Time had passed by. Hoseok's wife had bore a healthy , happy and beautiful baby boy. They all rejoiced as the serum was succesfully implanted inside the child and now the human race could see some hope. The child was all smiles but Hoseok was all frowns for he knew that, that beautiful and geniune smile on his son's face wouldn't last long. He couldnt let the world down, no matter how much he loved his son. He prepared for the worse for he would soon hear the painful and helpless cries of his own child, he knew that the whole process was extremely painful but he also knew he couldn't do anything about it. After all they planned out and risked..the government would simply decline if he were to back out. The tokiverox were frequently attacking and since they already had Daehyun, the government decided to test him out..Hoseok didn't look too happy to hear this..

"Now, Hoseok..I know you love your son but we have a planet to win back"

"Are you serious?! He's still a baby!!"

"So?.."

"He isn't ready!"

"What are you talking about?! He's a year old! that's probably long enough for our people to wait under fear of the tokiverox!"

"But.."

"take a good look around ,Hoeseok.."

The governor, Min Yoongi, let Hoseok witness a horrible scene of people being tortured by the tokiverox..at the sight, Hoseok could only nod at it

"See..people are suffering because you're to reluctant to make a move..make a decision, Now!"

"...okay...let's..do...it.."

"that's better...now, let's get your son"...

Hoseok carefully slipped into His family's shared bedroom. Since it was already very late, his wife and his son were sleeping soundly. He smiled at the sight of his wife clutching their precious baby boy in her hands..he stood there, admiring the sight until he remembered what he had to do..He stared at his sleeping son and gently scooped him out of his mother's grasp. He once again looked at his son in his arms
"I'm so sorry Daehyunnie but..Daddy has to do this ,okay?I'm just so sorry I couldn't give you a normal life.."
in the middle of his apologitical speech, some tears went down his cheeks

"Hmmp..Daehyun..loves daddy..." Said Daehyun who was snuggling in his Father's hold

He cried even more when he heard his son utter his first words

"hmmp..Hoseok? is that you? why are you crying?

Hoseok bit his lip when he realized that his wife was up

"He..Daehyun..said 'Daehyun loves daddy' ''

"really?! wow, such nice first words! but is that really the reason why you're crying?"

Hoseok didn't answer his wife's question. He only stared at her with concerned and teary eyes

"Hoseok, what's the reason for that look?.."

"our son..." He closed his eyes
"It's time.."

His wife stared at him wide eyed, tears frightening to fall

"Am I ever gonna see him again?"

"You will but you can't hold or cradle or even touch him anymore.."

"But why?! I'm his mother!"

"I know but,  he will have his own confimed room ,were the process will take place..I've ordered that the room'll be hard glass..even though it's hard for us to see him in pain..atleast then we could still talk and see him.."

"And your expecting me to easily approve to that?"

"yes..we've planned this out even before he was born..it is a must"

"But...our only child.."

"I know...I love him too, you know.. but sometimes we have to make sacrifices for the majority.."

His wife startes to cry after hearing that they had to hand over their only son

"Now, now..don't cry Dear. You wouldn't want to leave a bad impression to Daehyun at the last time you'll be able to hold him now, woul'd you?"

"No..."

"Then smile, smile for our little prince.."

And so after their last family cuddle, Hoseok left with the child to the Headquarters, leaving his crying and broken hearted wife..
Min Yoongi, the governor, rejoiced as they carefully placed the child on the machine where the process will take place..

They tied up Daehyun's limbs to keep him from moving too much, Then they inserted a tube one the vein of child's right arm, that's where the serum mixed blood will come out of. They inserted another tube on the left arm, that's where the artificial blood will go through. The process was extremely painful. The child could only cry and scream non-stop at it.  The painful yelps were enough to make Hoseok Turn away and agressively bring down tears for he could do nothing to stop his sons suffering.

"Yoongi! that's enough! he's cried so much already!"

"alright! alright!  no need to be so rash! "

"Rash?He was crying his heart out! Don't tell me not to be rash!"

"Hey I said it was over for now. we have enough for the test subject so we can stop now. But remember, this won't be the last of it all. You're son was born to do this, meaning he'll always experience this and you gotta start getting used to it"

Hoseok knew it was true. His son's fate was to suffer for the people but he just couldn't help but feel bad from seeing his own flesh and blood in so much pain.

They soothed Daehyun up to make him stop crying, it took hours but he stopped eventually. They prepared to try out the serum and installed it on the DNX301 and brought out their captured Tokiverox as a test subject. Once it was fully loaded, they aimed it on their targeted Tokiverox and as soon as they pulled the trigger, the beast disintegrated in less than a second. Yoongi , Hoseok and all the other people who witnessed it had their mouth agaped.

"This is it! this can finally help us defeat the Tokiverox and win planet earth back!"

"Yeah! I suppose it really can!  but..my son.."

"Oh, Lighten up Hoseok! Your son did this, instead of grieving over him, just thank him!"

"*sigh* I guess it'd be better that way..."

"That's the spirit!, now let the operators handle Daehyun,..and lets celebrate for new found success!"

"Why can't I handle my son?!"

"Because, you don't have the qualities for handling his kind of condition, and besides, you're probably exhausted"

"Maybe You're right, Yoongi..but let Daehyun rest okay, he's probably exhausted too.."

"You have my word"
