CHAPTER nineteen “Kris”

 

 

The situation was serious. Too serious.   One mistake and everything will come crushing down. One move could destroy everything. And then what? He needed to start again. From the beginning.   Kris was biting his lips with need and utter concentration. He couldn't hurt her, he needed to be gentle. His touches should be like a feather, soft and tender. Yet passionate and skillful.   What was going on? Jaelin really didn't know.   Somehow along the way after waking up from yet another scary nightmare, the boys basically locked her into her room, with one of the towers. She thought that Chanyeol would be the weirder one, regarding the fact that Kris was blank faced most of the times. Talking just when he was directly asked or had something important to say. She couldn't be more wrong.   Yeah, but why was the scene right in front of her as disturbing as it is? We have three options.   A, Kris was hiding his real persona. Sounds creepy because if he was that good in hiding, she didn't wanted to know how the others really are. Wasn't there an idiom about men, who are showing their real character just after you married them? Yes, something like that.   Or b, he was always this...weird? (Can you even say that? Weird is not really cutting it somehow.) But couldn't show it because he is more quite and in the background most of the times. Besides that all the situation he ever talked were quite serious ones. Seems legit, it would definitely not make Jaelin vary, but was this option really the right one?   And we have option c, he changed. Highly unlikely, but strange things can happen. I mean look at her life now? 12 vampires equals normal? I think not.   Whatever it is, it's weird and creeping her out. Who wouldn't feel like that? Given, he looked quite handsome while drawing, but talking to a freaking canvas like it was a baby? His baby? That was clearly ed up.   "Now, with this simple line I will finish my masterpiece. One of my many life goals." Kris whispered, starring at a single point on the canvas nearly squinting. Frankly speaking, he looked hilarious. But Jaelin didn't had the energy to even move a finger, yet alone show any emotions besides being overly annoyed with everything. She was sitting on her bed, a bit dejected.   She felt like . Something that wasn't really changing or getting better. It was rather getting worse.   Feeling the familiar itching of her nose, she instantly reached for a tissue before snoozing into it, feeling burning the next moment, which resulted in her coughing roughly. Sighing tiredly, she rested her head on her hand.   Her life at the moment. Including boredom to the extreme people.   Was Kris even listening when she spoke with him? No, he needed the silence for his 'magnificent imagination'. You don't even want to know what he is drawing (you wouldn't really be able to tell what it is in the first place). Then again, this is 'art'. All artist were probably extremely nuts or on crack....or both. There are more than a handful paintings that are about nothing, nothing but colours. Crazily drawn on a canvas and then you have expensive abstract art. Jaelin was just shaking her head at the thoughts, it was ridiculous. It really was.   "Finished." He suddenly jumped up as Jaelin's eyes followed his movements. "Let me present to you my masterpiece. I call it 'the roar of the dragon.' "     A pause. She starred. Hard. It looked fluffy. And cute. Fluffy and cute like the drawing of a toddler. Funny to know that he needed exactly two hours for that. And why has he brought nearly fifty colour tubes for just using black? Wait, was that a marker in his hands?   Conclusion? Kris was weird.   "And how does it look like?" He asked, looking at her from used tissues surrounded figure on the bed, expecting a load of compliments and shining amazed eyes.   He was getting a blank face though. And a raised eyebrow.   "I am hungry." She stated coolly, her voice changed slightly.   Confused as ever, Kris frowned. He wanted to know her opinion, he gave his best for this picture after all, so why was she ignoring it? "You don't like it?" He asked, actually hurt by that.   Groaning tiredly she shook her head, searching for some suiting words. "It looks nice? Can I have something to eat now?"   Brightening up slightly, he was smug. She said it's nice, she likes it. Kris couldn't be more proud. Getting lost in his thoughts about more 'creative' ideas, he totally ignored her second question.   Jaelin's stomach was rumbling, she really needed food. Food was life. "Food?"   Snapping back and frowning at her, he shrugged. "Then go eat?" He didn't know where the problem was in that, yet.   Rolling her eyes at him, she stood up from her bed and went towards the door. "Fine, you said that not me."   Shrugging again, Kris followed her towards the door after placing his work back on the canvas. It was going to be hung up at his personal art gallery back at home, for sure.   Stopping right infront of it, Jaelin just knew that the others were waiting for her. They could probably sent and hear her, creepy indeed. Turning towards him, she motioned him to open the door and the moment he did he fell back on the ground with a sound of surprise and probably pain.   That was her an hour ago, after being attacked by a load of pillows thrown at her from the boys. Since then she ignored every single one of them beside Kris of course. That was a reason for her not getting food. The boys seriously thought that Kris would tend to her needs. Yeah, what a joke. Really funny....   Frankly speaking, they were the responsible one for separating her and her kitchen full of food. Her precious kitchen full of food. And sweets. They needed to pay.   How? Ignoring them sounds extremely appealing. That would be nice. She knew that it would hurt them, but she loved payback and ignoring their existence was probably not the only thing that was coming for them. Or maybe it was, she didn't know yet.   "Is that Kris on the ground?" Chen asked slowly.   "Doesn't look like Jaelin for sure," Luhan commented. "Who's idea was it even? It's a dumb move, Jaelin will hate us for sure. It doesn't look really harmless to fall down suddenly."   "It was Chen's idea," Sehun surprisingly whimpered, looking into Jaelin's cold glare."I swear."   "HEY," Chen shouted then. "It wasn't just me! Baekhyun and Chanyeol threw them too."   "The dork squad, again. I knew it." Suho shook his head in disappointment, earning him am amused chuckle from his mate.   'Good to know who the responsible idiots were.' She thought, but that Chanyeol, her favourite teddy bear, was involved in this was saddening. She shrugged casually, another reason to make him pay. And she was smirking then.   So much for opening up and revealing her real self. A sadistic , who doesn't know the word mercy. Or something like that.   Peeking out of her room, without even thinking about helping Kris up, she went out and towards the kitchen. She was ill, sleep deprived and hungry.
