Based on ep 9 of EXO 90:2014(46:57) when Lay said Chen didn't really like his cooking.

“Jongdae just tell him.” Urged Minseok.

“I can’t hyung.” Jongdae insisted.

“You can’t keep this up, you’re losing weight faster than me.” Xiumin joked.

Chen pouted. “If I tell him, it’ll crush him. Besides, it’s not so bad.”

“Then why do you keep dumping the food he makes into our plant pots?”

“Because it’s so delicious that the plants need to have a taste too?” suggested Jongdae.

Xiumin fixed him with the look. “Seriously? This is the best you could come up with?”

“If I tell him, then who will cook for us when we’re in China?”

“We’ve made enough money to employ a maid, you’ve seen her around Jongdae-ah.”

“Oh so that’s who that was.”

Minseok frowned. “Who did you think it was?”

Chen shrugged. “I don’t know, I thought Kris hyung had a thing for older women, I didn’t really question it. This actually explains a lot.”

“Now that that’s sorted, just tell him.”

“I can’t tell him.”

“I’ll tell him.” Said Luhan who had managed to detach himself from Xiumin and was walking towards the kitchen.

Chen’s eyes widened before he rugby tackled him to the floor. He was in the process of sitting on Luhan’s face when Yixing came out of the kitchen.

“What’s going on here? Why are you trying to suffocate Luhan?” Yixing asked in confusion.

“Jongdae hates your cooking!” Luhan shouted as he struggled to get Chen off of him.

Chen gave him a dirty look before punching his stomach. He got off Luhan, grabbed Yixing’s hand and lead him to the kitchen.

“Xingxing ge, you know I love you right?” He said with as much aegyo he could muster.

Yixing raised one eyebrow. “Yes.”

“I…um…well…I don’t exactly….I don’t think I appreciate your cooking to the extent that you wish I would.” Jongdae answered fearfully.

“So what you’re trying to say is that you hate my cooking.”

“That’s not what I said.” Protested Jongdae.

Lay smiled. “Is that what all this fuss was about?”

“Umm yes?”

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

“I didn’t want to hurt your feelings. Ge I’d never want to hurt you.” Chen said earnestly.

Yixing ruffled Chen’s hair. “Silly Jongdae. If you had told me earlier, I could’ve improved my cooking by now.”

“So you’re not mad?”

“Nope. Let’s order in.”

“We don’t have to-”

“Yeah we do, the ramen’s pretty burnt by now.”

Just then the fire alarm went off confirming Yixing’s words.
