23 | Stalking 1.2

 

Normally, getting into the office would only be so boring - but today, Chairman Seo didn't expect to see a lot of employees crowding his niece office. He got bothered. Especially that this time, it came from someone who is so close to his heart. So without hesitations, he approached the office. All employees immediately rushes to their respectively cubicle once he cleared his throat, that instantly draws their attention.

 

"What's the commotion here?" He asked, to no one in particular.

 

Donghae his back, only to gasp in surprise. "Chairman Seo."

 

"Team Leader Lee?" He raised his brow towards the younger boy. But his attention shifted right away to the one on the sofa, Seohyun and Yoona. He narrowed his eyes towards them, as apparently, they're both surprised as well. He also noticed their disheveled hair - looking like they just woke up. Then, she caught the sight of their coffee table, it has a lot of paper cups. He looked back to them with a questioning look. Both girls looked down to their laps.

 

"A word - In my office." He says firmly, as he turned and left the office casually.

 

With Chairman Leeteuk's disappearance, Yoona and Seohyun instantly glared at Donghae. The latter only smiled awkwardly, before rushing out.

 

Sigh. 

 

A heavy sigh was heard from the two girls, sitting in the sofa, as if they just made a scandal to the entire company. Good thing and there were no trainees, they will be so embarrass for their 2nd visit in the dance studio.

 

"What are we going to do?" ask Seohyun, obviously with her weak and low tone of voice. She feels like banging her head to that glass wall until it bleeds and then, the whole event are forgotten because she's being take to the hospital. 

 

"I don't know." Yoona replied, almost having the same mind with her boss. She slightly looked at the girl next to her, a small smile somehow reach her lips - as she realized a drool on the girl's cheeks. He must be so comfortable on her sleep. Yet, a widening of eyes made through her face when she recalled, Seohyun's head rested on her shirt. Looking down to her chest quietly, she grimaced upon finally smelling that disgusting smell from the girl's drool. And yes, there's a spot on it. She pinch her nose, glaring to the oblivious girl.

 

Sigh. "That Donghae. He's the reason of this." Seohyun utters, slowly looking back to Yoona. "Hmm? Why are you holding your nose?" but only to see the girl being weird. 

 

Yoona pointed to her clothed chest and then to the girl's left cheeks. She did it for so many times. Seohyun curiously followed the her movements, and then held her cheek with her palms, she can feel something a bit hard (?) 

 

"Yah! You drool on me! Eewwww! Go away!!!" Yoona whined like a child.

 

"Chincha?" Seohyun giggles, as she wiped that spot on her cheeks and reached on Yoona's face playfully. Heck, the doe-eyed quickly jumps off, avoiding her.

 

"You should go to the comfort room and clean!"

 

"Look who's talking? I drooled in your shirt too. Hahaha!" Seohyun didn't hesitate and teased Yoona with her drool - Yoona rushes outside, running to the comfort room. She chases, following her to the comfort room like nothing just happened a couple of minutes ago. Some of the employees are definitely bothered with their overnight stay in the company.

Arriving only in front of Chairman Seo's door, the used to be so brave earlier is now pushing her assistant to the door, asking her to knock on it. But damn, Yoona herself is also afraid. She pushed her rather. Seohyun was stubborn, and pushed her back against the door. They keep on doing the process until they end up standing next to each other, in front of the door.

 

"At the count of 2... 1."

 

*knock.Knock.Knock.*

 

They simultaneously knocks on the door, which caused for a loud knock. And with that, Seohyun quickly held Yoona's hand. She's sure she's not acting on her character right now. But being aware of what they have done in the office, she feels like her knees are weak, heart is nervously beating, whilst throat is dry. She doesn't know what to expect inside, but hopefully it won't be too long.

 

On the other hand, Yoona is as almost the same. But the difference with her, she's ready. She's ready to face the consequence. Hence, she's only an assistant/secret officer. She's too far from Seohyun, who is the boss.

 

"Come in."

 

Manly voice soon can be heard inside, obviously coming from Chairman Seo. Yoona held Seohyun's hand back, much tighter than the girl - as she takes the opportunity and reached for the doorknob. Consequently twisting it open. Then, she gently pushed it on the side. 

 

Unfortunately, the moment the door was open, She decided to let go of the girl's hand, as she gives her a way. Seohyun sighed, disapointingly. Thus, walking in first before her assistant could do.

 

There, Chairman Seo is sitting in her leather chair, offering them a seat. With a bit hesitations, both girls took their respective seats, across to one another. Leeteuk looked at them from right; Seohyun, then left; Yoona. He was glad their faces now are cleaned. But their wardrobe are still the same he caught them on the office.

 

"I don't know what exactly happened, but as I will base it on what I caught... care to explain? Donghae and the employees are surprised -- obviously when they saw something in the office. I want to hear the truth." Leeteuk says, seriously.

