cheeks. Heck, she can't do it. All that she can do is to hold her eagerness.

 

"Where's that Zac Noona?" Luhan asked, wondering. He recalled Seohyun chooses to go home instead of going with them. And now she's in the ward, she find it odd to see no one with her. 

 

"He's in my place resting. I just sneak out, Coz I want to sleep next to my Yoonggator." Seohyun answered in a whisper way.

 

"Hmm... Okay." Luhan convincingly nod his head.

 

"Especially that I miss her so much." Seohyun mumbles, which Luhan did not hear clearly. She took the chair nearby and sat down. Eyes are still fixed to Yoona's sleeping beauty. How beautiful her girlfriend, isn't it? She can't help it and smile, feeling her heart fluttering.

 

Luhan just flopped back to the sofa and put the paper bags full of gifts from the U.S.. Then as s to go back to her sleep. "Wait, where are you sleeping, Noona?" But she suddenly realized something.

 

Turning her head behind, Seohyun purse her lips as she looked at the sofa. Two sofas actually. "That." she pointed. "Can you help me with that, Luhan? I'm going to sleep next to my Yoonggator." She explained cutely, as she got up.

 

"Oh. Sure, Noona." Getting up, Luhan quickly helped the older girl, pushing the sofa next to Yoona's hospital bed. "But Noona's bed is a bit higher." He also noticed.

 

Crouching down, Seohyun checked the feet of the hospital bed if it's adjustable. A foolish grin plastered her face when she find out she can actually adjust it. "Luhan, help me to adjust this down." She commanded to the young lad.

 

Luhan can't complain anymore and excitedly crouch down as well. Together, they adjusted the bed carefully without waking Yoona up. Both has grins on their faces as they did it successfully. 

 

"Good night Noona." Says Luhan, as he runs to his sofa. 

 

Seohyun on the other hand lied down to the other, which is next to Yoona's. She did not care putting on a blanket on her, as long as Yoona is being warmed up. She giggles and closes her eyes in the process. 'I wonder what's going to be my Babe's reaction the next morning?' She's excited to see it. Heck, for now, she should sleep already. She had been awake for almost 24 hours now. Her eyes is so heavy. 

 

Moments later, she fall into a deep slumber - while hand is holding Yoona's free hand. Luhan is as almost the same - but he did not missed and check the two. He pouted, quiet sad that indeed, his sister just got herself a girlfriend. He only sleeps when he is in the mood already.

Groaning while opening her eyes slowly but surely, One girl momentarily blink her eyes for quiet a while. She let out a big yawn, as her head turn to the window that was already open. 

 

"Good morning, Miss Im." The nurse greeted her who was the one who opened the window.

 

"Good morning." Yoona answered with a genuine smile. She then noticed, someone is holding her free hand. Her head slowly turns on the other side, and find a black haired girl is holding it. "Omo." gasp her, realizing that the sleeping girl is none other than, her boss. No, not just a Boss now. Can she tell it, girlfriend? Absolutely. But just when did she arrived? She doesn't seem to remember sleeping next to this Angel. But even so, she liked it. Seohyun really surprised her.

 

Yoona find herself biting her lip, as she continue to stare in admiration. After so many denials, confusions, it felt so great that here she is, next to the girl her heart is truly beating for. 

 

"Aigoo, is she your girlfriend Miss Im? She's holding your hand in place?" The nurse can't help herself and giggle, as she find them cute.

 

"Um... Is it obvious?" Yoona blushes, shyly staring into the nurse's eyes.

 

"She must be Miss Seo?"

 

"How Did you know?" Yoona almost want to shout, upon hearing the question. 

 

The nurse giggle again. "Chairman Seo. He told us the reason of your shot is his niece and he jokingly added, you are his future in law."

 

"..." Yoona is out of words, just looking at the nurse with eyes widening, cheeks got more rosy.  The nurse chuckles amusingly at her reaction. She pout her lips and shyly returned her head to the sleepy beauty again. 

 

"Anyway, Just want to remind you. The Doctor will check on your wound again. Um, sharp 8am. Enjoy your honeymoon in the hospital Miss Im. Hehe." The nurse added in a teasing way. She then left, couldn't help it and smile.

