Kris couldn’t believe his eyes because he had been expecting that this persistent brat has already gone home by the time Kris reached his apartment but he was wrong. He has underestimated Park Chanyeol’s tenacity. The kid’s said behavior made him sit in front of Kris’ door for four long cold hours with a small white box sitting beside him. He did text the elder about his plans of coming over again and he wasn’t intentionally stood up by Kris. It was all Lee Donghae’s fault for calling him after he bid Luhan goodbye with such urgency, he thought that his frienemy is about to die. It just turned out that he wants Kris to do more snooping around Lee Eunhyuk who is the owner of Sweet Cuddles according to one of its employees; no other than the dozing figure by Kris’ doorstep.

          “Yo, kid!” Kris poked Chanyeol’s thigh with his shoe. When the younger didn’t even budge, he nudged his shoulder roughly to gain some reaction but it seems like Park Chanyeol sleeps like a log. Kris tried pinching the top of his right arm and felt that underneath his constant-hoodie get up, the kid actually has muscles underneath. Kris shouldn’t have been bothered by that so he focused on the task at hand and that is pulling Chanyeol out of dreamland. After ten minutes of futile effort, Kris gave up and just punched in the code into his house. He didn’t see that almost all of Chanyeol’s weight is leaned upon the door so when it clicked open, the kid fell on his back with a thud and a pained groan.

          “What the hell?!” he flailed his arms around to get him upright and because he was still half-asleep, he didn’t realize that doing that is stupid and he’ll just tire himself. His hand found purchase though and he yanked what he felt like an ankle towards him, wanting to see the person who woke him up from a good dream starring Mr. Grumpy.

          Kris was shocked when he saw Chanyeol falling down in slow motion and he reached out for the boy but he’s too slow for his own liking. Knees slightly bent with his back arched a little, Kris was reaching for the fallen person in front of him when he felt a strong tug on his left ankle and he was falling down in fast forward.

          “Umpf!” he let out when his knees landed on the floor with a jolting ache and his hands failed to catch him so he braced himself on his elbows which miraculously landed on the sides of Chanyeol’s head. Pushing the throbbing from the parts of his body that he has landed on, Kris felt something warm and inviting that it’s totally comical compared to what has just happened. Chanyeol could’ve been hurt because of his lapse in attention and he could’ve broken his skull if it didn’t land over Chanyeol’s. He might’ve caught himself at the right time because he didn’t smash the younger’s face but it might also be too late because something was touching in between them. Their lips, to be specific.

          “What the..?!” body feeling like bursting and head swimming into whatever, Kris pushed himself with his arms and he landed on his , groaning in pain.
