An ear breaking screech echoed through out the whole house

Himchan was quick to cover the child's mouth

Though muffled, Jungkook proceeded to scream in absolute horror

 

Himchan yelled in panic.

Jungkook didn't listen

The threat seemed to work.. seeing as Jungkook indeed stopped screaming, but that didn't mean Himchan's panic went away that instant..

The child was breathing heavily, eyes wide and still ,as he trembled vigorously.

Himchan immediately crouched down to Jungkook's eye level

 

He nodded shakily

 

Jungkook did as told and suddenly hugged Himchan tightly.. fearing that the older might be gone when he loses his vision

Himchan was also quick to hug him back.. he knew this could led to a lot more serious complications in the future.. what he doesn't know was how much this trauma could affect the child's life

he got a soft shaky nod

although he absolutely knew that the sight could never be erased in Jungkook's memory, he is adamant on not letting him see anymore unnecessary things in this household

"T-They're dead... Junhong's parent's...t-they're d-dead.." He sobbed

Jungkook tightened his hug.. not liking where this conversation was going

Himchan sighed as he rubbed the kid's back

There was no use, trying to lie anymore... eventually they had to know the truth especially if they wanted to overcome it

A loud cry echoed through out the whole room again

Fat tears couldn't stop rolling down the little one's cheeks and Himchan just let him... he just watched as Jungkook cried and cried

there was no use trying to placate him anyway... he knew that the pain that the child was experiencing now was beyond his capability to restrain... because it was too unbearable.. too beyond reach to repair... he knew...

he gently picked the crying child up, leading them to the hallway, away from the morbid scene

"Jungkook-ah.. I know I'm in no place to say this... but... be strong okay? Be strong for Junhong and Jongup... I don't want to see anyone else in pain anymore..." He pleaded as he shook the crying lad

"Yes... his parents.. are also gone.." he thumbed down the falling tears one by one from Jungkook's face and gingerly took him in for a warm hug... hoping it would at least lighten up the mood

such violence and brutality were not meant to be viewed by the eyes of the innocent...Jungkook, such as himself was innocent..and now Himchan felt at fault for being too reckless for having to subject Jungkook into so much pain and agony at such a young age.. if only he hadn't force himself into him.. if only his pride wasn't so blinding.. if only he had let Youngjae carry both kids, at least until they got out of the house... then he wouldn't have to risk tainting a horrible image into an innocent child's mind

"H-Hyung... I am a big boy.. and big boys are strong.. but.. even big boys need their mommies and daddies... how am I suppose to live now? No, how am I, Junhong and Jongup suppose to live now?... we don't know how to take care of ourselves alone.. we need our parents.." He cried again

Himchan knew for a fact, that the others were probably losing their patience waiting outside now, but hell, they can wait forever if they have to.. this was far more important! Okay... maybe that was a bad idea, the ship was waiting too.. but they have to endure a little longer.. just until after he placates Jungkook enough to present him to the remaining two children without raising suspicion..

"Hyung will take care of you from now on.." He gingerly ran his hand on the threads of Jungkook's hair

Jungkook stood stiff, giving a sad nod

"B-But.. they'll know... I-I can't stop crying...I don't think I'm strong anymore.." he desperately wiped his tears of with his sleeve, begging for them to stop, but they just kept coming..

Jungkook reluctantly nodded, assuring himself to at least try and put on a happy face for his dear dongsaengs who have yet to suffer the pain he has.. he has to try his best.. he just has to..

after giving him a moment to fix himself, Himchan hoisted Jungkook up into his arms. Securely holding him tight as if he'd disappear if he didn't

once they reached the door, they were greeted by a lot of expectant faces

"What took you so long?" Yongguk asked which Himchan later addressed a shrug to

Setting, Jungkook down to go with the other kids after telling him to open his eyes, Himchan eyed the little boys with a hint of pity and concern

"Why is Jungkookie's face so red? did he cry? rabbit hyung what did you do to him?!" The maknae huffed and glared at Himchan the moment he spotted his disturbed Jungkook hyung

Junhong looked at Jungkook, expecting for a confirmation and further explanation

"Y-Yes.. Junhong-ah... I-I just tripped..." He inhaled some air in.

