Daehyun crept closer to Youngjae as they walked through the quiet night. They weren't suppose to still be out, but Youngjae had insisted since they had spent all their time in the cube for the past couple of days. He promised to open the cube later when the night really hits though.. of course what Youngjae say, goes.

"What's wrong?"

"N-Nothing.." Daehyun crept even closer as he struggled to keep up with the Younger's pace

"Doesn't seem like it.."

"....ughhh...."

"Come on.. you can tell me anything..."

"C-Can I h-hold your h-hand?"

a gentle smile crept to the youngers lips as Daehyun shyly looked down, trying to hide the red evident on his face in reflex.

"O-Of course... You didn't even need to ask.." Youngjae said in a shy but happy tone as he gently took the latter's hand in his.. making Daehyun's fingers perfectly fit through the gaps of his

"Daehyun... don't you think the seven moons and the dark purple sky compliment eachother so much?" Youngjae looked up

There was a long silent pause before...

"Yeah... just like us.." realizing what he said, Daehyun began  stammering immediately

"I-I m-mean- Ugh.. n-not l-like us, I-I m-meant I- j-just l-like t-the- the..ugh..!"

Youngjae giggled

"hmnhmn.. You were blushing just now.."

"I-I was?"

"and you still are"

"I am?"

"Yes... yes you are.." noting how how adorable Daehyun was, cluelessly asking those questions while being flushed, Youngjae took the courtesy to pinch both side of his cheeks before connecting their hands again

"Say... Daehyun?"

"hmmn?"

"How about... we don't use the cube for tonight?"

"what? why?"

"well have you ever tried star gazing?"

"Obviously...I haven't.."

"well.. like I said before, everything has a first... do you wanna go for it, tonight?"

"ughhh.. before I agree to that.. mind telling me what we do when we do that?"

"Oh... it's ugh.... you know... we just have to find a hill or a field.. then we place sleeping mats there, if you don't know what a sleeping mat is, then think of it as a big cloth for us to lay in.. then after that.. we just lay there and look at the sky, while.. talking about random things and admiring what's above us.. until we eventually fall asleep.."

"Oh... that sounds nice... but won't you get cold?"

"Don't worry.. I'll wrap up, and besides... I have you, to keep me warm.."

"I'd keep you warm even if you never asked me to.."

"Thanks... I knew you would...
okay... first we need to find a place for us to star gaze.. well which do you prefer?
a hill or a field?"

"hmnnn...a hill is nicer..and besides... there are plentier odds of us finding one, rather than a field..."

"You're right.. by the way how do you know what a hill and a field is?"

"I was taught how landscapes looked like..."

"Oh... well everything comes in handy, right?"

"right.."

snooping closer, to the younger, Daehyun began looking around for any signs of a hill as Youngjae did the same

"Youngjae?"

"Hmmn?"

"Why do you suddenly want to star gaze?"

"....because... I miss it... my parents used to take me out star gazing before.. and plus the stars are really shimmering tonight....
it's okay if you feel uncomfortable with it.. we can just open the cube if that's the case.."

"N-No, it's okay... I wanna try it.."

"You sure?"

"Yes. Duper."

after a couple of hours of searching for a place to rest, they finally found the perfect place to settle down for the night..

it was a hill with a field upfront

"huh.. what a coincidence... There's both a hill and a field.. so if we don't like one of them.. we can just go to the other... well that's convenient.."

They decided to try the hill first. It had a single tree on it, considering it was more of just a small lump on the field than a hill. The moonlight beams shined over the silver leaved tree, making it's leaves the emphasis of the whole small landscape.

Youngjae opened the cube for a bit to get the sleeping mats then closed it immediately.

They settled the mats down, before they comfortably layed beside eachother as they settled themselves there as well

In Daehyun's opinion, Youngjae looked like a baby, because he was wrapped up in layers of clothes that shaped him in a bundle

he rolled himself closer so Youngjae could lean on him

despite the ground's hardness, he couldn't help but feel cozy.. The place they were staying in weren't really that affected by the snow, because there weren't any piles of white there.. either it all melted, or this was just an unaffected sanctuary

Youngjae was right. The night was indeed beautiful

there were swarms of 'stars' as he recalled all over the dark purple sky

The seven moons helped in lighting up the atmosphere

and only now did he think about the many beautiful things he missed in his 19 years of living

He placed an arm arounfmd Youngjae's side, keeping him close and warm just like he promised, as the latter leaned and gave in to the offer

"Youngjae?..."