 

Kicking Yoona's knees through her bare foot, Yoona audibly sighed in defeat - and open her dry mouth to speak. But for unknown reason, there were no words that left . Chairman Seo squinted her eyes towards her, she sheepishly cleared and tried for the 2nd time. But she was beat by her boss.

 

"We just sleep together, Uncle. Is that wrong?" came Seohyun's straight words.

 

"Together? In the office?" Leeteuk exclaimed, didn't expect to hear it.

 

Seohyun exchange gazes with Yoona briefly only, before taking her braveness back. "Yes. Um, We... we kind of agreed to finish all the paper works last night. Um, It's my fault I didn't close the door. It bothers the employees and Donghae himself. I'm sorry about it, Chairman." She bowed, only her head. She feels like her heart is pumping faster unlike earlier. But so far, she can handle it. She was about to continue when Yoona speaks up too.

 

"No, it was my fault Chairman. It was me who ask Boss Seo to work on overnight. I'm sorry. And, It was also me who didn't close the door. I should have known, this wouldn't happen. My apologies." Yoona got up and did a 180 degrees bow. "It's all my fault, not hers. Please, you're free to take action."

 

Agape, speechless, and somehow, flattered -- Seohyun's lips curled into a genuine smile. Yet, she can not just sit there. So she stood up and also bowed the same way with the other girl.

 

"I will be responsible for this, too." She says, without hesitations. She feels like it's right to join Yoona as well.

 

"I am not taking action if there were no scandal that happened except for only sleeping. However, That bothers the employees. You guys just think of anything to apologize the actions you guys have done. Stand straight now, you guys don't need to do it." Leeteuk said, as she ushered both of the girls.

 

Composing back, Yoona and Seohyun smiled back to the chairman. Their faces are a bit red - both flushing with their confessions to the chairman.

 

"Are all the paper works done?" He asked Seohyun especially.

 

"Yes, Old man. Every department can get it later." The younger girl softly utters.

 

"Oh, and... everything is set for Boss' L.A. schedule." Yoona added quickly.

 

Leeteuk finally smiled. He was impressed enough. "That's good. You guys can leave now."

 

Yoona and Seohyun looked into each other's eyes for at least 3 seconds only. Then, they bowed again - leaving the office consequently.

 

"Yoona! Can I talk to you for a while?" Yet, Leeteuk immediately called out, before they could entirely walks out.

 

Both girls stops half way, looking puzzled. Thus, Yoona stays and Seohyun walks out the room. But the young general manager stays outside, hoping she could eavesdrop their conversation.

 

"Why am I not hearing anything?" Yet, she wonders why she can't even hear a little. 

 

"Miss Seo. All walls in this building are sound proofs." One girl that happened to pass at her, told her.

 

Now she knows. She was a bit embarrass. However, she can't left. So she stayed and waited.

 

Meanwhile, Yoona and Chairman Seo is having a conversation inside.

 

"I really don't need to ask this but what exactly happened that it made everyone surprised and seems like, bothered." Leeteuk didn't hesitate and share what he is curious.

 

Yoona awkwardly smiled. "Um... M-Miss Seo. Her words are correct. However... I guess the reason why they're bothered was... " she paused, as she bit her lower lip - having hesitations if she's going to continue or not. But the way the chairman is staring at her is forcing her to do so. "W-We... were in one sofa... Cha-Chairman Seo." She quickly looked down to her lap. "I should have known. I'm so sorry." She tightly close her eyes, as she waits for the older's reaction.

 

"You mean... You and Seohyun were sleeping... next to each other? Or in other words... you guys cuddle?" Leeteuk exclaimed.

 

Yoona involuntarily nodding her head, confirming it.  Leeteuk falls into a complete silence - as he take his time understanding such situation earlier.

 

"I'm so sorry, Chairman Seo. That won't happen anymore. I and Miss Seo are responsible for this. Promise, We will take action with our mistake." Yoona sighed heavily at the end of her sentence, hoping the latter will take it easy for her and her boss.

 

"Wow. I didn't expect that." Leeteuk finally break his silence after a couple of minutes. Yoona lifted her head up, raising her eyebrows towards him. "You and my niece - Are you guys getting closer now?"

 

The doe-eyed girl blinks for three times before she reacted, "Closer? I... I guess we are." She decided to tell the truth. Either way, they're obvious. Cuddling in one sofa is literally just too close for her, not 'getting closer'. She knows she's already so close with her boss. With her beating of hearts? That's another topic.

 

"Do you like her?" Leeteuk asked with no doubts.

 

"Ne?"

 

"I've ask you if you do like my niece." Again, Leeteuk said the same words.

 

Yoona avoided the chairman's gazes on her and slightly just nod her head. 

 

"Oh God, I knew it."

