Based on an interview(10:42) with EXO where Yixing was asked to read a question in Korean and he took a while to read it.

Jongdae nudged Yixing who was staring gloomily out of the car window. "What's wrong?"

Yixing sighed and offered him a small smile. "Nothing."

Jongdae gave him an unimpressed look. "Don't lie, I know something's up. You never tell me anything unless I push you to. So what's it gonna be? Are you going to tell me now or are you going to wait until we have more privacy?"

Yixing sighed again but relented. "I just feel so stupid." He groaned and covered his face with his hands.

"You're not stupid Xingy." Jongdae said gently as he tried to pry Yixing's hands off his face.

"Yes I am!" Yixing said in exasperation. "You heard me today, I was so slow. I can't believe it took me that long to read a few sentences. I just feel so dumb!"

Kyungsoo craned his head to address the elder. "You're not dumb hyung. Korean is you're second language, you can read, write and speak it. If anything you're more clever than the rest of us."

"But Chanyeol and Baekhyun-"

Kyungsoo's mouth set in a hard line. "They're the idiots. They shouldn't have made fun of you like that, don't worry hyung I'll take care of them."

Jongdae gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. "I'm going to kill them."

"Jongdae-"

"No Xing! They have no right to do something like that when they can barely speak Mandarin. How dare they make fun of you!"

"Baobei-"

Jongdae's eye twitched. "I'm going to make them pay."

Yixing s a hand around Jongdae's waist and pulled him towards him as much as the seatbelt would allow. "How about you redirect your negative energy into something positive and help me with my Korean and I'll help you with you Mandarin. It'll be like the old days when you had a secret crush on me and I pretended not to notice it because you were so cute fumbling over your words trying to talk to me."

"Yixing!" Jongdae whined.

Yixing giggled and kissed the top of Jongdae's head. "Leave the killing to Kyungsoo, he's good at that, and take care of me because that's what you're good at."

Jongdae grumbled but melted into Yixing's side. "Fine but I'll avenge you one way or another."

Yixing chuckled. "Of course you will, you're my knight in shining armour."

Jongdae grinned up at him. "Damn right I am."

Sehun then decided to ruin the moment. "I love you guys but if you don't shut up I'm seriously going to throw up."

Jongdae threw a stuffed animal at Sehun's head which made the maknae whine at the leader which erupted another argument in the car.