"hmmn?..."

"It's beautiful..."

"The sky?"

"Yeah..."

"It's really pretty isn't it? We've been so preoccupied these days that we didn't have time to admire what's above us..it's just breathtaking.."

"Yes... you know...at times like these... I really can't help but feel sad about what I've been missing... the world is beautiful... and I've just wasted 19 years of living in solitude.. isolated in that god forsaken cage... it's just-just..."

Daehyun stopped there, tongue tied with all the emotions weighing and raging down on him at once..it was too fast...

"It's just.. too bad?" Youngjae blurted

"Yes... those are the words..*sigh* "

Youngjae looked over to Daehyun

"Hey now... Don't get upset.. by worrying about the past, you're wasting your time.. how about you stop spending your time worrying about what already happened and start spending it by enjoying what you have now..."

Daehyun's eyes looked everywhere but Youngjae's

He knew Youngjae was right.

Youngjae is always right.

"And besides.. you're only 19.. you still got a lot of time..."

Daehyun's eyes stayed focused on the bright sky

"Daehyun? are you listening"

at the sound of this Daehyun quickly averted his gaze to look at Youngjae

"Yes... I heard every word.."

Youngjae softened his gaze and suddenly Daehyun wasn't so troubled anymore

He was now able to see how beautiful the latter really was..

The way those eyes softened and glistened from the moonlight.. The way those lips looked so red. His cheeks...

It was indescribable

His heart started thumping so hard and fast in his chest right now. He couldn't keep up with it's unfamiliar rythym. It feels like his breath was being taken away

on the other hand Youngjae was in the same situation

'Why is he staring at me?'

He mentally added

he was really nervous

Daehyun slowly leaned forward

'It really feels like I have to do this'

He saw Youngjae fidgeting. He had his eyes downwards

He carefully draw his hand on the latter's cheek, carressing and tending to it like it was porcelain..like it would break if he carelessly nudged it

Daehyun slowly sat up using his free hand as a stand so he could bend halfway

he looked down at Youngjae's beautiful figure before him

a wave of emotions swallowed him..and at that very moment.. he just didn't know anymore

he slowly leaned closer

and when he was close enough, he could feel the younger's hot breath againts his face

leaning a little more, and seeing no signs of resistance from the latter, like it was his natural instincs telling him to, he softly planted his plump red lips on the latter's for a chaste, sweet and tender kiss

it was a bliss. 
Daehyun swore he just felt his heart jump out of his chest from that moment

Realising what he wanted, Daehyun carefully moved his lips as Youngjae tried to synch with his movements

neither one of them wanted to break it, but they had to breathe too, so Daehyun leaned back with a heavy heart

panting a little bit, Youngjae attempted to find the right words

"D-Daehyun... what was that?.."

"I-I don't know... I-I'm sorry... it's like my body had a mind of it's own.. I-I didn't mean it!"

"Y-You didn't mean it?" The comment came out sadder than how it should have been

hearing this Daehyun suddenly wanted to take back what he said

"N-No.. not like that! I mean, I wanted to do it- I-I didn't mean to creep you out! I S-Swear I-"

he was cut off by a sweet tone of laughter

"So you didn't mean it? but you wanted to do it? haha"

Daehyun furrowed his eyebrows in confusion

"What's so funny?"

he didn't get it.. why would Youngjae laugh at something like that? Daehyun guesses there were a lot of things he himself didn't know

"It's just.. why would you say you didn't mean it, if you wanted to do it? I got a little hurt there a little.."

Daehyun widdened his eyes

"Hurt?! what do you mean?! hurt where?!"

Youngjae took the opportunity  to joke around

he clasped his left chest

"Agh. my heart! it hurts!"

Daehyun stood up in panic

"What's happening?! why are you like that?! Why are you hurting?! Why does your heart hurt??!!!!"