Junhong tilted his head to the side in confusion before looking at Himchan again

"But Jungkook hyung is a strong boy! He doesn't cry at small things like tripping! He didn't even cry when he fell of a tree and had a big boo-boo! " He huffed again and that's where Himchan started to panic a little

at the sound of this, Junhong's face of expectance and accusations was quickly swapped with a look of worry and concern.

Jungkook smiled at the sudden change of mood

"Not anymore... Himchan hyung hugged me better..." He then threw a soft meaningful smile towards Himchan.. the older could only smile back as he received warm sensations tugging down his chest

"Oh..well.. Thank you for taking care of our Jungkookie hyung, Rabbit hyu- I mean Himchan hyung!" he eagerly went to Himchan to give him a tight squeeze

at the back of the commotion, Youngjae stared curiously over to Himchan as he leaned forward and whispered..

"Hyung... what really happened?" he asked with the most shushed down tone he could manage

There was an unusual silence on the other side before Youngjae 'Oh'-ed sadly in understanding, staring at Jungkook with unreadable eyes..

The six of them journeyed forward, further out the forest and slowly heading to their destination, the town...

Youngjae was quite unusually happy, that with every step he took, he would be a step closer to Daehyun.. it kinda made him feel like his heart was at ease, with every inch he'll move forward.. it was a nice feeling..

after a few more steps, Himchan decided that they weren't going any faster and that the ship wasn't going to be there forever. So, to pick up the pace, the team agreed to run forth.. well at some point, the children did grow a wee bit too tired from all the running, and considering the other three were adults, they had a lot more stamina stored in their systems, so Jungkook decided to call it

"H-Hyungs! W-Were too tired! I don't think we can take another step without collapsing!" He yelled as he gasped for quick breaths

"We get too pick which hyung carries us!" Complained the maknae..

of course, Himchan's insecurity was back.. he couldn't exactly force them, so what if he'll be left alone again?! That's like a major minus of proportion on his confidence scale

"I Choose Himchan hyung!!" Jungkook was quick to yell off, afraid Himchan would get picked by someone else.. the instancy kinda caught Himchan off guard, leading him to cough out the shock

"I was gunna pick him!" Junhong had argued back, both totally unaware of how Jongup was already climbing Yongguk's arms quietly... he had grown quite attached to this deep voiced gummy bear hyung, it's funny considering they just met a few hours ago..

Youngjae chuckled at the cute sight.. it was nice to see the kids finally taking interest in Himchan.. Knowing how Himchan was, it almost felt like the other was dying when they were back in the house the moment the two had argued over Youngjae himself, totally forgetting Himchan's existence.. it was kinda odd.. seems as though Himchan feeds off of attention.. but it was nice and funny that way.. plus, he did get a bonus, from hearing the kids call him 'Rabbit hyung' , now that is one concrete proof that Himchan really was an obnoxious silly rabbit... although he is not completely obnoxious since he is frequently needed and loved.. but yeah, you get what he means..

"Alright kids! Hyung can carry both of you!" Himchan had announced with a wide grin

"Ehhhh?!!! But wont you get tired, hyung?" The maknae asked

Himchan lengthily explained, trying to prove a fact that he could carry the two boys without having Youngjae to help him.. plus, this way could benefit Youngjae too.. after all, the boy was really weary and needed to get as much energy or whatever he needs to be able to carry on with this journey.. fact given, Himchan think they weren't really that far away from the town anymore.. after all, there is a reason why they call it the 'nearest town' right?

and so, without a thought more, Himchan instructed the two kids to get on either his front or back..

Jungkook wanted the front, but Junhong also wanted the front..

But the moment he remembered what he had said earlier awhile ago, he immediately called off his pride and gave Junhong the front spot

'I will be a good hyung to him from now on..'

"Junmyeon?.." Hoseok looked over to the disoriented man, that was planning the procedures to the whole 'going back to earth' mission

"What is it?" Junmyeon asked, breaking his trance for a bit, looking at Hoseok impatiently for an answer

Mixed emotions sprawled over Junmyeon's face... their grounded duration has ended now, hasn't it? He was happy that someone actually wanted to have them to do their work.. that someone was bold enough to ask those nincompoops to do the job..  but at the same time, he was kind of sad of having to be reminded of what Jongin had said previously

He was upset.. but he was upset about himself...

how could he not notice there efforts? all these years they were just trying to make him proud all along... they messed up so many times..but they said they did it for him.. they tried for him.. of course they didn't intentionally mess things up on purpose... they just happened to be a little reckless...

but still... no matter how many times they commit mistakes, no matter how many times they mess up.. it still wont change a fact that they were his sons..

