25 | Seohyun

Seohyun's she slowly gained her consciousness after a seemed like forever sleeping. A few blinks, she slowly have this clear image of her surroundings. Memories from what happened in the hospital slowly comes back to her mind. She felt frightened -- but something is weird. Unexpectedly, her surroundings isn't as what she expect to be an empty room, instead, she feels like she's in a royal room as she can see; chandelier, night lamps, big closet, a vanity, the covers she's being tuck seems heavy, abstract painting in her right, then balcony across the bed, which she can see it's still daylight outside.

She bolted up and look around more while moving her head frantically then -- "Where am I?" She turned to the right, she can even see a landline, on top of the night stand. Her handbag is next to it.

Hurriedly, she got off of the bed and grab her handbag, taking her phone from it right away. She frowned to see a lot of miscalls and messages already. Most of them came from Yoona and the leader of the mansion's security.

She wanted to return the call, however, she heard a door was opened. Then, she can hear a faint voice - a manly faint voice. Her instincts quickly made her jumps back to the bed and close her eyes to pretend she's sleeping. She keep it like that, while her heart beats are so nervous, body is surely acting the same. 'No, no. Keep on alert, Seohyun. ' But she has to keep her calm and be ready for what is coming. Fighting is definitely a must to do even though she's not expert in some taekwondo skills. But at least she can kick and hit that hard. That's enough, she thinks. She doesn't know what will the man do to her, but she hoped nothing bad will happen. 

Slowly, she can hear the foot steps got closer and closer, until she felt like someone have take a seat at the edge of the bed. A soft sigh followed, frightening her because she can feel the person is staring towards her. 

"I know you're already awake, Joohyun. Come on, let's get outside - You might want to have some tea or coffee?"

The voice, however - it sounds so familiar for her. Seohyun's heart beats quickens, as she felt surreal, she heard the voice. Her entire arms are feeling so cold - as it seems impossible to hear such voice again. Was she dreaming?

"I apologize. My men didn't mean to scare you to death. But it's the only way for them to bring you here. Don't worry, I've kick them a lot of times now. So they won't scare you like that anymore. Um, I hope you're comfortable there.... Joohyun? Seo...Joo... hyun?"

Refusing to believe the voice, she shake her head, as if the voice will actually stop from ringing through her head or she would stop hearing it.

"Aigoo, open your eyes and look at me - look at my handsome face. We don't have so much time, honey."

Unfortunately, that voice - the same person sitting at the edge of the bed is still there. Seohyun's tears drops, as she slowly open her eyes and... "M-Mister. Im?" she can see it within her own eyes. The great grandpa of her kids is so... alive? She's not dreaming at all? Yoona's father is in indeed alive? She covered , as she looks at the old man from his arms to his face - "G-God." she gasps, couldn't believe her eyes yet. "How... wait...are you really alive?" frantically sat up and grabs the older Im's hands. She can feel his hands, so warm. "How is this happening?" she keeps on looking at his hands, and then to his face. It's still the same Im she knew back then. It's the same Im that she literally promised to take care of his daughter. Couldn't hold it, she reached for his face, cupping them. "Oh no... this is... YOU'RE REAL! And I'm not actually being kidnapped by a bad man or something?!" She barely could cope the turn of events. However, she felt happy inside. 

"Do you want me to tell you why? But I think it's better we go out and have some tea. You lose your consciousness, I'm afraid you feel weak right now." Mr. Im chuckles, wiping Seohyun's tears. He was surprised when she suddenly throw herself to him, hugging him tight and cried. He surrendered himself and hug her back. He miss her - but he misses his daughter more. 'I hope my daughter's reactions is the same as yours, Joohyun.'

"I still can't believe it."

Mr. Im almost want to spit on his tea when he heard Seohyun stating the same thing. He looks at her and raised his brows. "Can't believe that?" But he feels like it's not as what he is thinking right now.

"I still can't believe you're alive and my parents even keep this from me. They're good actors, aren't they? But... seeing you right now... and listening to your story the reason behind of this, I'm... I'm slowly... accepting the fact that you're alive." Seohyun smiled, warmly. She took Mr. Im's hands and held them gently. "Appa... you don't know how much I'm happy right now. The twins, they would definitely love to see you back. No, not only the twins. Yoonie... and especially Yoona. She would be the happiest... daughter of yours Appa."

"Chincha? I would love to see it... I would love to hear that she is... Hyun. However, I'm afraid... I'm afraid she'll be mad." Mr. Im mutters, anxiously. He understands it's easy for Seohyun to accept the reason why he fake his death because she isn't some blood related, but for Yoona, his daughter he dearly loved and take care ever since she was born - it's gonna be a different scenario. "You know Yoona is really devastated when she knew I was dead. On top of that, she give up her career to continue my position in the company. To maintain the ownership. How would she react if she will know, I'm alive - that I did this because to save the company. Tell me, Hyun."

Seohyun can't think of anything to say except for, she smiled and give the older a squeeze.

"I know what you are thinking. It's going to be hard." Mr. Im continued his words. He sighed, letting go of the young woman and take a sip of his tea. 

"But I think, It's going to easy... because I'm here. I will help you, Appa Im." Seohyun softly said, reassuringly. 

"I... brought you here not because I want you to help me. Maybe soon, but... " Mr. Im tilt his head to face Seohyun, after he put the cup down to the coffee table. "I brought you here because I want you to do something tonight." He turned serious, looking straight to Seohyun's eyes.

"Um... what?"