"B-Because-B-Because- of you, D-Daehyun!"

Tears started to form on Daehyun's eyes as it rammaged down his cheeks later on

He clasped Youngjae tightly

"W-What did I do?! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!!"

He sobbed loudly as he kneeled before Youngjae

"Y-You said you didn't mean the kiss.. when I wanted you too.."

Daehyun calmed down a bit but he still didn't stop the tears from falling... well..at least he knew how to fix the problem he assumed was the problem

He leaned down to connect their lips again

He smoothly guided the younger's lips to synch with his movements once more, before he broke it off to stare at Youngjae's sparkling eyes lovingly

"I meant that one..."

he said as they shared the same air

"I Love you.." Youngjae finally managed to initiate for the first time before a shy genuine smile began to appear on his face

Daehyun gladly returned the smile

"I Love you too..."

Youngjae stared at the hot fallen tears on Daehyun's pink cheeks

he felt guilty for making him cry when the whole point of them running away was to not make Daehyun cry ever again

well.. now he feels like a criminal

he gently cupped Daehyun's cheeks with his hands. The tears vanished one by one as he wiped them away with his thumb

"I'm sorry I made you cry... I shouldn't have done that.."

"It's okay... is your heart still hurting?.."

Youngjae smiled. He thought about telling Daehyun that he was faking all of that..but he just couldn't bring himself to upset the boy for the second time

"no... I think you kissed it better"

Daehyun finally calmed his nerves and layed back beside Youngjae again

he sighed in relief

"...I'm glad..."

Youngjae sheepishly smiled.. he felt like it was the millionth time he smiled for the day. It's rediculous  how happy he can get with just the assurance of Daehyun's pesence by his side... it basically makes him fall harder for Daehyun any more than he already has... it might sound like he doesn't mean it when he says 'I Love you too' back at Daehyun, it might seem that he was just forced to say it back, just to save Daehyun from the pain of heart break.. it might just really seem that he's just playing or acting out..but no... he means every word...

he knew things would escalate to where they are now.. but to be honest, he kinda really wanted them to

"Daehyun? "

"Yes?..."

"nothing... I was just wondering if you were still awake or not..."

"oh..."

"I'm kinda sleepy..."

"Oh..it's okay, you can sleep.. I don't mind.."

"It will probably take a little more while... but yeah.. I'll take up that offer.."

Daehyun looked up to once again admire the glowing, twinkling stars..

then a thought came

'earth..'

What was it like there? he has heard a great deal about the planet.. he recalled the time an operator told him that if he'd be able to look up the night sky, he'd see billions of stars.. but among those stars, were planets... that means Earth was up there somewhere.. that means he's been veiwing it all this time. he never really thought about it before, but now.. he was getting curious..

'What if we will be able to go back... will I be of use to get there?'

Youngjae seemed happy talking to him about it, and although he knew neither of them has been there before.. he just couldn't help but smile about the happy remarks that the younger would gladly share to him, coming from the knowlegde he'd gained from his parents when they were still alive..

He wondered off if he could get Youngjae and all the other people back to where they really belong

he knew he could be the sole key to getting them back

he knew if they'd go back to the company, then they'd find a way to go back to earth

but the main problem is that...

he really didn't want to go back to the company..

he was scared.. and maybe now, that Youngjae stepped into his world.. they'd harm Youngjae too..

and he just couldn't have that..

Now he was having a small headache..

He closed his eyes for a brief moment

but he opened them as soon as he heard a soft snor

Youngjae was sleeping

"Hmmn... You must be very tired..."

He wrapped his arms around the latter, keeping him warm just as he said he would

he admired Youngjae's peaceful sleeping figure..

the way his chest rose up and down in a relaxing way, the way his lashes touched his cheeks. The way his cheeks stayed as rosey as his lips.. he was beautiful indeed..

he moved Youngjae's head to rest at the crook of his neck with an ever so gentle and careful manner, that he was afraid that the younger would break if he didn't

he tightened his hold. Before he finally let himself join the latter in slumber.

The weather was cold 
 

but they weren't..