 

"But promise - I will keep--"

 

"I am just asking if you do or not. I don't need any explanation from you. I don't have any consent from her parents to even stop you liking her. She's a god looking girl, anyway. Just a little surprised that even from her character, you like her. But as I can see from my niece, she seems okay with you. So yeah, It's okay for me too. You seemed to be nice Yoona. Just one request... " Pausing for a while, Leeteuk reached for Seohyun's picture frame on the side of his desk and showed it to the doe-eyed. "I don't want to see my niece getting back to her nightmares. As I can see from her now, she seems changing - and I have to guess, it's because of you."

 

"Chairman Seo. It's not what you think. I mean, yes... I like her...but... what you are thinking right now is definitely not correct. We're not an item or... a couple. We're just like friends, so close." Yoona felt like her words are against her heart. But that was the truth.

 

"What?! So you're not dating my niece yet?"

 

"Yes."

 

"But you told me you like her. Should it be you -- confessing to her?" Leeteuk exclaimed, defensively.

 

Yoona felt like smacking her head. But she refused to and bravely answers, "I'm not yet sure if... this like is now... love." 

 

"You... is there another problem?" Leeteuk is sure disappointed. As he can see through Yoona's eyes, she seems bothered with something he is not aware.

 

Sighing, Yoona answered, "Just give it to me, Chairman Seo. It's not something should be share."

 

"Chincha?" Leeteuk raised his brows.

 

Nodding, Yoona got up and bowed to the older. "I think that's all." 

 

"Hold on. There's something else. Take your seat back."

 

Hesitantly, Yoona took her seat back. Leeteuk just giggle quietly and reached something under his desk. He give it to the doe-eyed, and explains what is it for. "Today is actually the day Seohyun went back to Seoul. About 3 years ago now. Kindly send this little gift to her. I always does this every time this day comes."

 

"Hmm, Okay, Chairman." Yoona smiled, taking the paper bag. She got up again, ready to leave when the older have said something stopping her plan.

 

"I hope you could figure it out soon. I just realized, My niece has been smiling because of you. I miss that kind of smile. I guess, she is still 5 when I've last seen it. Make her happy always, Yoona." Leeteuk softly says.

 

Yoona just simply smiled, and finally left the room. Leeteuk was left in his seat, smiling as well. Outside, Yoona made a little sigh when she found out - Seohyun isn't there anymore. She immediately rushes to the elevator and was fast enough to arrive in the floor where her boss' office is located. But just when she arrived, she's surprised to see evey employees are staring at her. Some are giggling, like they're teasing her. She literally covered her face with the paper bag, as she headed animatedly to Seohyun's office.

 

As soon as she arrived inside, Seohyun is already standing from her seat. Arms are cross near her chest.

 

"What did my Uncle told you?" She nonchalantly asked.

 

Yoona showed up the paper bag. "It's been 3 years now since you went back to Seoul. Congratulations!" 

 

"What?" 

 

Yoona chuckles. She approaches the other girl and handed the paper bag. "Your Uncle says, He always does this to you. So yeah, he just want to give this. Open it up."

 

"This is the only thing he told you?" Seohyun exclaimed, didn't expect it.

 

"Yup. What do you expect for him?"

 

"But it took more than a minute." Seohyun questioned. "Don't tell me--"

 

"Just open the paper bag. No more questions." Yoona quickly interrupted, before the girl could think more of the conversation she had with her Uncle.

 

Couldn't somehow push more her questions, Seohyun had a puff on her hair before taking the paper bag. She take her seat back and opens the gift. She smiled when she found the gift to be the same stuff like a year ago. She put it down on the desk and sighed. She recalls, she just broke the gift he gave. He must have found out and gave the same stuff. Will she throw it this time? 

 

"Wow. The Seoul Tower?" Yoona just literally exclaim, as she find the gift to be so cool. It's a figurine of Seoul Tower.

 

"What an old man - this is the 3rd time he is giving this to me." Seohyun mutters to herself, as she decided to put the figurine next to her own picture frame. She smiled at it in the process. She's not going to throw it, this time.

 

"What happened to the two? I don't seem to recall I've seen a figurine on your penthouse." Yoona wonders why '3rd tower', when she haven't seen it on the girl's penthouse.

 

"I threw it."

 

Yoona giggles. "Guess? Because you don't like the stuff?"

 

"Because Seoul Tower had a little childhood memories. I and my parents used to visit this place. Basically, my favorite place out of any other places in Seoul." Seohyun corrected. She just shrugs those memories and decided to stand up again. She chuckles lightly when she finds Yoona speechless with her words.

 

"Don't you want to go home and have a proper clean up? I feel like fainting with my disgusting smell." Seohyun uttered, loud enough for Yoona to snapped back to reality.

 

"That's-that's... my plan as well." The doe-eyed stammered, grinning widel