 

Yoona doesn't really know what to think now. Chairman Seo is not just a kind person. But he seems an easy person to please. How could he tell the nurse like that? He doesn't even know what's the score in her relationship with his niece now. That only indicates, he is now trusting her well. She sighed and yet smiled. "Your family is seriously weird Boss." She mumbles, softly to herself. She was about to move closer when she noticed the IV is back on her. She disappointingly pouted. All that she can do is to squeeze the girl's soft hand. It's great and she woke up seeing her next to her. The argument last night is nothing to Seohyun's surprise.

 

"hmm..." Just then, Luhan had finally woke up from his deep slumber. He instantly just get up when he remembers about Seohyun. But the moment he saw his sister, already awake... His lips curled into a genuine smile. His sister is staring at Seohyun before her eyes move to him. "She arrived last night, you're already sleeping, Noona." He informed.

 

"You guys didn't wake me? and who adjusted my bed? It's the same level as the couch now." Replied Yoona with an amuse smile.

 

"Seohyun Noona says She wants to sleep next to you. So yeah, I help her Noona. Aigoo, she really likes you too Noona. I have no more chance, do I?"

 

"Do I need to apologize? Or should I say... I'm lucky and she choose to like me?" Yoona softly utters.

 

"Whatever you choose Noona. Hehe. She's so sweet though. I thought she will ignore you the entire night. But look, she's here. Well, she really just miss you. I want to date like her too, Noona." Luhan weakly smiled, earning a giggle from his sister. "Ara. I'll get your breakfast now." He added and casually left the ward.

 

Now that she found herself alone, with her girlfriend, Yoona can no longer take it. She sat up and got out of the bed, holding the stand of her dextrose. She pushed a little the couch so she can have a way, before she carefully crouch down in front of the still sleeping beauty. Knowing how tired it must be for her, she decided not to wake her girlfriend. She stuck the hair strands behind her ears and caresses her cheeks in one hand. God only knows how much she misses touching her delicately. That very soft skin - she wanted to kiss it. So she did, by leaning her head and gently place her pair of lips on the girl's cheeks. She couldn't hold herself and also kiss her nose, forehead, closing eyes, cheeks again, until she ends up pecking at her lips. "Welcome back, Boss." Whispers her, smiling from ear to ear. "It's really great to see you back. Don't leave without me anymore, Okay?" Kissing her lips again, She let out a quiet giggle. But much to her surprised, Seohyun seems to notice a presence next to her - as slowly, her eyes are opening. Yoona widened her eyes, and quickly lowered herself down, hiding before the girl could catch her. She is keeping shut, hoping she did not actually see her.

 

Seohyun who obliviously opened her eyes, somehow close it again and went back to sleep. She curled into like a ball cutely.

 

Sensing that the younger girl had went back to sleep, Yoona slowly lifted her head up and checks the latter. Seohyun indeed went back to sleep. A warm smile makes its way to Yoona's face, watching her girlfriend's beauty again.

 

"Wake up when you feel like. I love you." She whispers, kissing the girl's forehead. Then, she got up slowly and approaches the window, still with her dextrose. She widely opens the window, which causes for the fresh air to enter. That also made her inhale and exhale comfortably. No more heavy chest from now on. And hopefully, when she's going to tell Jessica. "Fighting Im Yoona!" She cheers herself momentarily.

 

Suddenly, a knock on the door was heard. She hastily turned her head behind. "Come in. That's open." She said.

 

The door opens - revealing Zac, who immediately flashed a charming smile to Yoona. The smile in Yoona's face turned frown.

 

"Ha-Hi. What are you doing here?" She doesn't seem to like his aura. Especially how he just appeared with Seohyun. 

 

"Good morning. I'm here to see you and of course, Seohyun." Zac says, holding up a box of pizza. "Do you want to share some?" He offered. When Yoona just looked at him nonchalantly, he chuckles and check on Seohyun, who is still sleeping. He literally flick her forehead and returned his attention back to the still quiet blonde girl. "Don't get me wrong. I am just sending this though. You guys enjoy this before it will cold. Oh, tell Seohyun later that I'll be in the FAB building only. I want to see her later. Thanks for the greeting Yoona." He said and put the box down, to Yoona's hospital bed. He was about to leave when the girl called out for him, stopping him. He turned and looked at the girl blankly.