Hoseok smiled, attempting to prove that he was sure

Junmyeon averted his eyes to the ground in guilt

Hoseok grimaces upon hearing this..tugging down his lab coat firmly as he peeked over, trying to make out what point Junmyeon was trying to prove

"That's just another way to say you don't trust them... if you really did trust them, then you wouldn't care regardless if they messed up or not..." he dictated as a matter of factly.. straightening up a bit upon hearing Junmyeon sigh

he instantly activated the call device, and without a second more, the big hologram of the two's room appeared with a blink of an eye

scanning the holographic room for the two, Junmyeon's eyes widened in instant shock

He called. A sudden yelp suddenly echoed from the hologram

"W-What?" The brunette nervously asked, looking at his father from his own side of the hologram

"WERE YOU TRYING TO WOO YOUR BROTHER?!!" He yelled frantically, surprising Hoseok who was still standing there in a bridge of shock and curiosity

"N-No I wasn't! I did no such wooing!" He argued back in panic

Arguing was useless when it came to Kai and his father... because his father would win anyway...

Junmyeon rubbed his temple exasperatingly

He sighed tiredly

Junmyeon eyed his son, raising a brow at him

Jongin furrowed his eyes disbelievingly

Junmyeon rolled his eyes

Jongin huffed in annoyance

"I wasn't molesting him! We were experimenting! and besides! we're step brothers! Not blood related! So I can date him if I want to." He crossed his arms, pouting his lips from irritation

Point taken, no point in arguing really..

Junmyeon leaned closer to the hologram

Kai and Kyungsoo's ears immediately perked up upon hearing this as they paid all their heed to what their father was about to say

They waited excitedly as if they were dogs waiting for a treat from their master

Hearing this, Kai immediately jumped up in joy, where as kyungsoo just rolled his eyes to the side

Junmyeon had to hold back a chuckle after seeing his son's happy dance.. but he frowned instantly as soon as he remembered why

Kai stopped dancing trying to hide a frown

Hoseok visibly flinches upon hearing what Kai had to say

 

 

"Well I'm glad you made it clear... no wooing, okay? Now go... I'm putting you with all my trust in this.." He muttered and received a small smile and nod from the two boys before the hologram died down

"Welp... that settles it.." Junmyeon nodded his head to Hoseok

Junmyeon half smiled and half frowned

There was a fat silence before two big laughs brimmed the air

After what finally felt like forever, the six 'travelers' finally got to the town

"We made it!!" Himchan gasped for air, as he gingerly placed the kids on the ground before stretching and caressing his back..

sure those two were light, but carrying them for a really long time sure paid a huge toll on him

"Thanks for carrying us hyung!" Junhong thanked loudly..

They had noticed though.. Jongup and Yongguk hadn't say anything for awhile..

Once they looked at how they were, they instantly softened their eyes.. Jongup was sleeping comfortably in Yongguk's hold, as if their was no problem in the world at all.. and they have seemed to acknowledge the fact that Yongguk tried his very best to have Jongup's slumber, a peaceful one.. From rocking him slowly, to not making any noise at all.. but he dared not to sing a lullaby for he knew his deep voice would probably scare the boy in his sleep..

Youngjae on the other hand was lost in thought.. he had been such an air head lately, and there's no need to ask why.. the reason was just so bold.. so hard to miss..

Himchan looked around as he held each kid's hand in his own, guiding them to where they need to go...

There were some people left.. only a few though, since majority were already in ships..

Moreover, the ones that were left were basically only packing now.. seems like everyone's prepared then..

They walked through the remaining people as they took time to admire how big the ships really were...

"How do we know which ship Daehyun's in?" Youngjae had absentmindedly asked.. he didn't need to worry about suspecting the children though.. after all, they already knew Daehyun was really on a ship since he told them beforehand...

"I absolutely have no idea..." Himchan muttered breathtakingly as he stared at the ship with much amusement

in the midst of their awe-ing, a man had taken his courtesy to eye the whole group.. his dark orbs stopping immediately as soon as he spotted one particular man included on the small group

 

 

Youngjae's eyes, along with the whole group's widened.. they hastily turned around, curiosity taking the better of them

once they spotted the male, the group was smeared with confused expressions, except one person of course.. that being Youngjae particularly