 

"Um, I haven't introduce myself. It's Im Yoona. Seohyun's Assistant. It's pleasure to meet another friend of my Boss." Yoona said in her English skills. Though not as good as Seohyun's. She just couldn't be like his enemy. So she extended her hand, introducing herself formally. 

 

Without a doubt, Zac took the doe-eyed girl's hand. "Pleasure to meet you. I've been longing to meet the girl that changed my friend's view in love. Wow, Congrats to that." He flashed a charming smile again.

 

"Changed? Oh, I don't know if it's me who did it - But I guess, it's more like - Seohyun is just waiting for the moment that can bring colors to her life. That's it. It's not like, because of me."

 

"It sounds like, you're talking to yourself. But really, it's great she had meet you. Anyway, take care of her. Otherwise, it's not only me who will react if we'll see her hurting. You know that right?"

 

Yoona awkwardly smiled. "Not at all. I just know A LOT of guys are around her, protecting her. Chairman Seo, he's one of those guys." but somehow, she felt the pressure. 

 

"Good. I bet you are now going to be careful hurting her. Nice to see you again. Oh, Get well soon. I'll see you around?"

 

"Y-Yeah~"

 

Zac once again smiled, as he give the doe-eyed a light pat and finally leave the room. Yoona sighed in relief. Her English is not so good, so she thinks their conversation shouldn't stay long. She's glad and he only sent the pizza. He sent a glare to the box and give it a punch before turning to Seohyun.

 

"Dang, such a heavy sleeper." She decided to bring herself back to the hospital bed instead of checking Seohyun again.

 

But just when she lied down, Seohyun woke up slowly from her slumber. That didn't failed Yoona's eyes.

 

"Good morning Babe." And a sweet smile greeted her. "How are you feeling now?" 

 

Yoona felt her heart is beating giddily, smiling back to the young girl, who is so pretty still despite just waking up. "Good morning. I feel good now. And that's because I woke up seeing you next to me."

 

"So you like my surprise? Or do you love my surprise?" Seohyun continued, not dropping her sweet and loving flirt with the doe-eyed. If someone could hear her, she must be hearing broken glasses already.

 

Yoona can't help it and curl her toes. And then, she bit her lip, as she quietly answered, "I love your surprise." in her aegyo voice.

 

*giggles*

 

The couple looked into each other's eyes in silence. Just a sweet gazes and a smile, both know their connection. Both know the beat of their hearts are calling for each other's name. 

 

"Come here." Says Seohyun, still lying on the couch, didn't noticed how red is her cheeks now.

 

"No."

 

"Why not?" Seohyun confusedly creased her brows.

 

"I'm on my IV." Yoona pout her lips cutely. 

 

"That's not a problem. Your other hand is not. Come here now Babe. Let's cuddle." Seohyun extended her two hands, asking for Yoona to come in the couch while showing her pouty lips. 

 

"In one condition." Yoona smirked, having a sudden idea in her mind.

 

"Ugh. I'm not in the mood for games, Yoonggator!!! Just COME HERE, NOW!!!" Seohyun whined, like she mean it.

 

Yoona giggles at the cuteness of the young girl. "Fine. Like I can say no." She then stepped away from her bed and headed to the couch, while pushing the stand of her dextrose. Seohyun sat up and immediately wrapped her arms around her free arm, and pulled her close to her before she can even sit next to her. But she end up sitting anyway. And both of them giggles and rub their noses together.

 

"Aigoo, Aigoo, look who is so clingy?" 

 

"I missed you, you know." Seohyun pout her lips in front of Yoona's face. Which is just inches away from her.

 

"Just when will you stop telling that to me?"

 

"Wae? Do you want me to tell you always 'I love you?'" Seohyun cutely suggested.

 

"That's even better." Yoona peck at Seohyun's lips, which caused for the latter to do same.

 

"Wait, How's your shot? I've heard from Uncle's driver, you got shot by In Guk?" Yet, Seohyun couldn't miss the chance and ask what happened. "What really happened you two? And Yah! You did not tell me, Babe!" She puffs, earning a pinch from her girlfriend.

 

"You're concerned?"

 

"Who wouldn't?"
